It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order.   2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. 'Tis the day to pull old posts out of the darkness! I'm pretty sure there's a similar thread out there.

      My best friend is well-aware of my doll obsession. She doesn't approve because she hates dolls and spending money. She'd seen my doll wishlist on Tumblr and stopped me in a phone conversation to ask WHY I wanted to get dolls. She said "you know they're not real, right? You don't want them to be, like, your children?" I laughed because she sounded so deeply concerned and let her know that no, I didn't not want them as substitute children, I wanted them because they're beautiful and can wear all the gorgeous clothes that I will never fit and have so many hair color and style choices! She likes to pass judgement on the dolls that I post, and when she saw a Kid Delf Bory, she said "If that thing was in my house, I'd have to smash it with a hammer before I could sleep."

    2. "Cover her up, she's making me cold!" - while I'm in the process of making clothes, whoever I'm making for is sitting on the sofa. With bare legs. And it's currently about 4C. So my housemate insists I put a bit of blanket over them.

    4. Recent exchange that occurred between my uncle and me. We'd gone over to Grandma's to celebrate an early Mother's Day, and like I usually do I took Johnny with me. The conversation began when I stood between my uncle and the TV.
      ME: Sorry you can't see. I'll get my butt out of your way in a minute.
      HIM: Don't worry, I'm just sitting here looking at your Barbie.
      ME: Oh, he's not a Barbie.
      HIM: He???

      My uncle doesn't normally notice my dolls at all, so I let it slide. Mama and I had a hearty LOL during the drive home.

    7. I don't have roommates or live with my parents, but my spouse asked "why is that doll standing there in her underwear? You have a ton of doll clothes". My daughters haven't noticed that I added a boy to the collection. He's just standing there but I think they don't really notice my dolls anymore.
