1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

And last but not least, I plan on receiving my precious Only-Doll QianDong and two Elfdoll heads, hopefully in January. If not, I'll settle for February.

    11. If there's anything I learned from this past year, it's how quickly the future can change! (And not just with dolly-related things either). Nevertheless, my broad outline for 2013 would probably be:

      1) Get the current doll completed. Right now he's sitting on my shelf with absolutely NOTHING, looking like an empty shell of a...thing. First things first is to bring him to life.

      2) Hopefully become more active on DoA. I totally identify with the lurkers right now, but considering that in my immediate vicinity, there's only a few people who know anything at all about my hobby, and only about one who isn't creeped out by it, it'd be a nice change to get to know other BJD owners better!

      3) Utilize BJD (once completed) to improve upon photography skills. I'm still in serious need of improvement right now.

      4) Get a job (which isn't 100% doll related, but it'll partially fund future dolly plans)

The rest I suppose I'll have to figure out as I go. I'm stuck between shelling my characters as mini-versions, aka MSD's, or sticking with the higher degree of realism that SD's provide. That'll be huge in determining anything else from here on...

    12. 1.Buy some good eyes and shoes for my dolls
      2.Get a boy doll

    13. Stop. Buying.

But I never seem to stick to this when cuties appear...

    14. Like so many other dolly enthusiasts, I too found my doll family grow a lot in just a year. I mean my first doll I got in February so to have grown this much is not at all what I expected.
      Dolly aspirations for 2013

      1) Stop buying! For at least the first 6 months. (Or until another irresistible cutie appears!!!)
      2) Play more with the dolls I have and explore their characters and relationships more.
      3) Practice my faceups more. I need a lot more confidence in this area.
      4) Get to making my dolls more clothes (Or buying them some specialised character clothing)
      5) Maybe, just maybe let go of my two Dollmore Model girls after my Iple tall girls arrive. I might have outgrown them (I could never bring myself to say I don't love them anymore)
      6) Get my floating DM Bella Head a really great posing body.
      7) Photograph my dollies more

    15. This is an interesting thread. It got me thinking on what my doll plans are for 2012.

      1. Slow down on buying new dolls (I've slowed down a lot)
      2. Figure out a way to display my favorite dolls (SD's take up a lot of space)
      3. Buy proper stands for all my dolls.
      4. Figure out whats needed and buy those items to complete all my various doll outfits. I have a dolls without shoes or a wig that matches/completes the outfit they are wearing.
      5. Sit down and inventory what I have as far as dolls go, including my other various dolls like Pullips, Monster High, Barbies, ect.
      6. Cull out what I don't need in my doll collection.
      7. Figure out a proper, organized way to store all the doll boxes. In the garage alone I have around twenty SD boxes. I have seven MSD and SD boxes in the hall closet and four SD boxes in my bedroom closet. I would like to store them in one place and have the outer boxes labeled so I know which box goes to which doll. That will take some time and seeing those boxes makes me feel like I have a doll problem. Sometimes its better to hide the boxes.

I'm sure I can think of more but this is just off the top of my head now. I would also like to become more proactive on DOA and not just a lurker.

    16. OOPS. I put 2012, when I meant my plans for 2013. Sorry.

    17. hmm my plans for 2013 is to hopefully cut down on impulse buys! That way I can:

      1. Actually get the dolls that have been on my wishlist since I started this hobby in '07
      2. Get a body for my dollshe husky and Soom Chrom
      3. Get another part-time job so that I can get those bodies lol.
      4. Get more clothes for my existing dolls.

    18. My plans dolly plans for 2013 are:
      - buy the rest of Kylee's immediate family; i.e. her sister and bro in law
      - buy more clothes
      - learn to sew ( so I wont have to buy so many clothes)
      - Get kylee a new wig of three
      - take more pictures
and some more things that escape me at the moment

    19. I hope to buy at least 1 more doll. I would also love to have new wigs for all of my dolls and tons of more clothing. By the end of the year I hope that I will be comfortable enough with all of my dolls to at least sell one. (I bought way too many way too fast!)

    20. I confess I hate making plans like this because plans never work for me ;). But there are some things I will try to do in the next few months..

      - Buying Iplehouse Mari as an counterpart for my beautiful Dover
      - send her and Dover to get a (new) faceup (I hope and pray they will fit together as it´s on my mind - I´m a little afraid letting him go because actually he IS beautiful yet..)
      - make some commissions in clothing for them
      - trying to make some more jewelry for my dolls (maybe I begin to sell..)
      - hope to have the confidence to try again to sew and/or do another Faceup
      - I need a few backdrops and accessories
      - ideally someday I´m able to buy a GOOD camera ;) so I finally will be able to make the pics I always have in mind
