What are you Doll Plans for 2013?

Not so much to buy more. I dream of getting all the dolls and everything else I have collected for them organized. Sort out previous hobby supplies, make displays for specially designed by me dolls. BIG ONE> finally get over all my hesitations and other "to-do" things I've told myself must be finished before I can start seriously customizing my dolls. I'm hoping 2013 is going to be the beginning of some very exciting things for me and my love for bjd.

 

Buy at least one more doll, attend at least two doll shows, learn to restring my dolls, improve my costume designs and upgrade my costumes with more exquisite materials. I want a high art display of my dolls.

 

So I discovered this year that I am TERRIBLE at faceups. Just honest-to-goodness terrible. Maybe I'll try again in a year or so, and keep my supplies until I'm ready. But I'm crossing that off the list of things to do for this year because it's just not happening.

As for #5, I'd like to welcome home my first of three mini-size dolls - Ringo, my SDC Kurenai. I never saw this one coming, except for to say "who knows~?".

 

1. Receive my Pukifee Pio
2. Do his faceup
3. Redo Miyuki's faceup (hers is fairyland fullset default)
3. Get more clothes for them
4. Get working on some dioramas or dollhouse
5. Take more photos
6. Save money for MORE (err.. Maybe... =P )

 

Hate to say it, but I ordered my twins and my Tiffany. Both have been put off for years, and now it's time.

 

I have two goals this year:

1. Spend time working on dolls in hand, as I've neglected some a LOT.
2. Flesh out the two main storylines, and purchase only a couple of dolls for those.

My purchasing has slowed hugely, but even so, I still need to fine tune the characters I have. I'm a big slacker!

 

Get my Claus and Nina a decent set of clothes... What they had, I made.....
Which is not a good thing.
I did swipe a cute dress off of a porcelain doll for Fleur, but it's velcro closed and I hate that..soooo...blah

 

1 - get "reoriented" in the doll world and find out what's going on since 2008
2 - sell off a couple dolls
3 - sculpt and cast the first two in my line of MSD boys ^_^
4 - get back to making doll clothes (gotta see if the sewing machine still works...)

 

1. Get clothes for my DollLeaves kira named Oliver before he comes home.
2. Go to an anime con with my doll for the first time this year.
3. Save up for the X-Mass sales that the doll companys are sure to have this year!
4. Modd my YO-SD DollNDoll Heart Zinnia's head so that the S-hook does not slip out. DONE!

 

1. Find new homes for the dolls I haven't bonded with.
2. Buy my first boy and first Yosd
3. Save for LDoll and/or Pupa*Casa anniversary
4. Resist buying dolls that aren't on my shortlist!

 

My plans are to sew ja design clothes to my doll. Maybe end of year, if I have money, I would bye new doll in christmas present to myself. But first I need to plan everything carefully before hunting the right one. I have now only one doll and her character is my rpg character. I think some things are going to change. Will see.

 

My doll plans for 2013...

1. Find another girl doll I like (I have sooo many girl outfits I'd like to have one more girl). - Done! (05/13)
2. Get a body for at least one of the floating heads. - Done (6/13)
3. Get face up for floating head. - in progress
4. Get back into photographing dolls.
5. Find new home for doll I don't wish to keep any longer.
6. Switch up dolls outfits more often.
7. Buy another doll stand.
8. Resist buying anymore dolls (after new girl and new body for floating head are acquired) till next year, focus on what I've got.

 

Well, this has never happened before, but here I am at mid-year and I've pretty much blown most of my carefully made 2013 plans completely!!! Say what????

1) After being very careful not to increase my numbers last year, I feel I'm ready for a little expansion...I'm actually looking forward to shelling a few new characters in 2013! I added 1...but sold 6 when I decommissioned my resin monster high crew!
2)Make Coyote Blue a wardrobe based on cute socks. I still want to continue to build a wardrobe based on cute socks...but I sold Coyote Blue with the rest of her resin monster high cronies! So what now?
3) Reorganize, refine and continue to expand the wardrobes of my entire crew. I did completely reorganize everything neatly into plastic storage drawers, so that part was a success...but when I did that I discovered my dolls already have tons of clothing and really don't need anymore!
4) Get all those extra resin bits finally blushed and painted (ears, horns, weapons, armor pieces, etc.) *Done by Feb 21st! Okay, that's one success out of 5.
5) Update my signature by dividing it into two groupings, the resin monster high crew and all the rest, and then rotate using them. Since the resin monster high crew is completely gone now, I guess I'll only have to update a single signature with what's left.

 

Okay, halfway through the year and it looks like a good time to review my goals, as I see a few other people have been doing!

Meta goal: Purchase a maximum of 4 new dolls, no more!

Doll Purchasing:
XX 1) Shell Lara Croft with an Iplehouse Stella

Doll Maintenance:
XX 1) Buy an additional cabinet to house dolls in
2) Sell off unused wigs and outfits -- I never change my dolls clothes so there's no need for extras!
3) Organized eyes, wigs, and accessories in a more thorough manner, not just thrown together in a drawer.
4) Get a proper outfit for Beastylove, my little Warcraft gnome!

So I'm still working on the last three goals! I've actually sold off a few things, but not enough to make the dent I was hoping to. Also, I need to find someone that works with the Sugarble glamour bodies to commission for an outfit but that's been a daunting task So I keep putting it off.

10. Shoes - Yo SD sized, Mega Gem

11. Body for my Dollfie Dream heads and clothes and shoes.

12. Body for my LTF Nanuri

13. Purchase a Feeple60 Chloe - Done

14. Go through Wig bin and sell off wigs no one uses

 

Okay complete revamp: I just paid off my visa EARLY by 2 months! *whee*... now I can I can get onto the main events ^^. This first bit should be done in the next 3-4 weeks (or sooner depending on incoming info)

1. order IH basic EID Luna with spare hands and geta feet ^^/faceup/blushing
2. order IH basic JID 'I' (almost posotive on this.... she's top but there is a second choice I'm waffling on) with spare parts/blushing and custom face up.
3. decide on wigs for the girls choosing is so hard! (but choice is narrowed down at least). DONE (selected 3 starter styles ^^)
4. pick ONE extra outfit for EID with doll.... not 2 or 3 or..... DONE - but still ended up with 3 total outfits ><;
5. organize places for incoming girls (this is actually a challenge O_o) and growing doll wardrobe (shoes take an obscene amount of space.) IN PROGRESS I keep fiddling with it as I get stuff.

Longer term stuff:
1. Clean up mothers long abandon sewing corner <-- been avoiding this since she passed on ... it's hard.
2. get mom's sewing machines reconditioned to use
3. make 'sundress' pattern as a test dress. ( I panic at the thought of sewing... this is huge for me).

By end of year:
1. Lay in started clothes for EID man
2. MAYBE start plans for a nYID girl

 

My doll plans for 2013 is to brought my first bjd doll since i only now have pullip dolls.
Maybe i can't stop collecting bjd dolls after i got my first one XD And learn to make some nice handmade clothes for my dolls

 

1. Faceups for everyone!

2. Handmade wigs for everyone!

3. Buy bodies for the boys.

4. Buy more shoes. Sew more clothes.

5. Tan my girl. (Need one more bottle of paint and her head before I can start, so this will probably be the last thing I do...)

6. Rehome a couple of dolls I haven't bonded with.

7...? I found a floating head today. I'm going to carve into his face.

 

1 - find the sought-after 1.0 body for my beloved Unoa
2 - buy an Elfdoll Dami
3 - sew and buy many many outfits for my girls
4 - improve face-up ability
5 - maybe I'll fall in love with some other doll... yes, this could really happen...

 

Now that I'm half-way through the year I must admit that I completely lost track of what my goals even were! X'D
I have a brand new one that I'm excited about, though; trying to dye resin. I have a pretty yellowed PW Goldie and I've decided to try and pinkify her a bit. It all feels very adventurous!
