What are you Doll Plans for 2013?

I thought I had no plans for 2013 at all, but since I decided to reenter the hobby I now have lots to do! Gotta plan my "first" doll back in the hobby and start working on my next dolly as well. Hopefully I'll have doll #2 ordered by the end of the year.

 

I don't remember what I last posted here (I'm pretty sure I did though), but my plans have changed -drastically-.
This year includes now two more Doll Chateau lovelies:
DC Dolores to be made into the antagonist of AoM(game)
annd a DC Alma, whom was on impulse because I fell in love.
Both are on layaway though.

 

I was leaving the hobby, but then I stumbled across a for sale thread of a white skin Glorydoll Louis, which I've been looking for for ages! So never mind, it's a 180 degree u-turn right back into bjd collecting. Such perfect timing, since I had money from selling my two full dolls. I can't wait for Louis to arrive.

I might buy a body for my Kill_U 1st head (which, thankfully, was one of the heads I had not yet sold) this year, too. Still deciding what I want. I'm leaning toward SD13 since I notice this body is easy to find, quite a reasonable price secondhand on the marketplace, and fits most clothes, but I wonder if I should splurge on a SD17 or another slightly taller body.

Also considering a camera. I really want to take it slow this time around, work on faceups with my practice head and work on photography and not start accumulating dolls too quickly, so it might be that the camera is my last big bjd hobby purchase for the year, and poor Kill_U can wait until next year.

 

I'm selling all my doll stuff, dolls, clothes etc. And I will start from clean table! Why? Because, I don't have any interest with my dolls anymore, and I will try to find the lovely feeling when you take your dolls from their boxes!

 

This is very much like my own 2013 plans! I just got back from a loooong break and unpacking my dolls gave a mixed reaction. Some I felt nothing for and they will be rehomed, a couple others will receive an allover makeover!

Time to start fresh! I think I will move into a more experimental part. I really love Doll Chateau and bluoxyde is a true inspiration! I've also fallen in love with tinies, and I think I will branch out there as well ^^ Previously all I wanted was the pretty migidoll boys etc, but my interest has really moved away from that and now I am almost exclusively looking at girl dolls. Go figure xD

 

I really want to finish at least three of my floating heads (A Feeple65 body for my Soom SO Galena, a Limhwa 57cm body for my Unoa Latea, and a Dollstown Elf body for my Elfdoll R.Lydia) and buy one full doll (Iplehouse Audrey) and buy at least one new outfit for everyone so they all have at least one change of clothes. THEN if I've gotten all that done, I'll complete my last floating head. (An Angell-Studio double-jointed girl body for my migidoll Jina)

I think I can get that much done by the end of the year. Along with this, I am also working on a mod project to give as a gift to one of my friends, but I don't count it among MY doll plans...

 

my doll plans for this year got ruined thanks to DOD and their limited edition elves....i was supposed to bring home an iplehouse Arvid and DOD DOC ivan and kirill.....now those dolls must wait until next year to be ordered as i still hope to go through with the other half of the plans...get a soom ID72 York from an FCE if the event happens again by the end of the year.

 

1) Get some of my dolls sold, I'm seeing myself favoring more of the Sd's or Hujoo msd's
2) Get Apollo
3) Get Chen
4) Work more on clothing for my boys and character development
5) Go to con's and exercise my face-up skills

Hmm doll plans for this year. Well lets see now.

1) Buy Elfdoll Rita and turn her into Clove from The Hunger Games (Done though she hasn't arrived yet)
2) Buy Simply Divine Richard head to turn into Cato from The Hunger Games
3) Buy Granado Nuevo body with jointed hands for Cato
4) Buy Clothes, Eyes and Wigs for Cato and Clove (Clove's is all done, still saving up for Cato and his stuff)
5) Possibly consider buying Dollzone Carter head and hybriding it with a Doll Chateau MSD boy body.

And yeah I think that's it. It's only really Cato and Clove that are planned for this year though in truth. The Dollzone/Doll Chateau hybrid is just a vague not even plan right now.

 

I plan on cuddling with my personal Sephiroth and give him lots of love and attention and take more pictures of him. I'm getting his jointed hands later this month or next month.

 

My main plan for 2013 is to get a decent wardrob for my girl. And maybe buy another doll at the end of the year.

 

I just finished my first doll in June, so my plans for the rest of the year is to start building her wardrobe (trying to resist the urge to buy clothes and make them instead, but there are soooo many cute clothes!) and save up for a second doll by the end of the year for my Christmas present.

 

I didn't have a plan when I got my first doll back in January but now I've got a second doll! For the rest of the year, I'll try to stick to making clothes for them and continue with faceup practices. Otherwise, I'm considering buying a new camera and saving for my next doll (though it's highly unlikely I'll get him by the end of the year). I also hope to get some things for them like more eyes and wigs for variety.

 

To buy a littlefee! I have no idea what sculpt I want though.

 

2013 Is the year that I have been introduced to the BJD hobby. I have learned so much from 1-1-13 to now. I have managed to get my first few dolls, meet some great people, joined DoA and place a bunch of pre-orders. My 2013 is going to be a year of getting a flood of dolls like many in 2012. I look forward to what 2014 will bring as I get even deeper into this hobby!

 

I've been considering starting a savings fund for my first Dollfie Dream. I've always wanted a Dollfie Dream but there's no way I could afford one right now so I figured saving for 2 or 3 years might get me at least a bit closer .

 

I'm going to do new faceups for my boys... one of them has his company faceup and the other I bought second hand so it's technically someone else's character's faceup. I'll probably be getting them fangs too. I'll be body blushing and doing the face of my girl. Hopefully, I'll nab myself some glass eyes to replace the acrylic ones for my boys... Maybe buy a new doll. I'd ideally like to work on my current dolls before acquiring new ones

 

I didn't really make any this year and happily enough i've met some of them already. Guess my doll plans would be.
1-Pick out a doll to preorder for my 20th
2 buy a yosd (done)
3 get more clothes
4 finsh all sewing prodjects
5 get a DD
6 go to more meetups.

 

Time to update! (07/13/13) progress on long term #2!

1. order IH basic EID Luna with spare hands and geta feet ^^/faceup/blushing DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
2. order IH basic JID 'I' (almost positive on this.... she's top but there is a second choice I'm waffling on) with spare parts/blushing and custom face up. DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
3. decide on wigs for the girls choosing is so hard! (but choice is narrowed down at least). DONE (selected 3 starter styles ^^)
4. pick ONE extra outfit for EID with doll.... not 2 or 3 or..... DONE - but still ended up with 3 total outfits ><;
5. organize places for incoming girls (this is actually a challenge O_o) and growing doll wardrobe (shoes take an obscene amount of space.) IN PROGRESS I keep fiddling with it as I get stuff. (June 15 note: not sure this will ever get truly done as I keep rearranging stuff -_-)
6. purchase at least ONE full outfit for EID model body (I lucked out on getting in on the 'renewal' body event... so I have the EID body but no head now ;p (added to list 07/04/13) I got lucky and found the shoes I wanted on market place ^^.
7. Buy Iple's new 'flat' shoe selection for big gals feet!(added to list 07/04/13)

Longer term stuff:
1. Find a camera that I can use (need to work around vision issue - this is not an easy task)
2. Clean up mothers long abandon sewing corner <-- been avoiding this since she passed on ... it's hard. Progress made! large table half cleared off and can get at machines! Also located manuals! (cried when I tried to make sense of any of it ;-. It's to a point where if they were conditioned someone who knew thier stuff could work there! But I still need to have them professionally tuned up after nearly 4 years on no use...
3. get mom's sewing machines reconditioned to use -
4. make 'sundress' pattern as a test dress. ( I panic at the thought of sewing... this is huge for me).
5. Sell off some of Barbie collection (really hard to part with but I will try) AND anything else I can get rid of ^^. (started with sale of Mom's 'hospital bed)

By end of year:
1. Lay in starter clothes for EID man checking out possible bargain of dressed doll (just ordinary stuff)
2. O_O Start saving/getting YID girls "new" outfits just available on Iple now.
