What are you Doll Plans for 2013?

That's a tough one. I have to admit one of the luckiest things for me is that I won't buy a doll with anything other than white skin which narrows my MP findings considerably. Whew. I had just gotten my DA (Dollaholics Anonymous) one year medallion and then bought three dolls and a head over the course of a month. Dolly binge, I'm binging.....I would be ashamed if I wasn't so fraught with joyful anticipation....

 

Now mine is to get my faceless dolls faces!

 

I've brought 4 dolls home this year (well the 4th I'm still waiting for) and I have no other dolls planned until next year. I made a deal with my honey so that I could bring home my M-Line Celine before Fairyland discontinued them. The deal was no more dolls till 2014!!! However, he brought up the idea of getting a cheaper doll to use as practice for body blushing and face-ups. >.> So, my wandering eye has been sweeping through the marketplace and doll sites looking for someone suitable. I think if I do get a practice doll I'd want him or her to fit with my current group. I'm seriously considering Resin Soul Han or Qing. I wonder if I could convince him I need both because male and female dolls are different and I need all the practice I can get. I'll have to gently remind him that this was his doing not mine.

 

My Doll plans for 2013
1. Selling my two Migidoll boys, who i sadly just can't bond with it.

2. Get a dollstown 18yrs Boys Hwan
3. Complette the outfits of my dolls
4. Finally get them some proper shoes and underwear!( i have 5 dolls and 3 of them have underwear and two have shoes)
5. Get a proper Camera and discover the mysteries of Photoshop

so yeah. that are my doll plans so far ^^

 

1. Finish my layaway for an SD13 Irvin.
2. Pay off my Xenosaga DDS Momo pre-order.
3. Add a tan LTF Ante or MNF Shushu to my collection if I can sell my Saint in time.
(No other dolls if not them though, time to focus on completing everyone.)
4. Find the right eyes for my Olivia.
5. Find the right wig and eyes for my MNF Chloe.
6. Annoy my girlfriend into making everyone clothes.
7. Paint as many other peoples' dolls as I can to replace my airbrush compressor and fund my nasty doll shoe and coat habit which I haven't enabled in a few years.

 

Okay...I've finally come to terms with my epic fail of completing my goals for this year. Nothing was working with either my plans or the vast majority of my dolls. But happily, it all turned out to be serendipitous in the end. After a huge sell-off that left me with only one doll, I realize this gives me the unique opportunity to try something I've always wanted to do...having only one very special and very spoiled doll! This is what I wanted from the moment I first started in this hobby. As I detoured away from my initial goal, I lost sight of it after failing at it twice! But now, as I was waiting for the inspiration to regroup, I've suddenly realized I'm truly happy with just my one special doll...and to think it only took me 7 years to come full circle and accomplish that feat!

 

First, get my first doll and all necessary wigs/clothes/etc. Then I wait forever until I can get another one. Such deeply thought out plans of mine, LOL.

 

My revamped plans for 2013 are as follow since much has changed!

1. Get my Unoa hybrid's parts! (headback/body/hands)
2. Get my IoS Chaos his faceup and body
3. Pay off my DDS Momo preorder
4. Buy the Dollheart sets I've been eyeing for my crew
5. Meticulously save for my Crobidoll Tei
6. Get more shoes and coats for my crew =.=
7. Buy a couple of wigs and clothes for whoever needs them

 

1) A new outfit for each of of my dolls
2) Save up for new face-ups for both dolls
3) Make next years list

 

My plans are:

1. Get my new body for my alberta.
2. Make clothing for my alberta
3. Get Dante in his doll form plus all his clothing XD

 

Get my first doll! Hopefully pretty soon too if I can pay off the layaway quick enough.
Do my first faceup and start doing practices so I can get in to the hobby of doing face ups. [I have some small experience and really enjoy it]
Save up for a second doll. xD

 

Oh my gosh, PoeticSoul, if there were like buttons for posts, I'd of hit it twice for yours. You have no idea how often of this type of thought and impulse comes through my mind. I find myself wanting to buy more and more and yet when I do they end up on the market place as I just cant....I don't know...connect. Not like with my first one. I have four SDs now and to be honest I'd be plenty happy with two, my Anna and Malaki.

You're just giving me things to think about. Perhaps new goals to forge.

 

Getting my first doll... almost done! I paid off the layaway and now I'm onto waiting It would be cool to get another doll this year, but that might have to be pushed to a 2014 goal (after birthday money). Hopefully this year I can try to do a faceup, learn to sew for my doll, and maybe find some people in my area who have bjds, too. Hopefully I can keep up with him once school starts; thats my biggest worry.

 

I said back in May that my only doll goal for 2013 was completing my first doll... and I managed to meet that goal much sooner than I expected. I'm currently waiting for my second doll, so my updated plans are to continue expanding my first girl's wardrobe and to have my second finished/eyed/wigged/faceupped/dressed by the end of the year. And to decide which doll from my wishlist I'm going to make my third and apply my slowly growing doll-savings towards next year.

 

My plans are:
1. To purchase my Dollzone Raymond (which will happen within the week if I'm lucky).
2. Find a faceup artist to paint his face and tattoo sleeves.
3. Commission Dieux-Faux for his wig.
4. Order his clothes from TTYA
4. Blush the hands for

 

This year is a little over halfway done, but I'm hoping to save up for a doll and purchase all the extras before the year is up! c:

 

All MY doll plans for this year got thrown out the window w/Volks Sakamoto - I 'manfully' resisted entering the lottery only to find myself entering a layaway here at the Marketplace LOL LOL LOL
That's the way it goes.

 

I've finally finished Leila, so I feel like I can actually begin planning for my next doll! And she has a ton of clothes and things, so I don't really need to buy anymore (except that I'm addicted to doll shoes and Taobao) :3 So, tentatively, this is my to-do list:

1. Save up and buy an Oasisdoll Linglan head
2. Buy a doll carrier
3. Get new string to restring Leila's arms (the other string I bought is too thick :/ )
4. Get MSC to begin practicing face-ups
5. Get lots of option hands! This is actually at the top of my list, but I forgot until I started going, hah.
6. Get a winter coat and tights from Sunny's World.

 

My biggest thing is getting the dolls I own set with something, like clothes and wigs. Just finishing them would be nice, which I have accomplished one so far, almost 2, but I was bad and I bought 3 dolls this year and a head, first floating head...., which I am still waiting for. Which I will receive two this year and sometime next year the third, long waits suck, but more time to find the perfect things right? Might be from not buying any dolls for the last 4 years might have helped but I am proud of my process, everyone has a wig, eyes, and clothes.

 

My doll plans for 2013 are:

1) Get a faceup for incoming MNF Mirwen and event head
2) Commission outfit for my Soom Amber MD
3) Save up for a MNF Ante. She is so much cuter in owner pictures that I need one now.
4) Work towards getting dolls I've been putting off in favor of limited dolls. Souldoll Shiva, Dollzone Demi.

I figure I will accomplish the first two easily. The second two may have to wait for next year and more space!!
