What are you Doll Plans for 2013?

My plans are to:
1) Get Frankenstein 2013 by Ringdoll home and then do the face-up etc.
2) Take all the 2014 doll wall calander photos within the next 3 months
3) Sew some clothes for my Lusion doll
4) Buy my 3rd Souldoll Zenith girl (sawing up as I write this)
5) Build a 3rd horse for my dolls, so far I have one pony made for my Lusion doll and one horse for my SD13/60cm dolls. I´m working on the frame for the 70cm doll horse allready, but it will take months to finish.
6) Re-arange my doll army, I have over 30 dolls again and some of them needs a new home. Since they no longer fit into the evolved storyline.
7) Make some more doll wigs (I´m experimenting with this)
8) Finishing two half-way done face-up´s or re-doing them completly. I have yet to decide though.

 

At least a few goals have been met...^^

 

2013 is not thus ended I can again speak about my plans for this year ^^

Then:

1) to Buy 2 mnf who miss me for my family BJD (Mirwen and Celine) ^^" If I can...
2) to develop my relief photographic project
3) to sew, to sew, to sew for them!!!

 

Just a couple of things:

1.Buy an Iplehouse Eric(real skin) cause I've been wanting him for a year now and I think that's more than enough pining,lol
2.Finish buying some accessories that will complete a few of my characters
3.buy more clothes for my only semi complete doll


of course these are expensive so I'm not really sure ill be able to complete most of this on time

 

My only goal every year is to finish the dolls I already own! It always presents a unique challenge because different dolls rise in urgency to complete as parts or face-up artists become available. Not to mention, there's always the temptation of the Marketplace to bring home other dolls. My list of priorities shifts regularly but it is never dull! As of this post, my specific goals include:

- measure my Secretdoll Yomo and Limhwa Human for eyes (16 or 18mm?) and order them
- find a nice 8-9 size brunette ponytail wig!
- place another order at Leekeworld
- commission some mod work and fantasy blushing for my Lati/Soom hybrid
- decide on face-up artists and commission face-ups for four more dolls (yikes!)
- order a body for one girl and a head for another
- restring a few bodies, wire others

There's probably more but I know I have no chance on finishing even all of those.

 

lol ya that one... I have yet to find one that is not an odd short wig with a clip on... in any color... I want a nice single high ponytail... any suggestions?

 

I'm lurking and reading because I'm looking at the goal lists and thinking it might be a good idea for me to make one. My upcoming goals are to choose dolls and get them and props ready for BJDC Austin (theme Midnight on the Midway) and then choose and outfit the few that can fly with us to Dollism USA, so the task stretches beyond the calendar year but is very nearly a year from now. It will also depend on any competitions and what the theme for Dollism USA is. I think I'm going to give this some serious thought when Glitchcon is finished this Sunday and make a plan!!

You planners have inspired me, thank you

 

1. I have one more doll I would like to aquire this year and that would be Luts Zuzu Delf Fenny.
2. Plant some nice flowers and foliage outside to use when taking doll photos.
3. Sew some MSD sized clothing for two girls I have on their way eventually.

 

Things get changed around all the time! I had to come to terms with some things though, so~ I'm happy now, as well as with my new goals!

1. Pay off my Hal, Mai and Ante
2. Pay for my DDS Momo preorder
3. Sew lots of clothes for Ealdred
4. Learn how make various props
5. Collect missing bits and pieces to complete the dolls at home

 

Only one really and that's to order a Doll Love YouYou. I have had the money several times over but other things have came up or have been planned like the Minnesota Renaissance Faire in September or going camping over Labor Day weekend with my friends.
October might be a possibility but that's if Halloween parties don't come up.

 

My doll plans for the remaining months of 2013:
1. Try to make some outfits.
2. Buy eyes and wigs.
3. Buy outfits.
4. Buy more dolls.
5. Go to events related to dolls.

 

Well, I was able to get a practice head! She's a minifee Woosoo and will be my character Niah after I've finished practicing with her. So, all that's left for 2013 is to purchase/make clothes for my current crew, and buy shoes for my yosds. Is it bad that I'm already planning for 2014??

this year was the year of the doll. I started the hobby this year and next year I intend to buy my last batch of dolls. After that I'll probably retire from the buying scene for awhile and maybe get the gang special face ups or something once I find an artist who's handiwork I like better than mine.

2. Realize it's going to take forever to save the money and sell two dolls to get the money instead. Done
3. Buy Littlefee Lishe. Done
4. Buy For My Doll wig.
5. Buy glass eyes.
6. Order custom Littlefee outfits from Spampy.
7. Take tons of pictures.
8. Persuade hubby to help me make a Littlefee room box for my Lishe. Done
9. Make Littlefee room box with furniture.
10. Order Littlefee armchair.
11. Order custom Littlefee bedding.
12. Eat bread and water for the rest of the year!

 

I had two main goals for this year:

1. Limit myself to fewer dolls than last year

2012 brought me: Beryl, Topaz/Amber hybrid, Hati, Skoll and Benmore (head+parts). 4 full dolls, 1 head plus fantasy parts.
2013 brought me: Sweet Witch (head), Breccia (incoming), Amphibel/Coquina hybrid (incoming), and a Coquina head (planned). 2 full dolls, 2 heads.

2. Start selling off fantasy parts I won't actually use for my characters

I still have some parts to decide about (Galena's talons, Clozel's ostrich legs, etc), but I've already sold a couple of fantasy items that were just gathering (figurative) dust.

 

Minor updates (11/25)

1. order IH basic EID Luna with spare hands and geta feet ^^/faceup/blushing DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
2. order IH basic JID 'I' (almost positive on this.... she's top but there is a second choice I'm waffling on) with spare parts/blushing and custom face up. DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
3. decide on wigs for the girls choosing is so hard! (but choice is narrowed down at least). DONE (selected 3 starter styles ^^)
4. pick ONE extra outfit for EID with doll.... not 2 or 3 or..... DONE
5. organize places for incoming girls (this is actually a challenge O_o) and growing doll wardrobe (shoes take an obscene amount of space.) IN PROGRESS I keep fiddling with it as I get stuff. (June 15 note: not sure this will ever get truly done as I keep rearranging stuff -_-) August note: cats are learning not to eat the dolls and I can leave them on my dresser most of the time now ^^.
6. purchase at least ONE full outfit for EID model body (I lucked out on getting in on the 'renewal' body event... so I have the EID body but no head now ;p (added to list 07/04/13) I got lucky and found the shoes I wanted on market place ^^. Sort of done?... I have to wait for IH to restock some items.
7. Buy Iple's new 'flat' shoe selection for big gals feet!(added to list 07/04/13) Partly done, ordered one of the 3 pairs available. Have not needed other 2 styles yet.

So this makes the primary list DONE with only tweaking needed. Like the extra shoes and a more 'proper' outfit for my big man ^^. Time to think about getting my EID man?

Longer term stuff:
1. Find a camera that I can use (need to work around vision issue - this is not an easy task) DONE I think... got a camera that should allow me to use my 'large screen tablet like a remote... still need to test this out though. ^^ yes DONE! works like a charm. Now waiting to see what 'classes' the store plans to offer in the new year! Also have a flicker account to house my rather alarming number of pictures lol.
2. Clean up mothers long abandon sewing corner <-- been avoiding this since she passed on ... it's hard. Progress made! large table half cleared off and can get at machines! Also located manuals! (cried when I tried to make sense of any of it ;-. It's to a point where if they were conditioned someone who knew their stuff could work there! But I still need to have them professionally tuned up after nearly 4 years on no use...
3. get mom's sewing machines reconditioned to use - May not be needed!
4. make 'sundress' pattern as a test dress. ( I panic at the thought of sewing... this is huge for me).
5. Sell off some of Barbie collection (really hard to part with but I will try) AND anything else I can get rid of ^^. (started with sale of Mom's 'hospital bed)

By end of year:
1. Lay in starter selection clothes (basic elements for wardrobe) for EID man ... Done except for items Iple needs to 'restock'.
2. O_O Start saving/getting YID girls "new" outfits just available on Iple now.... "saving" is not possible for the moment after a botch job bettween my bank and Paypal wiped out my 'cash' account -_-... that and Iples 'new' selection of outfits taking some priority >< Change in game plan with new dolls/outfits coming out from IH... I only want ONE of the previous items now ^^ and several of the new ones ><

Almost to year end and on target for the most part for longer term stuff and may even be able to 'order' a new doll before year end... maybe. ^^
