1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What are you Doll Plans for 2013?

Dec 13, 2012

1. Updating this since we're closing in on the end of 2013...

* I have one of my unfinished girls mostly done, and another one on her way! I still have a fair amount of work (especially considering mods that need to be done), but I'm at least down to only two totally blank ones. (Two need cleaning/redone faceups/blushing, and one has a faceup but needs extensive body mods and blushing.)

* A couple of dolls... h-hahhah I ordered FIVE since I posted the original comment. I guess I came back to the hobby HARD. Whoops. (Only one of the five is home, I may see three more by the end of the year, and one is on layaway until next year.)

* I now have ideas for even more incoming dolls than I had at the time, and am getting a little more secure on the sculpts that will fit their characters.

2. 1. Pay off Soom Agate - Done

2. Pay off Volks Neon - Done

3. Twin Claus in normal for Luka and Sage - Done

4. KDF Pine girl for Tiffany - Done

5. KDF Nana girl - Maybe in future but not sure

6. Brown skin Claus for Mikalis (Senior Delf Event 2013 head on a Junior Delf body.) done

7. Puki body and polar bear set in white - Done

8. Faceups - Jade (Sleeping), Jiro (both faces), Pallas, Kenyon (along with blushing their bodies), DDH-04 head (eyes need setting), Adai head. (Jade's getting hers) - Jade, my DDs, and Adai head got their faces. Jiro, Pallas, and Kenyon have not.

9. Clothes - Cutie Delf boy, LTF boy/girl, Mega Gem, and Delf girl - need to do

10. Shoes - Yo SD sized, Mega Gem - need to do

11. Body for my Dollfie Dream heads and clothes and shoes. - one body gotten!

12. Body for my LTF Nanuri - sold off

13. Purchase a Feeple60 Chloe - Done

14. Go through Wig bin and sell off wigs no one uses - still need to do

3. Getting my first bjd, Angelo from 5Star Doll - Done

4. My BJD goals for 2013 are based on getting realpuki soso and pukipuki pukisha for Christmas. I have Doll Leaves "Mint" on preorder.

1. Learn to do face ups
2. Learn to make clothes in such a small size
3. Make wigs for each doll
4. Continue to learn (since I'm a BJD newbie)
5. To post pictures and doll deliveries
6. To continue being active in the BJD community

This might be too much to take on in one year but my spirits are high!

5. So, since 2013 is getting closer & closer to it's end, i'm being realistic and hope to

1. Try doing faceups! Excited.
2. Sew at least a little bit of clothes.
3. Get some stuff sold and help myself with saving money for the body (so damn exspensive, arrrr).

That's pretty much all i'm trying to accomplish. Because exams = no time.

6. 2013 is very near to it's end so I only have two goals for the bit that remains.
Well, one more of a hope than a goal. >.<

1. Finally get my Minifee Chloe in the mail. Done

2. Start looking up patterns and tutorials for doll clothes. Done

7. Major year end update! One huge addition. 12/14/2013

Order Dexter! (to be done before Dec. 31 event deadline Korea time). If possible add missing wardrobe elements if they are in stock.
Bonus stuff! I was also able to win an auction for an out of production JID dress and pick up a small batch of 'general' wardrobe item (yippee!), and snagged a cheap pair of sneaks for my 'bigfoot' zenith boy at today's Christmas meet ^^

1. order IH basic EID Luna with spare hands and geta feet ^^/faceup/blushing DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
2. order IH basic JID 'I' (almost positive on this.... she's top but there is a second choice I'm waffling on) with spare parts/blushing and custom face up. DONE (order placed June 12 ^^)
3. decide on wigs for the girls :...( choosing is so hard! (but choice is narrowed down at least). DONE (selected 3 starter styles ^^)
4. pick ONE extra outfit for EID with doll.... not 2 or 3 or..... DONE
5. organize places for incoming girls (this is actually a challenge O_o) and growing doll wardrobe (shoes take an obscene amount of space.) IN PROGRESS I keep fiddling with it as I get stuff. (June 15 note: not sure this will ever get truly done as I keep rearranging stuff -_-) August note: cats are learning not to eat the dolls and I can leave them on my dresser most of the time now ^^.
6. purchase at least ONE full outfit for EID model body (I lucked out on getting in on the 'renewal' body event... so I have the EID body but no head now ;p (added to list 07/04/13) I got lucky and found the shoes I wanted on market place ^^. Sort of done?... I have to wait for IH to restock some items.
7. Buy Iple's new 'flat' shoe selection for big gals feet!(added to list 07/04/13) Partly done, ordered one of the 3 pairs available. Have not needed other 2 styles yet.

So this makes the primary list DONE with only tweaking needed. Like the extra shoes and a more 'proper' outfit for my big man ^^. Time to think about getting my EID man?

Longer term stuff:
1. Find a camera that I can use (need to work around vision issue - this is not an easy task) DONE I think... got a camera that should allow me to use my 'large screen tablet like a remote... still need to test this out though. ^^yes DONE! works like a charm. Now waiting to see what 'classes' the store plans to offer in the new year! Also have a flicker account to house my rather alarming number of pictures lol.
2. Clean up mothers long abandon sewing corner <-- been avoiding this since she passed on ... it's hard. Progress made! large table half cleared off and can get at machines! Also located manuals! (cried when I tried to make sense of any of it ;-;). It's to a point where if they were conditioned someone who knew their stuff could work there! But I still need to have them professionally tuned up after nearly 4 years on no use...
3. get mom's sewing machines reconditioned to use - May not be needed! Test run... looks rather dusty so harsh on machine so when I can afford to get machine reconditioned!
4. make 'sundress' pattern as a test dress. ( I panic at the thought of sewing... this is huge for me).
5. Sell off some of Barbie collection (really hard to part with but I will try) AND anything else I can get rid of ^^. (started with sale of Mom's 'hospital bed)

By end of year:
1. Lay in starter selection clothes (basic elements for wardrobe) for EID man ... Done except for items Iple needs to 'restock'.
2. O_O Start saving/getting YID girls "new" outfits just available on Iple now.... "saving" is not possible for the moment after a botch job bettween my bank and Paypal wiped out my 'cash' account -_-... that and Iples 'new' selection of outfits taking some priority >< Change in game plan with new dolls/outfits coming out from IH... I only want ONE of the previous items now ^^ and several of the new ones ><

Almost to year end and on target for the most part for longer term stuff and may even be able to 'order' a new doll before year end... maybe. ^^
see begining re: ^

8. It's still 2013 and I do have plans before December 31st, so here goes:
Currently being shipped:
Nala ~ Minifee Celine

Awaiting payment:
Jasmine ~ Kid Delf Pine
Bailey ~ Littlfee Ante (wink)

The rest of my plans start in January so that's it for now! ^^

9. 1. Get my sewing machine to work so I can stop trying to figure out stitches my hands just weren't made to do.

2. Arrange a meet up myself and have it go well.

3. Successfully find a good case for my dolls that I can easily lug around and still be able to protect their face ups/stuff.

4. Get Avalon a new NEW wig...His current one is getting on my last nerve. (I finally took my scissors to it...So..Much..Easier)

5. Build my doll Vala her own little 'set' using foamboard and make it look rustic so she has her own little 'cabin'.

6. Get my mom her own BJD as a gift...I just have to find the right sculpts that appeal to her that I can afford.

7. Get Avalon his boyfriend.

10. So far in my first year, I have bought 2 dolls, traded, built up a decent collection of clothes and accessories, and did faceup

In 2014, I plan to buy a Luts tiny delf Dorothy and maybe a Dollpamm Momo, buy more clothes and accessories, and hopefully go to a doll meet QvQ

How about you? What have you done this year and what do you plan to buy and do in 2014??

And also Happy New Year!!

11. This year i have:
- Joined several BJD forums & groups and learnt more about the hobby & its community
- Chosen & ordered my first doll (DZ Annie), used her sculpt to complete the design of the female lead character in my story, and used this design to choose wigs, clothes, eyes and a custom face-up for her. ^^
- Attended BJD meets and seen resins in the flesh for the first time =D
- Made a growing list of sculpts & project plans
- Started practising using a DSLR
In 2014 i plan to:
- Recieve my first doll!!
- Record her box-opening
- Style/cut her wigs, change her eyes from the default pair and dress her for her first photoshoots
- Make patterns for the outfits i have planned for her & attempt making some basic clothes
- Make planned outfits
- Take lots of photos
- Go to LDoll Festival! and possibly buy more resin there =)
- Continue to learn about the hobby and attend meets.

12. To finish up 2013 I have got off to a roaring start in the hobby, begining with an off topic doll (a Goodreau "resin" doll I want to put onto a 'proper' body). My real bjd came in the form of a Soul Doll zenith boy (Kagel mold). He was a Limited edition of 20 fullset and now very spoiled (obscene wardrobe lol) He came as "The Marauder" and embodied the essence of my current story genre hero ^^. Then came my girls from Iplehouse, JID "I" (Jessica) & EID "Luna". Luna has half taken over Marauders closet lol and wears it as good or better than he does. Jessica is still in need of a few basics and looks but it's coming. I added an EID-M model body in an event so I had optional looks with only one head for now. An unexpected 'adoption' saw me bring home a Loong Soul Tiny; Baby White Tiger Ye... at least I didn't have to snitch him from my fellow club member like I kept threatening LOL. This was right on the heels of the start of a layaway for a second hand monster of a doll. I got lucky and found another Soul Doll; Chiron Centaur version in grey and the human head to spare; full set no less! Other than odds and ends of cloths and extras picked up here and there that was the year for me.
Technically I put in the order for my latest doll today but since the sale won't be processed until the new year I will just mention I put my Iple grail doll Dexter's order in finally today ... he was supposed to be my first doll... not this far (6+ a body and 2 floating heads) down my list ... oops :sweat. But he does have a choice of bodies now! lol. And that has been my doll year (mostly) in a nutshell. I did finish my priority list and made good work on my 'maybe' list, even a bit ahead in some things. I even got a new camera too boot and am working on learning to take photo's now... still really hesitating on the sewing thing though ;p

Now for me.... ON TO 2014.... & DEXTER!

13. Original answer (which was intended for the 2014 thread anyway... whoops XD) can be found here: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?603189-What-are-you-Doll-Plans-for-2014/page12

However, I would like to take a moment to amend this and like Lady Tiku summarize my year.

1. I got to go to the Dairyland Winter and Summer Meet, which was awesome. (As always! Meet ups are great!)

2. I tried to have a meet at a local Gardens and failed miserably. (I never considered a rain date... and the weather was bad.) However, I learned a lot from the experience. First, a small local museum is doll friendly and a lot of fun to visit! I have a tour on DL with my girl Zee. Second, I learned you need to think of EVERYTHING when making Meet plans, no matter how small. Always have a date and rain date--and then another back up plan. XD Finally, the Gardens are also doll friendly and don't be afraid to ask if a place would mind a Meet up.

3. Expect the unexpected. I had three new dolls this year: Phoebe, a SOOM fairy, Rowan, an Iplehouse KiD, and Damian, a Leekeworld Gray. Damian was the sneakiest though, I never planned on getting him but when I saw the face I just /knew/ it was him. All of these were secondhand.

4. I got into Ever After High.... /More/ dolls. XD

5. I made my first things for my dolls--two adorable hats at the Winter Meet.

6. I managed to get the first of two grail dolls from Iplehouse, a YiD Aria with peach skin and B make up.

7. Found the perfect doll for one of my new RP characters, Roary--and I am pretty sure I've convinced my former college roommate to make her a doll sized version of the 4th Doctor's scarf! :D (I just need to get supplies.)

8. Discovered just how awesome Mint on Card is /and/ Iplehouse--especially in terms of Customer Service.

9. Started to finalize the dolls I already have in terms of wigs and eyes.

10. Joined Den of Angels! :)

All in all, it's been a great year and I look forward to the New Year! (Moved my resolutions to the proper thread.)

14. I'm confused ... is this your plans for 2014? if so they belong in here -> http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?603189-What-are-you-Doll-Plans-for-2014

my last post was a summary of what I 'accomplished' in 2013 my plans are all in the new thread... where we can all track progress (or lack of LOL).

15. I feel really bad that I completely didn't catch that... What can I say? It's been a busy year. XD I'll move my answer and amend it. :)

16. not a problem and now it's where we can 'all' follow it too... I am tired and wasn't sure if you meant it to be here or not. Some of the ways you put things made it seem like it could be referring to this last year.... like I said I was tired and couldn't tell for sure... :sweat I spent a bunch of time 'revising' the Iplehouse waiting room list. Too much to go on and not enough room, so I and some others changed some of the ways to enter info to shorten entries and make more room... my mind is a bit fried LOL.. I shall see you on the new list and look forward to updates!

17. Sort of stuck to this. I bought one new Minifee, a new moe-line body for my other Minifee, and a Minifee event head but I sold a Minifee, Littlefee and a Minifee head so it sort of balances out. I didn't get an Iplehouse Lonnie but I bought plenty of new clothes and shoes.

18. haaahaa >> goal one was accomplished although two dolls (and a head) apparently turned out to be five dolls and five heads... (although to my defense, two of these heads were event gifts). That aside, I did become better at making clothes but I didn't make as many as I wanted or improved as much as I'd like. Photography is doing passably well though.

19. yay more check-ins! I like seeing if ppl managed to accomplish the lists! hope to see more 'results' entries here for a while!
