What are you Doll Plans for 2014?

1. Do not buy any new dolls this year.
2. Use the sewing machine more instead of hand sewing outfits.
3. Wipe more faces so I force myself to do more faceups.
4. Branch out by making wigs out of wool, old human wigs, and fur.
5. Design and apply tattoos to my older dolls.

 

1. Finish that wig I started long ago
2. Sew at least two sets of clothes
3. Do face-ups and tattoos
4. Get a Dollclans Vezeto head
5. Get a body for two heads
6. Possibly a new camera?
7. Make props and accessories for dolls
8. Learn to make eyes

 

My doll plans drastically changed on New Years when I got engaged, so I guess it's a good time as any to rethink the plan!
1) Finish my FP60 Mirwen layaway
2) FINALLY get a Crobidoll Ys
3) Sell off all unwanted resin and use it to buy an IH Eric (if possible)
4) Start "completing" dolls, buying wigs, eyes, clothes for those who haven't had their own in years
5) SHOES
6) Redo all faceups that need redoing
7) Get better at photography, practice more
8) Do not succumb to any limiteds

 

This is so interesting!

My goals for this year will be:

- Move into my new appartment and get a nice setup for all my dolls
inkluding; Make/buy furniture and stands
- Save up for and buy a body for my floating head
- Get my new Pukipuki sugar in tan and give her a wig, eyes and clothes (!!)
- Sew clothes for everyone that really fits their character

- Send my UH Rio för face-up (this takes ages because I don't know where to send him! Can't decide xD)
- Open up a shop for dollclothes

I'm so happy to be "back" in the hobby again after a year when my resinfriends had spent the most of their time sleeping in their boxes xD

I have been thinking about this for a little while. I am new to the hobby so I have lots to do. So here are the top five plans for my dolls in 2014:

1. Make clothes for all my dolls
2. Organize a space for my dolls
3. Learn to crochet/knit so that I can make things for my dolls
4. Meet new people in the hobby
5. Attend a BJD convention

I hope to be able to accomplish all this. So wish me good luck.

2. Finally figure out names for my Bory/f-18
3. Rework my Bory's appearance so he fits his character better

 

1- Stop freaking buying dolls. Jeez.
2- ...Buy a Williams.
3- Get eyes/ wigs/ shoes/ outfits/ UNDERWEAR for all

2. Organize my crafting area
3. Knock out MANY faceups
4. Learn to Body Blush
5. Modify Captain Hook to have wings (would love to get a hold of Monzo wings) and make him a Dragon~
6. Learn to make wigs.
7. Restring Maliaru so he isn't floopsy, perhaps learn to suede joints
8. Get doll stands!
9. Get a better display shelf area!
10. Attempt to resist any more dolls for the rest of the year -glaring at Dollzone Wendy and Dale thwarting such-

 

My doll plans for 2014 are modest I think. Not necessarily through want but because of need (why do I not have a money tree growing on my balcony or a long lost relative who wants to leave me their millions?). In no particular order....

1. Save up for and attend the doll con being put on by DoA this September (so very excited for this!).
2. Get face-up for currently blank doll, Dolf (hopefully in the next month or two *crosses fingers*).
3. Purchase Eilian (and necessary things like wig, eyes, boots/shoes, etc). If purchasing is not do-able this year, save for him diligently.
4. Purchase Rhas-Khan (and necessary things like face-up, wig, eyes, boots/shoes, etc). If purchasing is not do-able this year, save for him diligently.
5. Get new face-up for Ryzel.
6. Sew clothes for dolls that have none/only 1 outfit.
7. Be more active with my dolls (take more pictures, go to more meets, etc).
8. Try very, very hard not to add more dolls to the current resin army than the 2 listed above *falls over laughing hysterically*.

2 - re-buy my Soom Garnet hybrid
3 - Purchase a dream : A bianca grey addiction
4 - make other doll plans/buy some dolls on my wishlist^^

 

Ahhhhh where to even start? 2014 is a big doll year for me. X3

1. Finish Kon's (EID Evan) wig, and repaint him.
2. Purchase proper clothes for Yume (DD MOMO), and decide if she's keeping her default wig.
3. Take more face-up commissions than ever.
4. Practice making eyes by creating proper eyes for all our dolls who still have crappy default glass.
5. Complete the website for our new BJD shop, Bird & Lace.
6. Decide between a new Unoa or the new MNF girl. I told myself no new dolls this year except a Lati or Pukifee!
7. Purchase a new girl for my girlfriend's birthday in March.
8. Put together our shop table for conventions this year. (Ahhhhh so excited about this display!)
9. Make more wigs! It's so much fun!

 

*Sigh. I make the same ones every year, but here goes:

-No new dolls

-Move the existing collection across the atlantic once my wardrobe and desk are put together
-Get around to making all the things
-Do not over do it with making miniatures that clutter up everywhere and collect dust
-Get bodies for the other three Lati boys at least
-Finish some other more general projects
-Spend time fleshing out backstories (for fun)
-Take some pictures (for showing off)

I assumed innocently enough I would get a Soom or Iplehouse, and I surprised myself this morning by ordering a DC doll from mint on card this morning! Dream big eh?! I think that should be the motto for 2014 :-) :-) :-)

 

Hmmmm...

1. Try NOT to buy more dolls, and save that money instead to attend Dollism Plus this year ... where I will probably end up buying more dolls. Or at least lots of clothes for the ones I have. Doesn't help that a few of my favorite companies are attending as vendors. ^^;

2. Maybe sell off a few of the dolls I already own that don't get played with that much, to use that money toward the con. But so hard to let them go!

 

- Photograph my dolls more
- Sew more for boys especially
- Maybe get 1-2 Tinyfairies, 1 Shinyfairy and maybe a boy Minifee?
- Chloe Feeple 65 to replace the old shell of my character
- More shoes for all, especially for the tinies
- Maybe one or two Pocketfairies or Lati Yellows to the gang

I guess that's it.

 

Last year, I ended up buying six BJD's (one still incoming and two are offtopic), including some I've wanted for years but never thought I'd ever own. This year will probably be about expanding my collection a little more and crossing off a few from my wishlist.
Purchase plans:
-3x Mini Machinas (Juz needs sisters )
-Soom Chrom (friend is selling me hers)
-DoD Tender E-An
-DoD Homme Ducan (Him and Ducan were the first BJD's I ever wanted)
-DC Douglas
-Dikadoll Grey 70cm body (for my extra Frankenstein Head)
-A body for my spare Chai head
-A decent camera so I can take more photos

This year I'd also like to try my hand at sculpting and casting a BJD and a few accessories I want for certain characters.
On top of all that, I want to go to more meets and be more active in my local community. I lurked the hobby for so long it hurt >_<

 

-Get at least 2 dolls from my wish list
-Get MSD F-20 before Volks USA store closes
-Be able to buy the clothes I like
-Buy more eyes and less wigs!!!
