What are you Doll Plans for 2014?

puglynne My plan for 2014. Unhappily I must sell my doll collection. I love all of them and it will break my heart, but we cannot live on Social Security only. Our savings will be depleted in another year or so. In the beginning of the year I will start listing my girls. Mostly IplehouseBID's and Fairyland. Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving and Christmas. puglynne (I need a puddle of tears at this point)

 

Work on the two new dolls coming in - clothes, eyes and face-ups.
Work on finding a place to put them since they're sitting on my couch atm
Start learning how to sew
Get two new dolls - maybe: Doll Chateau Alma (but I just like the body >.<) and maybe JID I

 

Get my first doll! ^_^ I want a Volks Nana.
Buy her a cute Lolita outfit
Buy her some pretty glass eyes
Buy her one of those doll laptops or cameras
Buy her a new pink wig
Put on eyelashes or attempt a faceup
Save money to buy her more things &#10036;&#65038;

 

2014 will likely be an expensive year for me! lol. My Breccia will hopefully be home in late feburary or early march! So...

1- Start designing/sewing for my first doll!
2- Learn to paint Face-ups! Or at least play a little before someone to do it for me...
3- Invest in a good digital camera... my current one is so old is doesn't take clear pics any more
4- Hold out for a SOOM free choice boy event... I'm in love with a particular sculpt for a character. The goal here is not to settle for any other face.
5- Finish my Breccia's character's story.
6- Make some fun doll props. Like hand bond books, and furniture! If I get good I'll make some tutorials or sell on the marketplace.

I think that's the most for planning... I'll do some photos too, but that's a given lol.

 

I have been tempted for a week to start this thread, but I was not sure if it was too early yet.

1. Get my grey skin Dikadoll Rena. (Saving for her has gone HORRIBLY! Every time I get a bit saved up I end up finding something else to get. Though now she has an outfit ....if my Ttori will give it back..., a wig, and two pairs of eyes!)
2. Get one of the cool OT bjd cats that I have been wanting so badly. (Looks like this one will be pushed back unless I can make some serious high dollar sales on ebay)
3. Get either a Delf or F-doll body so my two boys will no longer have to share. DONE!!
4. (added 8/20) Find a default Skoll outfit for my new boy.


I am officially giving up on the first two (unless I fall into a big pile of money). New Soom doll is taking all my money... seems that always happens. I guess there is always 2015, right?

 

For 2014 for me and true story here we go.

1)Get my package i order pack of elastic round cord to restring.
2)Get the hook for restringing.
3)Keep making doll clothes/get more fabric.
4)Keep saving money.
5)Buy doll bag from volks or any doll bag carrier.
6)NO NONO more dolls buying just keep 2 of them i have females and a floating doll head will soon be mod the neck hole of my asleep eledon head xun so yea wish me luck Modds/take pics to see how to mod it right.
7)Maybe camera i dunno i use my sister old Itouch camera works for me lol.
8)And doll shoes.
9)FACE-UP WOOO FORGOT HEHEH (clumsy me :P)
10)Tattoos.

 

Wish you best thanksgiving and i bet each of those dolls u cherish has a lot of love for you being a generous owner you are. I would be too if i have to sell my doll i only have 2 of them (sometimes is addictive to have more but when it comes to real life situation is worth to sacrifice for the better.

Once I get my RS Mei next month, these shall be my plans for 2014!

1. Get my butt to a doll meet, I'm dying to go to one of these
2. Learn how to sew! I need to start making outfits for my new girl!
3. Save up for a new pro camera so I can take proper photos.
4. Save up money to get RS Song as a companion for Mei
5. Make clothes for Song (hopefully I'll be able to sew by now)
6. After RS Song arrives I plan to save up (probably for a long time) to get my first Iplehouse doll EID Ashanti, dying to get my hands on an Iplehouse doll!

 

I tell you once u get the iplehouse doll is the holy grail and good resin is thick also and so worth it i order it b4 it increase the price so i got myself the limited edition. And is EID head which is perfect so is big than smaller head size lol. And i couldn't ask for more so i already buy wigs and multiple eyes and putty so i can stick them on (i buy it in the alice collections) great service and glad i have hair and bunch of eyes (variety) so i can play with yayay.But many many wish of luck you gonna have fun i sure of it lol.

 

For 2014 my (tentative, which probably means they will change completely as early as tomorrow....) plans are:

Wolveriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnneeeeeeee! As a doll. I have his head already (or I will tomorrow), and I would like to get the body now, but Iz broke. So I have to save, thus it will probably be 2014 before he's done.

Other than his body I have two floating heads that need bodies that I would like to get.

I have this thing where I started remaking my OC's as Minis. I have one more I wanted to shell as a Peakswoods FOB.

My OC Marcus needs a new shell. I didn't like either of the ones he had and now he's gone. He is my last character, so it's got to be good.

I would possibly like to make Storm and/or Jubilee into dolls. We'll see if that happens, because after the heads have bodies and Marcus is finished, I may not get anymore....I would like to not get anymore...

Then there is the usual: Work on/finish dolls I already have. I would like to get their wardrobes completed, or started in some cases.

I need to reorganize my doll area. I've run out of room.

I would maybe like to sell some more? I don't know if this will actually happen or not...

- Get some bodies home
- More clothes, shoes, wigs and eyes
- Buy Annabelle
- Take a break from buying dolls

 

I've started my 2014 goals a bit early. >.> Here's the list.

1. Buy my first sd, a Migidoll Cho. Already did this, Opps
2. Purchase a Migidoll Ryu head and a Popodoll 68 body
3. Purchase a body for my Minifee Woosoo head. I want her on a Moe body with a small bust but will probably end up getting her an A-line body with cutie legs and small bust.
4. Find a sculpt for my character Kei. Thinking about Withdoll Juwel..in tan skin.
5. Spoil everyone with everything. Shoes, clothes, wigs, eyes, props and whatever they demand.

 

This topic's great because 2014 was my target year for owning my first BJD (it still is, but I went ahead and bought my first boy. alas! he is currently but a head)

- buy a body for Honey (the aforementioned head)
- complete him (clothes, eyes, face up and all)

It's not much but with my current salary (and the other things I'm saving up for), this makes for a good goal to work towards.

I don't know why I make plans, as they always go awry! Mainly, I want to focus less on buying/collecting and more on the crafty side of the hobby!

1. Still, I'd like to get a Kid Delf Ani and maybe a Volks Mire (unless another Volks MSD catches my eye).
2. Dolly Spa for some of my kids--taking apart, cleaning, restringing if necessary
3. Like to try my hand at sanding seams, it can't be too difficult, can it?
4. Finally get my sewing area set up
5. Design/sew some outfits, improving as I go
6. Work more on my photography, work out how to get better lighting
7. Send out a few dolls for face-ups

 

I really just want to buy my first SD, learn how to properly do faceups, and learn how to sew cute clothing for my BJDs

* Work on some clothing patterns
* Work on some actual clothing
* Do faceup/blushing/mod work on Jace (WD Kyle)
* Do blushing/mod work on Edward (MNF A-Line body)
* Finish Cetewind (RS Bei)

Hopeful
* Finish Instar (RS Bao)
* Do faceup/blushing/mod work on the incoming LTF Horde
* Get Ed's new head and get that blushed
* Order the remaining LTF Horde, or another bigger doll

Long Shot
* Finally find a couple of (moderately affordable) 50 cm-ish bodies for my cat girls.

 

I just got started with next year's plans. 2014 will be my last doll purchasing year. I'll let loose in 2014 and try to finish getting the dolls I want but after the year is done I won't be buying any more resin and will devote my time to whatever dolls I have after the year's end. That being said here's what I'll try to get done.

-Create two hybrids dolls with the Dollzone Mr. Bunny and Miss Kitty heads I'm currently in the process of ordering.
-Finish building my bipedal DC Ada I have planned. I have the belly piece just need the rest of the parts.
-Create a stop animation using at least one of my dolls if not all.
-Figure out how to make amazing doll clothes and accessories.
-Be more active in the local doll community

 

My DZ Tulip will be arriving early in '14, so I'll have to work on stuff for her (faceup, outfits, etc.). I also plan on getting a body for my floating head and working on stuff for her as well. Naturally, this assumes that no discontinuations happen for the other dolls I'm eyeing, of course...!

 

Well other than waiting for my seven dolls to come in I suppose there is sorting out things like clothes, I really hate making clothes like jeans and t-shirts for dolls I don't own because even with the measurements they don't fit as well as they would with the doll by my side.

So yeah at least one full outfit for every season per doll.
Accessories and props for the dolls.
I'm going to do a face up for the first time on the blank head I have coming in (his body is coming separately).
Probably re-do the face up until it doesn't look like a bum for a face.
Do more photo shoots, I have an alcove that is perfect for doll photo shoots so I'm going to practice my photography.
Get a freaking job so I can pay for doll stuff. (Not my only reason for getting a job but I've been out of uni way too long and the lack of job really hampers my doll plans)
Be more active in the doll community, I'd like to do a youtube BJD Addicts prompt but I'm shy about my teeth (long story) and know that people on the internet can be cruel.
