    1. 07/08 UPDATE!!! - OMG >< My main overall goal? Survive (financially) IH's Carved Heritage series! I got my loan from an uncle so I was able to replace my computer & have left over to help with IH's CH series. I will be ordering SID Edan full set. That being said my last outstanding order of related outfits has shipped and I have managed to get in on relevant splits for Leonard (full set x2) and for Pamela (weapons only) also. The doll and outfit just didn't do it for me (:sweatthank heavens for small mercies). I am more or less ready for the next series doll release ^^.

      Okay, my actual plans for the year!

      1. Learn to restring! Awkward attempt and Jessica's head is a tad tight now but the 'learning' has begun
      2. Buy proper tools to restring. <- have Jessica's new string. will get tools at doll show in fall.^^
      3. Pay off my Chiron centaur and bring him home! DONE!
      4. Send his and the human head I also snagged this year 'back' to Soul Doll to get matched face ups (Amending: Keeping Centaur face up... I like it ^^.) Not happening... too much other stuff needs money first
      5. Buy camera accessories (namely a tripod and light reflectors).On hold until Carved Heritage is done or I get past enough releases to have spare money ><
      6. BRING HOME IH DEXTER! DONE!! ^^ arrived home May 6th
      7. Find safe place for Soul Doll Chiron centaur to live O_o. (may require a case?) On hold untill I can restring him so he stands free.
      8. Get IH nYID... - ordered Bliss ("Carved Heritage".) full set DONE - PIF as of 06/01 with 'some' of the hunter outfits that were in stock. Now I wait till she ships! ^^
      9. Get Enyu's 'house' out of storage and set it up (got a ton of stuff to put in already) -> Down and half cleaned
      10. Try and get Iple's newest outfits before they disappear! (the "Hunter Collection") also the stuff with the new theme sets (The Lady Collection) - important items aquired! only second choice line items left from Hunter AND Ladies Collection!
      11. Try out a couple of doll stands for BIG dolls (stop being paranoid about wasting the money ><) Angel Soul and Loong Soul look like good candidates Only if I am lucky?
      12. Get RE-reading E.B.'s books so I can plot out character descriptions and decided costume details (not just 'the black dress' LOL). - Done primary books! now I can work on specific 'design details for when I can get a commission done! ^^
      13. Find out where to commission Enyu's clothes! - Done - I have plenty to work with with Ken doll stuff. I may in future obtain spare to 'cut down'. Commission work not required ^^
      14. A Doll A Day photo challenge. (June) This for me is one I will have to work at to get all 30 as I am struggling with my blood pressure/migraines/stress right now and can loose a day or more when it gets dangerous -_-. I almost missed today (day 2 ><). I hope this will help with my camera skills? DONE! I actually stuck it out and completed it successfully! ^^

      Ongoing projects.
      1. Sort and tidy up doll wardrobe... ongoing process ><. But needing new 'game plan' of where to put stuff. - new decorative cases bought!
      2. Get sewing corner 'usable'. - tested machine decided it needs recondition before any 'real' sewing projects (will still try 'test' sewing on scraps?) - Done for now. It's minor-ly usable at least
      3a. Try out sundress 'test' pattern. - Skipping for the time being
      3b. See if 'in home lessons' are possible? Not this year lol

      PIPE-DREAMS! - for when I win a lotto or???
      *depending on what shows up this new theme set could force the core doll set to come home faster and earlier than planned - definitely

    5. Well, I kind of fell off the wagon for a while, so I don't have much in the way of plans. I think, though, that I am going to try and save up for my dreaming Abadon's body, hopefully saving enough to buy that, a pair of pants, and shoes from Luts.

      So that's my plan: save money.

    6. I am afraid my plans are very small compared to many other members. I just hope to get enough money together to get my first doll. I don't know her name or who makes her. I just have a photo of her. I was going to put her photo on, but it is only on my desktop and apparently I have to give the URL for it.

    8. I recommend Flickr... Pbucket does not hold much for free.... I have less than 2% of my Flickr used.... and have over 1500 pics so far O_o the bucket is a joke by comparison.... even if you have to create a Yahoo account... it's worth it for the volume of pics alone.

      4. Buy a DDS body (for my possible new DD, if her head decides to show up in the mail)
      5. Buy a wig brush from Volks to help style wigs
      6. Find wig for DDS
      7. Buy clothes, accessories, etc. for DDS
      8. Send DDS's head to face-up artist
      9. Maybe buy a Youmu Konpaku head to be my first DD male project

      That's probably all I will be able to get to do for the rest of this year, that is, if finances start to smooth out and whatnot. (:

    15. 7 months into the year and I finally, finally, FINALLY got my first doll! I have to make some new plans now that things are moving along :)

      1. bring Katsu home! (Luts Delf Lu-Wen)
      2. get a body for Kai (ringdoll Pan)
      3. bring Haru home! (B&G Sunny/Sandra)
      4. work on my sewing skills
      5. attempt doing my own faceups
      6. go to some doll meet ups!
      7. start saving up for Asaph! (DC Ingemar)

      Those are my new plans! I've only got 5 months left, but I think I can start to work on some of these goals!

    17. And another progress update!

      #1 Find alternative materials for eye-making. The smaller sizes look perfect with the materials I have, but the larger (12mm+) ones still have some room for improvement. --- Made a bunch - and mislaid them during the move. I'm hoping they'll turn up, Katie really needs her proper eyes.

      #2 Make more wigs. Maybe use some different materials / techniques here as well. --- Another batch of Suri on order, I'll try Suri and liquid latex next.

      #2b. In the process of #2, get better at making wigs. --- No news.

      #3 Learn moar crafts! And work on the ones I picked up this year. (More specifically, polymer clay stuffs and the like ... also, furniture.) --- Discovered paper as a resource. MyFroggyStuff tutorials will do that to you :)

      #4 Continued from this year's plans - get as many of the main crew home as possible. --- All ordered resinoids home! Still missing one head, one custom colour body, and up to three guys, only two of which have decided on sculpts.

      #5 Now that my doll sewing has improved a bit, maybe really make some clothes for sale ... if I dare. :sweat --- Aaaand ... still nothing. In my defense, I didn't even have time to sew for my own dolls, let alone stuff for sale :sigh

    18. Well, better late than never, eh? :D

      These are in no particular order!

      1) Get my CP Chiwoo revamped/restrung etc. he has been unloved for too long and he was my first doll back in 2005. Work in his character.

      2) in relation to above point - overhaul all current dolls (backgrounds, names, stories) They need to fit in with incoming dolls and stories.

      3) Finish female to male mod on my incoming DZ 1/4 Mo tan. Involves face mask, dremel and sandpaper.

      4) Get hold of said ultra fine sandpaper - research which type.

      5) Make sure all my dolls have the right eyes and wigs for their 'default'. All my dolls have always felt incomplete as I've never had a set style for them. I intend to rectify this within the year.

      6) Make sure all incoming dolls have at least one default outfit. And underwear for everyone! XD

      7) Practise faceups! I have all the supplies and I have willing victims mwahahaha!

      8) Final goal (and the largest ><) save for the unoa preorder!

      Phew! Lots of modding, saving and writing ahead!

    19. Well TBH most of my doll plans for this year were kind of thwarted by a lack of money (for the ones I wanted to acquire) and lack of time (for the stuff I wanted to make).

      However, it has honestly been a great doll year anyway as I ended up joining the local community here (I only moved her last year), and met a big pile of lovely fun people who frankly make the hobby equally more enjoyable than by getting new dolls.

      If I can just manage to get a head for this one new guy, I will be the happiest camper.


      [edit] Heyyy and that was my 100th post :'3 Appropriate for a milestone post, I'd say.
