    1. I started in April, my last update was in June, so time for another one!

      1. Attend a meet - Done! I attended an NYC meet later that month
      2. Get my first bjd - Done! I got dreaming doll misora in May
      3. Make some clothes - Done! I've made underwear, a t-shirt, a shirt, tights, jeans, a denim skirt and a fairy kei outfit for the sewing project. I've sewn a while bunch of things now.
      4. Buy some clothes - Done! I bought some jeans from nine 9 style
      5. Get a new sewing machine - still no sewing machine!
      6. Take photos outside in the sunshine (my apartment is so dark!) Done! I took my doll on a picnic and to a meet.
      7. Paint some furniture
      8. Make a 1:4 size bag
      9. Make more clothes!
      10. Take more outdoor photos
      11. Get a chair

      Doll-related goals for 2014:

      1. Find the perfect sculpt for Shiaki. | [Done! He will be a Switch Ajeong Closer Ver.]
      2. Start planning Kinata. | [Done! Her wishlist, profile and personality are complete.]
      3. Get clothing, wigs, and accessories for Kinata. | In progress. I have two kimono on the way, but I still need geta, socks, wigs, suitable kanzashi and her katana. Yeesh.
      4. Get Shiaki his body. | Not doable this year.
      5. Find the perfect sculpt for Kinata. | [Done! She will be a Volks FCS MSD F-37.]
      6. Bring Kinata home! | In progress. Will probably not finish in 2014. Current savings: $100/$600

    4. I'm already into 2015 haha.

      Something I never thought I'd do this year is purchase heads ... but I have ... two of them. So this year, I'm awaiting their arrival. One will be 'faceup'd' this year, the other I'd say next year, depending on when she arrives.

      Plans for 2015.
      Two mnf bodies.
      NO MORE DOLLS, OR HEADS! .... maybe .... :roll:
      Purchase clothes, wigs, additional eyes, and complete the dolls I have.
      Buy a camera and a sewing machine.

    5. Have yet another update ;)

      #1 Find alternative materials for eye-making. The smaller sizes look perfect with the materials I have, but the larger (12mm+) ones still have some room for improvement. --- Haven't tried anything new since the last update, but found a way to make the finish look better with the materials I have. Pretty happy with how it's playing out. :)

      #2 Make more wigs. Maybe use some different materials / techniques here as well. --- Suri and liquid latex test run complete and I love it! Looks like I've found my favorite materials.

      #2b. In the process of #2, get better at making wigs. --- In progress! I really like the last one.

      #3 Learn moar crafts! And work on the ones I picked up this year. (More specifically, polymer clay stuffs and the like ... also, furniture.) --- One polymer clay project turned out rather nice (I was making eye bases and had leftover clay and decided to try some more mini foods). I also got my hands on some coloured paper for the Froggy tutorials, but haven't used that yet.

      #4 Continued from this year's plans - get as many of the main crew home as possible. --- I may have accidentally snatched a long-time favorite head off the MP. :sweat She's technically not a member of the main crew (unless she decides to fill a still-open post) but she was such a lucky find I couldn't pass her by. And she is story-relevant, so I guess she counts. ;)

      #5 Now that my doll sewing has improved a bit, maybe really make some clothes for sale ... if I dare. :sweat --- Nope ... nope nope nope. Not good enough.

    6. My update so far..

      - Move into my new appartment and get a nice setup for all my dolls
      inkluding; Make/buy furniture and stands - Less place then expected, they have their place but it's small.. Have done a Throne for my king and have plans for more furniture though.
      - Save up for and buy a body for my floating head - Got a body, in wrong color.. Send it back and bouht an other doll for the money xD
      - Get my new Pukipuki sugar in tan and give her a wig, eyes and clothes (!!) - Sold her ><
      - Sew clothes for everyone that really fits their character - not done but almost!

      - Send my UH Rio för face-up (this takes ages because I don't know where to send him! Can't decide xD) - He's been living at my friends house the last 6m.. I'll send him away when he gets home again
      - Open up a shop for dollclothes - No, this won't happen this year.

      + Bought a new doll and a faceplate

      I'm not very good at keeping goals. ;)

    7. plans right now for me

      - Doll meet sometime August or September. hopefully
      - Finish a faceup and get a body blushing done
      - Possibly get set up a room for my dolls (assuming I can find someplace with space - SDs are big)
      - Finally, finally get ordered my grail ... just have to figure out body type and skin colour. and find someone who's willing to do heavy body mods. maybe.

    12. Kind of joining this post late but I guess right now for the last few months of the year I still want to

      - Arrange a Leeds doll meet (working on it)
      - Learn to sew (talking very basic here&#8230;never sewn before)
      - Learn to re-string and other basic doll care (put in my first set of eyes, and changed eyelashes once already)
      - Research how to do face-ups
      - Buy face up tools so I am ready for next summer to get started
      - Get two blank heads to practice face ups on

      Think that should be about it. lol

    13. 08/28 UPDATE!!! - OMG >< My main overall goal? Survive (financially) IH's Carved Heritage series! I got my loan from an uncle so I was able to replace my computer & have left over to help with IH's CH series. Edan has been ordered & Bliss is home!
      Bypassed Harace and will get her Turkish outfit when it enters regular stock! Passing on Law but am working on finding splits for his UNIFORM and weapons ^^ :sweatTrying to not need a doll for this stuff lol.

      Okay, my actual plans for the year!

      1. Learn to restring! Awkward attempt and Jessica's head is a tad tight now but the 'learning' has begun
      2. Buy proper tools to restring. <- have Jessica's new string. will get tools at doll show in fall.^^
      3. Pay off my Chiron centaur and bring him home! DONE!
      4. Send his and the human head I also snagged this year 'back' to Soul Doll to get matched face ups (Amending: Keeping Centaur face up... I like it ^^.) Not happening... too much other stuff needs money first
      5. Buy camera accessories (namely a tripod and light reflectors).On hold until Carved Heritage is done or I get past enough releases to have spare money ><
      6. BRING HOME IH DEXTER! DONE!! ^^ arrived home May 6th
      7. Find safe place for Soul Doll Chiron centaur to live O_o. (may require a case?) On hold untill I can restring him so he stands free.
      8. Get IH nYID... Bliss ("Carved Heritage".) full setDONE - home as of 07/21 with 'some' of the hunter outfits
      9. Get Enyu's 'house' out of storage and set it up (got a ton of stuff to put in already) -> On hold
      10. Try and get Iple's newest outfits before they disappear! (the "Hunter Collection") also the stuff with the new theme sets (The Lady Collection) - important items aquired! only second choice line items left from Hunter AND Ladies Collectione New set as of 08/06 "The Misty Collection" -there are a few I need, a couple I want bad.. and some that would be nice to have but... ;p
      11. Try out a couple of doll stands for BIG dolls (stop being paranoid about wasting the money ><) Angel Soul and Loong Soul look like good candidates Only if I am lucky?
      12. Get RE-reading E.B.'s books so I can plot out character descriptions and decided costume details (not just 'the black dress' LOL). - Done primary books! now I can work on specific 'design details for when I can get a commission done! ^^
      13. Find out where to commission Enyu's clothes! - Done - I have plenty to work with with Ken doll stuff. I may in future obtain spare to 'cut down'. Commission work not required ^^
      14. A Doll A Day photo challenge. (June) This for me is one I will have to work at to get all 30 as I am struggling with my blood pressure/migraines/stress right now and can loose a day or more when it gets dangerous -_-. I almost missed today (day 2 ><). I hope this will help with my camera skills? DONE! I actually stuck it out and completed it successfully! ^^

      Ongoing projects.
      1. Sort and tidy up doll wardrobe... ongoing process ><. But needing new 'game plan' of where to put stuff. - new decorative cases bought! Continual WIP as new stuff is aquired but it is working out well!
      2. Get sewing corner 'usable'. - tested machine decided it needs recondition before any 'real' sewing projects (will still try 'test' sewing on scraps?) - Done for now. It's minor-ly usable at least (even fixed my pillows!)
      3a. Try out sundress 'test' pattern. - maybe in 2016???
      3b. See if 'in home lessons' are possible? Never ... could not afford it.

      PIPE-DREAMS! - for when I win a lotto or???
      *depending on what shows up this new theme set could force the core doll set to come home faster and earlier than planned - definitely
      1. 2nd & 3rd full nYID girls (the Langley girls) not until after IH's CH series is done.
      2. SID woman (Grace?)
      3. 2nd EID man OR a SID maybe? unfortunately looking more than possible >< ordered SID Edan!
      ^ These 3 may be more likely because of the IH current series. This may be the year I fill out my main doll set :sweat

    15. I hope to get a companion girl doll for my boy doll. My plan is to dress her in same color hanbok as my organza hanbok and take her to company events, especially the diversity events. My real plan is to get court hanbok along with kimono and have my girl doll to dress the same, but that may take some time.

    17. For me, my plans are:

      1. Trade or sell my KDF Ani head for either a KDF Nana or Kiwi head.
      2. Save up enough money to buy a KDF (Nana if I don't find a head).
      3. Find my MSC&#8230; it's somewhere in the house&#8230; I think.
      4. Learn how to properly restring a doll without freaking out.
      5. Get some fairy kei themed clothes for my doll!

    18. My last update for this thread was around X-mas 2013...so much as happened then.

      1) paying off for whatever doll I get during the Christmas Event - did that
      2) give my dolls earring holes - got around that by buying stick ons
      3) find a good place to do my photo shoots - got a nice clothes hanger to hang up backdrops
      4) borrow my dad's camera and figure how it works - fail, the camera sucks
      5) restring my EID beast (I think he's lose) - yep, did that when I sueded him
      6) sign up for sewing class so I can make stuff for my dolls instead of buying buying buying
      7) be happy with what I have - couldn't be further from the truth, ended up getting 2 heads, put 2 dolls on layaway, and deciding on 2 more. Also spent an insane amount on clothes and accessories.

      8) pay off layaway on the 2 dolls
      9) try to scrunge up funds for the 2 more I want
      10) be good and spend no more money till Xmas
      11) wait patiently for the 4 packages that are coming

    19. Plans change and evolve but for now:

      1) Continue working on "Who is Alice?" detailed photo shoot, have most outfits only need like 2-3 more. Need: Long table, chairs and more "tea party" accessories... one more backdrop.

      2) IH Stella and a new IH boy (Carved Heritage Leonard) done and on their way home. FL FM60 Tan Chloe, FL FM60 NS Celine on layaway, 2 more Volks boys

      3) Face ups, face ups, face ups... many resin kids need a "refresh" button to push.

      4) Grail dolls; only have like three left... 8 done.

      5) Sewing machine; done.

      6) SD sized living space - this has been a project for 3 years now and still ongoing

      7) Some specific backdrops for photography shoots

      8) Camera - probably 2015 - have not found the right one yet

      9) "My Shinku" project (2 years now) Volks Luna (done) and more character development work on her - 1/2 done

      10) Sew more, learn re-stringing, better photography skills

    20. I have more doll plans than ever this year... I wish I also had all the necessary funds to afford them ^^" after years in the hobby, being surrounded by more and more beautiful (and expensive) things, saving can become very frustrating! Since it is almost September already, everything is pretty much set - what is still possible to do, and what isn't...

      What I will probably be able to complete until the end of the year:

      • getting new faceups for three of my dolls (almost completed, thanks to a very talented and sweet faceup artist ^^)
      •finding a body for my dark elf Millicent, who is just a floating head at the moment (in the process of buying said body right now, finally!)
      •finding someone to give Millicent's head a nice dark color, to match her (future) body color, and a nice faceup too (it just so happens that the "perfect head sculpt" only came in "white" and "normal" resin colors T3T hopefully I will find someone until the end of the year to paint her for me)
      •expanding my dolls' closet, giving them more casual clothes instead of just super ellaborated outfits (will write to a talented seamstress today! Importing anything has been getting more and more complicated as of late, so I'll try to keep things local whenever it is possible...)
      •attending more doll meets (attended my first meet about two months ago, and loved it!)
      •getting identical twins, Bluebell and Bellamy (I'm torn between two sculpts at the moment, and they are unpopular sculpts, so... Owner pictures are rare for one sculpt, and basically unexistant for the other)
      •getting a mature tiny (already chosen the one that I will get... My love for j-dolls left me wanting cute smaller bjds!)
      •sell the doll stuff that I don't use (one doll sold, as well as three wigs, all my unwanted eyes, shoes, and almost all my msd-sized dresses. Many other things to go!)

      What will surely remain unfulfilled until next year...:

      •learn how to sew. This has been a plan for years... I want to make clothes for my dolls. But it's like time is a rare commodity now, so I can't dedicate myself to learning new things at the moment :(
      •take nice pictures and make portraits of my current dolls, after they are finished. No time...
      •train faceups. No time~

      Hopefully I will be able to complete most of them until the end of the year.
