What are you Doll Plans for 2014?

OOOH I love these!

I've already done a lot this year (ordered my doll, bought her wigs/clothes, made her a wig, and made a bunch of stuff for her) but I'd like to:

Be able to purchase a M-line BW MNF Celine by the time my birthday comes around in December (totally possible, just have to diligently save!), buy another lens for photos, make a better quality lightbox, and have full commission slots for the remainder of the year!

 

Weeeelll... Some of my 2014 plans got determined literally within the last two days, when I suddenly plunged to buy a tiny I just discovered, whose order period was up today.

So... I guess, first order of business is

1. Face-up, hair, clothes and shoes for her (collecting eyes finally gave me an advantage because I'm sure I have at least one pair that would satisfactorily suit her for the time being). At least some in-character clothing if I don't feel up for making her space-suit. <-- Tiny bought, arrived, and already sold. She was cute, but I didn't end up doing anything with her.

2. Make Peppermint some new, in-character clothes. Poor boy's been having to make do with a "close enough" for far too long. <-- Ahaha I already said I was going to do this? .... I really should. Well, at least I finally found and bought proper eyes for him, as they were intended to be all those years ago.

3. Buy that sunlight Volks Elena, or whichever sculpt comes up between now and $1000 saved in doll money that more closely resembles my character. Once again, I already got eyes for her, but she'll need all of the same as the little one before her. <-- Nope, changed my mind. The doll in question now is a Peakswoods Lottie in tan, and, well... that particular combination isn't available.

And in fantasy land where Iplehouse makes that amazonian body for the EID women, I think I'll have to get me one (or two) of those... <-- Well these dreams have sort of been slashed :/

New plans for the remainder of 2014!

4. Finish research for my manuscript and sell current doll... so that I can buy a tan Supia Rosy! I've wanted her since my early days in the hobby, and now she finally has a character! I've already pre-ordered her wig and eyes (couldn't be helped, pre-order was closing), now I just need to get her (will probably do it for my birthday). I will probably be finishing everything else for her in 2015 (well, 2015 is definitely when her eyes will be here anyways...).

5. Start learning how to make armour pieces and other sculpted wearable items. Anka (the Rosy) will definitely need some of those, as will pretty much all of the other dolls.

 

Well, the year is over half over, and my plans for the rest include;

- several of my dolls still need special outfits of their own, and I probably won't get to them all, but even getting one done would be nice. There's a warrior elf costume with lots of chain mail I'd like to make for one of my dolls, and some very elaborate 18th century court costumes for two others. And I'd love to make a set of 'Christmas Pageant' costumes for all my tinies. And some butterfly fairies. Well, I'm obviously not going to get even a fraction of all those done this year, so this list will probably just get bumped over to 2015.

- I'm trying to be good and not order a lot of new dolls, but focus instead on the ones I already own. I've only acquired four new dolls this year - two of which were previously-loved - and one was a frog, so does he even count?

- I need to make some contemporary clothes for the dolls I plan to take on a fall road trip to the US Rockies and the Albuquerque Balloon Festival. I'm hoping for some great doll photo opportunities.

 

My goals for the rest of 2014 include:
Make clothing for my dolls who are currently either wearing sock dresses or are naked.
Buy my Vampire Shiwoo a wig.
Send at least one of my blank dolls off for a faceup.

 

Half of the year is gone so I thought I'd give some updates~ uwu

• &#10003; Start and finish Rin's (Crobidoll Tei's) layaway Ordered without layaway
• &#8226; Save up and pay off my DD Miku Obitsu 50 Luna~ Reshelled the character, therefore shift.
• &#10003; Spoil my lovelies with much needed clothes! (some progress has been made)
• &#10008; Get Aoya (Unoa Sist) his eyes and -potentially- body sold the poor boy ): Looking to bring him back in the future though.
• &#10003; Practice photography harder! (And still am!)

More goals~

• Practice more photography
• Buy a sleeping mnf Ante head to mod.
• Order Dollheart Fukubukuros for my dollies for Christmas!
• Get that makoeyes order done
• Practice more photography
• Sand Lavi's body to match her head because it's so yellowed... @_@
• Restring and wire everyone who needs it

 

Update:
Finished the layaway and waiting for him to be shipped.
Finalising my purchase of Yves' head (Switch Huisa) off the marketplace.

To-do:
Practise photographing my boys when they arrive.
May send Yves off for a face-up: decide when and whom.
Wigs and clothing for Yves + more for Alain (Roderich).
Shoes for both.
Start saving for HD60 body.
Attend this year's Singapore Doll Carnival!

I expect no more dolls for this year.

 

Im planning to get my frst doll and buy her/him this year and be an official doll owner

 

I'll try not to buy any new dolls but to focuse on all of my older ones. They need clothes, shoes and wigs, and I need a lot of money for this. =)

 

Get another Secretdoll Person to add to my two ... deciding whether to order a "stock" 21 or wait for the next special edition ones!

 

I am hoping for a Dandelion from Bimong....

 

For starters: actually RECIEVING MY DOLLS WOULD BE NICE. But other than that just making sure that everyone who is in has a faceup, eyes, and a wig at least. Maybe making some fancy loincloths for my incoming bory and a couple of nice resting cushions for the floating heads until they get bodies

8. taking Ren to Thailand for his 1 year old celebration ^^ --> CANCELED : It ends that my luggage will be so heavy and big and temperature there where I'm going to go, is much higher than I thought... so I can't take him with me, too dangerous.

I've finally completed my doll collection! 12 dolls! What I'm still left, is to wait for dolls coming.
A.) IH JID Asa is still on waiting list. I may get her in the end of this month or maybe in October.
B.) Volks body which I bought from the market place here is already shipped out. So it will be here also in the end of this month --> My body-less Okita-kun will get his body soon!! Yuppy!
C.) I sent my Event free DH-A Fox from Alice's Collection for a face up. Now waiting for his return.
D.) SDF Event 14 head which I sent to the face up artist is finally finished. He will be sent back to me soon.
E.) My last doll and second wish doll I ever have, Mr. Lacrimosa!... I've ordered him together with his wig directly from IOS this time. From what I've read, we will be shipped after 60 days. I'm so excited. But...wait! I have to buy or sew his clothing, if I don't want him be naked all the time!

My main goal for 2014 is to get my first doll and get her dressed up and such. Not particularly ambitious as the rest of these posts. Maybe by the end of the year I can get my second doll.

 

I didn't have any dolls plans originally but then I finished a long shift at work and wanted to reward myself. Now the Tiny bug has bit me so I'm pondering getting a second Tiny at Christmas.

 

-Hoping to get a Tsunenaga Hasekura head by this year
-Finish up my layaway
-No more new dolls except those on my wishlist
-Finish faceupping the heads that I wanted to sell away, there are still a couple more 2-3 of them

 

1. Finish paying off my Luts Centaur. (hope to do that really before dec 31st but not likely) I did and he showed up the first week in January not to long after.
2. Sell a few dolls that I have for sale. All the dolls and parts I had for sale this year I did sell/Trade
3. Get into doll north again. I did and it was a really successful year!
4. buy second baby imp doll so I can have two one goat one human. I did get a second one but not one for the Goat legs I got my Teno a Brother Named Simon.
5. grow my doll doctor business. It has grown alot since last year.
6. have more money for dolls, lol. I have been buying more dolls with my money and finding ways to afford them and not always doing Layaway with them if that counts.

Not much of a list but I did manage to make my goals for the year now I have to get working on a list of goals for the next year. This was a awesome Thread I am glad it was started and look forward to next years.

 

Still hoping to find that special mature MSD girl. So far, Rachel from Withdoll is in the lead.

7. Buy a pair of shoes for Lilith, some eyes for Guen and Henry, and maybe some fabric for clothes -on hold Getting Makos for Henry
8. Buy my Iplehouse Douglas! -ARRIVED!
9. Buy the Iplehouse Demon Hunter set, two pair of boots, & wig (getting wig later) -DONE! ARRIVED!
10. Buy the Iplehouse Witch Hunter set if it ever comes back in stock.... RECEIVED!
11. Have fun learning how to make my own BJD
12. Maybe finally paint my Doll Leaves Cat tiny...
13. MAYBE buy my Resinsoul minis that I wanted to get over a year ago.... XD not happening this year :/
14. Start saving for a minifee.... or two... or three... or seven XD will have to wait another year or two
15. Buy a camera so I can take pictures not happening this year :/
