What are you Doll Plans for 2014?

- Get more outfit for my msd and yosd girls
- Get the sculpts I like
- Advance at using my camera
- Sew more doll clothes
-^which reminds me, get more cloth

 

So I just happened across this thread and am now thinking: with less than a quarter of the year to go, what are my doll plans for 2014? As far as buying: nothing, other than continuing to make layaway payments on my Impldoll Idol Azalea. I won't have her until next year, though.
I guess I don't really have any specific goals with timelines, really--- just a bunch of ongoing projects: mostly making my dolls more clothing. There are tons of clothing projects I want to do--- more than I could possibly finish in what's left of this year, in fact. I need to work on drafting some patterns for my (currently stark naked) brand new Souldoll Zenith dude who doesn't own a stitch of clothing. And I have my first doll furniture project in the works, which is about half-finished. I'm also going to give wig-making another shot, since I'd like to make one of my girls a new wig and I am planning on making Azalea one next year when I get her. And I have a doll who needs her extensive tattoo finished, too.
Given that there are roughly 2 1/2 months left in 2014, though, and life is disgustingly busy, and I have stupid amounts of other stuff to do, the likelihood of me dressing Robb, making more outfits for all of my girls, finishing my first doll chair, completing Priya's tattoo work, and making a decent wig in that time span is.... well, not going to happen. We'll see how much of it I get time to do, and whatever doesn't happen this year will carry over into next year. I'm in no hurry--- the main thing for me is just to enjoy the creative process.

 

My plans for what is left of the year is to continue working on finishing the dolls I have and get them more clothes before I buy any more dolls.

 

1- Get a starter Bjd - Dollzone 1/4 new bodys ...Im obsessed.
2- Get a head XD - try to research for compatable heads. and choose the best.
3- 1 Outfit .....but will be like photorealistic looking .. not doll-ish. theyre expensive!
4.Hair ....omg the hair ....lol
5. Get the money for all this.

YES . getting the money is my last one.....DENIAL.

 

My biggest plans are getting Cassiopeia back (LTF Luna - faun hybrid with soom ai hooves) and getting Andromeda (LTF Mio - unicorn gal) home.
I would like to get a white skin body for Phaedra (Minifee Nanuri '14) and figure out what to do with my Minifee New Family head. She needs a body too!
I need to get a faceup back on my tan MNF Celine and I would like to bring a MNF Mirwen home again! She’s definitely one of my faves!
The last of my plans is getting a body for my incoming Pukifee Juri head. I haven’t decided if they’re staying of course and I won’t know until I see the faceplate but finding a spare body is gonna be such a pain.

My incoming Pukifee Dony and newly arrived Dust of Dolls Krot Arie need faceups too.

I'm way beyond my wildest dreams as far as getting dolls this year. I think I'm done now. I ordered two Saint heads that may or may not color match bodies I already have, but I've got a long wait ahead of me so bodies are not in the 2014 cards.

Projects already in progress and making clothes are my priority now.

 

1. Buy a crown and shoes for my MSD.
2. Sew her a dress.
3. Learn embroidery.
4. Take lots of photos.
5. Buy her more clothes and miniatures.
6. Make alpaca wigs.

 

Currently:
-Get enough money for my doll (With my birthday and Christmas coming up it shouldn't take too much longer)
-Organize my room/closet so I have a place to put all my future doll-related items.

Long Term:
-Learn to sew
-Find some way to support my future hobby
-Possibly buy a LittleFee Lewi

 

1. Give my Bobobie Mei a new faceup; it keeps falling off, haha
2. Possibly start trying for face-up commissions?
3. Save up to buy myself a Souldoll Joelle.D for Christmas.
4. Bodyblush/tattoo my girl(s).
5.Learn how to re-string my Dollzone Gill so I can put the regular bust on her instead of the steampunk one.
6. Work on my photgraphy skills

 

1) Get a job so I can start putting aside some money for a doll.
2) Calculate how much my first doll will cost, clothes and wigs included.
3) Come up with a back story for my first doll.

I have nothing impressive planned for the rest of this year. Hopefully, by this time next year, I will own my first doll (or two ).

 

1. Buy more clothes and accessories for my current doll.
2. Learn to take 'better' photos of her.
3. Figure out her personality/story [what her relation might be with future dolls and such].
4. Find the perfect eyes (and wig?) for her.
5. Learn how to sew clothes for her, so that I won't have to buy much clothes for her. Then again, that seems to be quite a long shot seeing as I'm too busy to actually learn how to sew at the moment. x'D

 

1. Have doll arrive.
2. Only buy one more clothing related item for her.
3. Figure out which shoes I absolutely need for her, then purchase them.
4. Go to my first doll meet and somehow manage to not embarrass myself or annoy anyone. Also preferably not hide in a corner being too scared/shy to really talk to anyone.

 

Still a little more than two months before it's year 2015~

For my plans, I wish I can order my own nYID from Iplehouse, I should be able to do that at the latest on December. I bought my previous doll in 2012, it's time to buy a new one ;p
Then before the year ends, I'm going to sew clothes and make faceups. For my own dolls, and for my friends' dolls. And right now I have an ambition, I want to do furniture (at least a sofa and chair), and some cool accessories for my dolls (not just scarfs, headdresses etc. but something else, like doll-sized dishes, baskets, bags etc.)!
Aaaaaand, totally one thing I have to do is that I have to take photos of my dolls, edit them and post them on forums.

 

My plans were derailed in August and September, when my Dad went to the ER three times. I'm in the process of taking over all his affairs, and there's been no time for anything else. Now that he's settled in a skilled nursing facility, I hope to have time to reorganize my sewing room and do lots and lots of sewing. I've got to draft patterns for SD (slim & hefty) and MSD, so no doubt I will be struggling to get the correct scale for each.

 

So close to the end of 2014, I would like to:

1. Get an Impldoll Azalea I ordered through Denver Doll and compare her body to that of an Iplehouse.
2. Find out if my Iplehouse Aurora and Azalea Idol will make a good couple.
3. Buy a Planet Doll David boy, and give him a faceup.
4. Buy some clothing accessories from Mint on Card.

 

So at the beginning of the year, this is what I wrote (and what has become of said plans):

1. Save up for and attend the doll con being put on by DoA this September (so very excited for this!). Done! And had an absolute blast.
2. Get face-up for currently blank doll, Dolf (hopefully in the next month or two *crosses fingers*). Done! Dolf has a fantastic face-up by Buff now.
3. Purchase Eilian (and necessary things like wig, eyes, boots/shoes, etc). If purchasing is not do-able this year, save for him diligently. Errrrr....
4. Purchase Rhas-Khan (and necessary things like face-up, wig, eyes, boots/shoes, etc). If purchasing is not do-able this year, save for him diligently. Errrrrr....
5. Get new face-up for Ryzel. Done! Ryzel has an awesome new face-up by Angel Toast.
6. Sew clothes for dolls that have none/only 1 outfit. I made 1 new outfit so far for a doll that only had 1. I've also made a bunch of outfits for dolls that had no need of new clothes *sigh*.
7. Be more active with my dolls (take more pictures, go to more meets, etc). Semi-successful here *sigh*.
8. Try very, very hard not to add more dolls to the current resin army than the 2 listed above *falls over laughing hysterically*. Umm, yeah, about that....

While at the Dollism con in September, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to buy the DearMine Oskar they brought with them. With that being the case, my saving for Eilian and Rhas-Khan suffered a severe set back. I'm glad I bought Shae-Lin but I'll be a looooong while in saving for the other boys. On a positive note, I did managed to find the limited wig for Eilian second-hand and I also bought Rhas-Khan's eyes while at the con, so I am getting there in bits and pieces.

 

I am still waiting on my first two dolls, but they will most likely not be here by the end of the year. So, my goal for 2014 is to make at least one clothing item for both dolls!

 

Remember that time when I actually had a coherent doll plan? lol well now things seems to have changed. I no longer want a Luts LuWen or a B&G Sunny/Sandra (at least not as much as before). I still need to get a body for Kaine, but now I also need to get a body for Eli the Migidoll Jina head I have coming in If theres one thing I've learned from this hobby it's how freaking addictive dolls can be! I still want to get a DC Ingemar, but he'll have to wait until I've sorted out the dolls I have at home now/the dolls coming in
