I'm glad to say that fom my 2014 goals:

1. I've Ordered an Impldoll Azalea (I'm still waiting her arrival to DDE then to me), but l have yet to compare her body to that of an Iplehouse.

2. I've yet to find out if my Iplehouse Aurora and Azalea Idol will make a good couple.

3. I have bought a Planet Doll David (45cm) boy and I'm still waiting for shipment, which means I still need to give him a faceup.

4. I have bought some clothing accessories from Mint on Card and hopefully will continue to buy some more.


5. Currently I would like to see if I can buy a secondhand Iplehouse Lisa the Addiction with the vampire face.
6. Or get an Iplehouse KID Bambi.
7. Take a few more pictures of my dolls before the year is over.

 

End of the year update time! Didn't get a lot of what I'd wanted to get accomplished because spring/summer saw me and my (now) hubby planning our wedding, which happened just this fall. I regret nothing XD


Basic Goal for 2014 is to have "dollie bonding time" with each of my dolls. It'll be 2-3 weeks at a time spent with each doll where I will focus on finishing them and flushing out their characters. Basic goals will be to:
* Do/re-do faceups if needed --> didn't happen... I started this in April and stripped the faces of 3 dolls and they're still sitting blank waiting for me!
* Faceup sleeping heads, do body blushing, manicures/pedicures if needed --> ha........
* Any tattoos or piercings relevant to their characters --> nope
* Formally write out their character bio/profile and rough outline of their part in the overall story so I can finally start writing out some of my ideas! --> actually made some progress here, I've got some basic story ideas and profiles written out, though much refining is needed
* Make sure they each have 2-3 wigs and 1-2 pairs of eyes just for them This I accomplished. Buying eyes and wigs is a serious weakness of mine.. the goal now is to get rid of the extras I don't need!
* Sew them one or two specific/character accurate outfits --> nope...
* Perform any dollie maintenance needed like cleaning, restringing, sueding -->nope again, which is sad because some of them are in desperate need of restringing
* Photograph them lots!! I don't know about lots for each doll, but I do feel I was fairly good with photography overall

So those are my specific plans... general plans just include some basic things like:

* More sewing Nope...
* Acquiring props Got a few, but not enough XD
* Work on indoor photography Done! Always room for improvement but I have some of the tools I need
* Continue to purge wig/eyes/etc that I no longer need Always a work in progress
* Buy a dollfie dream! I'd wanted to do that this year but because of events and wanting to complete the resin family that particular side project took a back seat. I want to build one from scratch and completely customize it myself, I expect this will be one of my first purchases of the new year XD Done!! Brought home a Dollfie Dream Yaya in Spring '14 and she's gorgeous!!
* Avoid buying any more new dolls unless I sell one to fund it. My doll plans always seem larger and more grand than what I realistically feel comfortable with. So 2014 might see me downsizing a bit, but it won't be until after I complete my above plan for individual dollie time Yeah... no down-sizing and I managed to add to the collection with a Delf Moon, a Unoa Lusis (grail!!), a FM60 tan Celine, minifee Soony head and have also ordered and paid for a tanned Minifee Rheia and Rena, who should arrive early 2015.

Guess we'll just have to see what next year brings XD

 

With just three weeks left in 2014, I'm fast running out of time. I think I'd like to order some glass eyes to replace the cheap acrylic ones many of my dolls have. Maybe still make some wisemen outfits for Christmas for three of my dolls, and some tutus for my tiny mice. Then take some nice Christmas photos. Save all the really big goals until next year.

 

There's not much time left for my goals, so the uncompleted ones will go into next year's list.

1. Bring home my Luts Duri Complete!
2. Get him a faceup (preferably in a timely manner) Complete!
3. Actually get shoes for my dolls (poor things have been barefoot for ages) 50%
4. Mako eyes for everyone!
5. Get accessories and doll props
6. Take pictures outside for once
7. Learn how to sew --> Nah...
8. Put together beds for both of my dolls

10. Attach Aurelio's eyelashes
11. Fancy Doll Heart outfits for everyone!

I'm not good at following plans. I some how bought a new doll,....But it's okay because it knocked off one of the goals on my lists

1) Make or obtain clothes for all of my dolls. I really want to make my own clothes because I'm looking to save money. This is an ongoing project as I enjoy making clothes for my dolls.
2) Get shoes for everyone!! I still have a few dolls without shoes. Plus, my minifee would like more. Still need to do this, especially since I added another doll, or three >.>
3) Wigs for Niah, Minhyun, Soa and possibly Madelyn. Done Everyone pretty much has a proper wig.
4) Go to my first doll meet! I plan to ,hopefully, attend one next month. Done
5) New faceups for Madelyn, Niah, Lucas and the new girl So the new girl got a face up...The rest will have to wait until the new year and nice weather.
6) If possible...a body for Niah. May or may not happen. Done kinda? Niah had her body stolen by Seven for the time being.
7) Can't forget the eyes... Done Everyone is good with eyes, for now.
8) Hopefully buy a Withdoll HOE Juwel in Brown tan... Opps, bought a minifee (or two, and a head) instead...>.>

Looks like I'm done for 2014. Still making doll clothes and I'm about to order some shoes for the crew. So Yay!!! I kind of stuck to my plans. Except for those darn Minifees.

3. Make a real effort to sell the dolls I want to sell
4. Go to DollNorth
5. Finally order IslandDoll Crystal in blue resin
6. Make, and follow through with, a serious plan to save up for my grail doll
7. Do not buy any dolls until I have set aside enough money for my grail
8. Order my grail doll on or before my birthday in September 2014
9. Find or make props for my 70cm boy
10. Make a bed for my 70cm boy (so he does not find his way onto mine so often]


All in all, not too bad. I accomplished most of the stuff I intended to do. ^^

 

I did actually get some of this done in the last 2 months--- specifically, my Souldoll Zenith dude is no longer naked! I successfully drafted my own set of patterns from his measurements and completed a plain pair of trousers and a basic t-shirt for him. Nothing fancy but they fit well and look decent and he's not "the naked guy in the box" anymore! Which is awesome since that was the main thing I wanted to finish. All the other projects I mentioned here will just have to roll over into 2015.

 

Final update for the year!

I thought I'd put in a late-ish reply to try and hold myself accountable this year... I've been a little out of control lately.

1) Get some boy outfits so my boys look as nice as my girls!! It's embarrassing!
(Update: Bought boy outfits. I just keep putting them on the girls!)
Final report: All my boy bodies are clothed with shoes! They still need nicer outfits, but at least the basics are taken care of.

2) Get bodies for floating heads, I'm such a slacker when it comes to this.
(Update: no update.)
Final report: Down to two floating heads! All the others have either been slotted to sell or have bodies.

3) Gomidoll boys: Find and purchase an Igon head, send I-Bi off for a faceup!
(Update: no update.)
Final report: Done and done!

4) Dolly bath time for Esme and Ian! And restringing for Ringo.
(Update: "Ian" no longer exists, he's destined to be a girl! But yes to a bath for Es, and restringing for Luna and Ringo.)
Final report: Ian has become Lydia, Esme had a bath, restringing, and sanding. Ringo has become Rosamond and she has been restrung.

5) Figure out a new look for Dorothea, I am determined to bond with this doll no matter what it takes.
(Update: Failed. T__T )
Final report: Bonding succeeded! She still needs a new look though.

6) Buy outfits, not dolls! Especially wishlist outfits.

7. Buy a pair of shoes for Lilith, some eyes for Guen and Henry, and maybe some fabric for clothes -on hold Makoeyes Shipped!
8. Buy my Iplehouse Douglas! -ARRIVED!
9. Buy the Iplehouse Demon Hunter set, two pair of boots, & wig (getting wig later) -DONE! ARRIVED!
10. Buy the Iplehouse Witch Hunter set if it ever comes back in stock.... RECEIVED!
11. Have fun learning how to make my own BJD next year!
12. Maybe finally paint my Doll Leaves Cat tiny... next year!
13. MAYBE buy my Resinsoul minis that I wanted to get over a year ago.... XD not happening this year :/
14. Start saving for a minifee.... or two... or three... or seven XD will have to wait another year or two

Managed to do everything but buy photography backgrounds! Gotta get some of those in 2015

 

​Here is the progress from my original post. That's it for this year.

-Buy cleaning tools - I got some cleaning sponges, but that's it so far.
-Learn about restringing - Nope, not this year.
-Learn about face ups -Yes, I have researched what I need to get and am in the process of getting all the stuff together!
-Buy a better camera for pictures - Yes. I also got a 32 GB SD card and a small 6" tripod.
-Buy a carrying case - Nope, not this year. And honestly, I might just use a bag.
-Buy a MSD sized music stand, Sherlock coat, chair, desk, umbrella, more wigs - I'm in the process of ordering more wigs, but the umbrella I wanted was out of stock. I ordered a chair, but it never arrived even though it says delivered... But well, I'll make the desk and chair for now. The other things I leave for 2015.

 

The end of the year is literally around the corner! Let's see how we fared!

4. I actually went backwards on this and wiped the one that had a faceup....now I'm more behind.

6. Still blank, now damaged and in need of fixing. So no.
7. Oh hey!! He's a MD River now, and omg fabulous.
8. Yeah. I couldn't mod him, which was the plan, so he's got a face and that's it...Heh omgfail
9. Did this! She's a Judith Zinna I snagged at Dollism
10. That was a big fail.
11 even though it wasn't numbered. Carder did get a faceup!! And I've not touched him since. It'll happen.

So. I really didn't do a great job on my goals at all.....lets hope 2015 is better.
