1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What are you Doll Plans for 2014?

Nov 24, 2013

    1. 1. Get my dolls home
      2. Learn how to body blush
      3. Work on giving the dolls who need them scars
      4. Learn how to sew better
      5. Face-ups for all the poor blank kids
      6. Bodies for the heads

Awesome thread. Fun to read all the plans people have!

    2. 1.) Finish paying off my layaway for a MNF Chloe.
2.) Craft accessories, furniture, clothes, etc for her and for my Pukifee.
3.) Commission a tattoo, wig, and faceup artist for Chloe.
4.) Think about bringing home a MNF Karsh for Chloe's man friend.

#2 is all my crafting skills lumped together, so the list is short, but here it is. :)

    3. Whenever i make plans, they don't happen. Either way, here it goes:

      1) Get a Ringdoll Jack The Ripper before it discontinues (either through the event or paying)
      2) Find a better box to put my doll stuff.
      3) Work on faceup commissions
      4) Repaint one of my Dollshes
      5) Paint my new dolls when they arrive
      6) Begin to work on my own BJD head (only head for now)

    4. Ah, it's that time again! Let's see:

      1. Limit doll purchases as much as possible; it's getting crowded around here
      2. Make an effort to work on the project list, which is quite long
      3. Improve photography skills
      4. Continue working on my doll-related website
      5. Get all my dolls set with permanent eyes/wigs - I'm very picky, so this is an ongoing effort

    5. I'm going to keep it simple, and focus on improving my skills in the big three:

Photography (learn how to take better pictures using my DSLR) ,
Clothing (learn more sewing techniques), &
Face-Ups/Aesthetics (study others' techniques and practice)!

Basically, to do more and to do better!

I may purchase a new doll, but if the new year is anything like 2013, I probably won't.

    6. Wow I feel like I was just doing this for last year lol.1

      1. Get a body from Resinsoul for Maria my RS Ling head.
      2. Get a faceup for my IMPL Aimee that IMPL forgot to give a faceup to.
      3. Get a faceup for my IMPL Teno that IMPL sent b/c of all the bad service.
      4. Find Maria an appropriate sized microphone
      5. Decide whether or not to keep random free head from IMPL

      Ongoing
      1. Give Zoey (IMPL Dorisy) some tattoos.
      2. Tweak Zoey's drum set so it looks and works better
      3. Get a full time job so I can move out, so my dolls don't have to hide.
      4. Find a girl who can accept a guy who collects dolls.

    7. 1. Pay for and receive my DD Hatsune Miku.
      2. Finally get my body for my one and only floating head.
      3. Get more clothes for my older dolls that haven't received many new things lately.
      4. Try and cut back on the new doll purchases.... as it's to hard on my wallet. ^^;

Hmm, that's the most I can think of now, but I'm sure more things will come up as it gets closer to January.

    8. 1. Finish paying off my Luts Centaur. (hope to do that really before dec 31st but not likely)
      2. Sell a few dolls that I have for sale.
      3. Get into doll north again.
      4. buy second baby imp doll so I can have two one goat one human.
      5. grow my doll doctor business.
      6. have more money for dolls, lol.

    9. I tend to get really enthusiastic about this hobby for a few months and then lose interest for a few more, so it seems my plans take longer to complete than they should. This year I'd like to:
      1. Sew/purchase more clothes and shoes for all my dolls (done!)
      2. Get a body for Quinn + wig/eyes/clothes
      3. Possibly commission a face-up for my Re-che, or at least do one that I'm happy with (done!)
      4. Blush everyone's hands and feet
      5. Start to collect props

    10. Things that require money:
      1. Save up for a new doll...will be a slow (painfully slow) process since I'm a college student with no job, and it'll probably take longer than a year...but that's good, because I don't know which to save for yet!
      2. Buy Phinny some new clothes
      3. Buy Calista shoes

      Research/Things to work on/do:
      1. Improve sewing skills!
-Make clothes for Calista, maybe some new pants for Phinny
      2. Look into finding a body for Anthoney--there must be a match out there!
      3. Learn to pose Calista better!
      4. Spoil the kiddies with their new stuff! (Mom's buying them wigs, and new eyes for Calista)
      5. Get back into working with my camera, take lots of pictures!

    11. 1. Take a group-pic of my Teenie Gems. I've been asked a lot for this but somehow I haven't gotten around to do it yet.
      2. Get my ZuZu Delfs Mong and Samzang home and photograph them a lot!!!
      3. Find new and fitting eyes for Xavier, my Dikadoll Autumn.
      4. Buy another SD girl. Hopefully a Luts anime-girl.
      5. Make photostories with my dolls! I originally started this hobby because I thought making photostories would be great fun! (But it's so much work to do, heh! ;D )

    12. 1) Learn how to restring/ suede
      2) Find at least one acceptable pair of shoes for my SD girl
      3) Save up for a Pukifee Pongpong, and this adorable little bear costume I found...even my non-doll friends agree it's basically the cutest
      4) Finally break out the sewing machine and learn how to do the thing
      5) Maybe find some local-ish meetups?

    13. My plans:
      1. Get faceups done on the heads I am selling, and get them sold.
      2. Save for Dollism, and get the reservations made and flights booked!
      3. Clothes. Work on learning to make them, and work on getting everyone better-dressed.
      4. Take more photos.
      5. Iplehouse Benny, or DoD Ducan. These are the two major ones on my wishlist. Benny is top of the list, but Ducan's been on it the longest.
      6. Blush a lot of hands, go through and re-do any faceups that need it.

    14. My dolly resolutions are:
      -Learn to restring (properly!)
      - get at least one doll (per year)
      - get a job
      - Start making clothes to sell on etsy
      - learn how to do faceups (properly)
      -buy some MSC
-learn how to use MSC (properly!)

    15. Wow, my plans feel less detailed than most, LOL

My only dolly plan at the moment for 2014 is to complete various outfits I've already started. I may have a top, but not the accessories or shoes, or a skirt but haven't sewn the underskirt, etc. I really would love to have finished outfits.

I'm certain I'll end up adopting more limited dolls (Lati Yellows, I'm sure) but I don't have any solid plans for doing so.

    16. Now that I'm in college, and don't really have the spare money to do a bunch of things with dolls, i think i'll lay off buying any new dolls next year (especially since I got 2 this year!) >x>;;; I think I might focus more on making outfits, taking photos, buy a few more wigs, practice more faceups/ get more faceup supplies....yeah. pretty much!

    17. 1. Find and buy shoes for my Lati Yellow SP girl (or figure out how to make some - even better!)
      2. Take a sewing class to improve skills
      3. Buy a sewing machine, so I can stop hand sewing everything!
      4. sew complete outfits, not just random pieces
      5. Find the perfect sculpt of a more "grown up" girl, and buy her (hopefully)

    18. Lets see....

      1. Start working on 1:3 scale miniatures to populate my room-box with.
      2. Find a 60cm-ish companion for my only SD girl.
      3. Make more doll clothes for all size dolls and come up with some new patterns.
      4. Finally get over the fear of doing a face-up on a male doll. ^^;
      5. Buy more doll shoes, they are the one item I always forget about.

    19. Hm... Here's my 2014 "Dolly To-Do's"
Fortunately I've achieved all my "Wish List" & "Holy Grail" dolls! (unless Enaibi & Kinoko Juice start taking international preorders ) So now it's all the small stuff; eyes, faceups, clothing for everyone!

      1. Commission faceups for dolls staying that really need 'em (Maltheus, Meredith and Lucy).
      2. Move more of my guys on. Space is limited and it's getting pretty crowded! ^^;
      3. Try to limit how many dolls come home. See above.
      4. Work on (and hopefully finish) the 'on-going' project dolls ... OR if I'm finding a distinct lack of motivation with a certain doll, move it on! Having too many unfinished W.I.P's lying around makes me feel bad!
      Tinies
--- Cookie: Dress, faceup, wig, eyes, accessories
--- Gretel: Outfit, faceup & parts blushing, wig, eyes (oh and she needs a name too!)
--- Almast: Dress, faceup & parts blushing (@_@)
--- Romeo: Faceup & parts blushing, eyes
      Mini's
--- Sera: Order some new clothes from POTW
      Larger
--- Margo: wait for her head to come back from the artist, manicure all hands
--- Cherry: wait for new body to arrive, blush new body to match her head, maybe order her some new clothes (TTYA?)
      Dollfie Dream Girls
--- Sayu: Find or make some pastel blue&pink eyes, work out her clothing style and then buy her an outfit or three
--- Shizu: Find or make some pastel mint&teal eyes, buy her a smaller bust.
--- Miyo: Shell out some character details, make her some clothing that suits, get her a larger bust.
--- Lucy: Work out who she is and get her a custom faceup!
      5. Seriously look at getting a new camera. It doesn't have to be big or fancy or have the latest whizbang-poppers or have the shiny bells and whistles. It just has to be better than my phone/ancient P&S.
      6. Work though my slowly expanding fabric and craft stash and make my dolls some cute things!!
      7. Keep updating my dolly blog! Add new character info, and maybe look at doing some tutorials.

Wow... Seems like a lot when you write it all down! :sweat*_*

    20. 1. My NS Minimee SD boy body still needs a head. I really want a Dollshe Saint but they're too expensive mostly for me. If the end of the year comes and I haven't managed to find one I can afford I suppose I might get something else but I really like that sculpt and it fits a project I have in mind so...
      2. I just got a 43cm Narae head for my Miro body and I'm thinking that I might also get a 43cm Narin head next year if I can ever find one for my boy body that I can afford and make it a pair. I'd really like my mini Narae to have her brother around. They make such a cute pair and I'm rather smitten with both of them. I'm happy to finally have a Narae for myself but I would really like to have her brother too. He's too expensive for me as a whole doll generally but a head I could do and I have a Miro body already that could work in a pinch.
      3. I want a RS Dai this year. She's a major goal. I'll probably have to buy the head and scavenge a cheaper body but I don't care. I want my Dai. I've been totally coveting one since I first saw her.
      4. At some point I'd like to pick up a light Mirwen head maybe but it's not a major thing. I'm not a big fan of the Minifee body, or Minifee's in general but I like her and will maybe get a head eventually to rebody on a body I like more.
