What are your doll plans for 2015?

I've been out of the hobby for a little while due to personal issues but being back again, I can work on more doll plans! For the rest of the year (all 5 months of it), my plans are:

• Redo Carthusia's body blushing (and maybe her faceup, but I'm partial to it)
• Redo Trinity's faceup (COMPLETE!)
• Paint the Soom Thera to my liking (in progress, got her faceup done!)
• Redo the Unoa Lusis plate's faceup (COMPLETE!)
• Buy eyes and wig for Risa (Eyes in!)
• Buy a Lusis Akubi faceplate (COMPLETE!)
• Get a lovely, older (yellowed/aged) A-Line Minifee body for the Lusis (large bust, cutie legs)
• Start making alpaca wigs (planned for this month!)
• Wigs for Carthusia, Invidia and Trinity
• Paint Ophelia's tail & her stand (got her faceup done, eyes and wig are in!)

Other than that, I have some floating plans for bodies/heads that are floating, but painting/completing the ones I already have assembled are more important. n_n

 

Update 07/21- Bonnie is on her way home and should be here within a week. I was able to get 4 BID addiction outfits & Crow's set.
I won't be getting an entry into the contest, weather health, and lack of help are the primary reason -_-... maybe as a 'project' story instead.

0. Buy as little as possible during IH's Carved Heritage 2 series - 5th doll, pass!
1. DECIDE what my twins/triplets will be shelled in! Not sure anymore of my original plans size OR company wise anymore O_o. looking like IH KID's unless a better 'looking' doll company shows up but the size needs to be in that range.
2. Get Leonard from CH RE release with un-blushed short swords and gun! all home 03/23! DONE
3. SID Yur? or SIDw from CH even Putting off actual doll for current month/release periods
4. Get backdrops or at least figure out a decent place to set up in my house for pics. I will have to improvise the backdrops now

12. Get at least one entry into IH's CH 'missing stories' photo contest ... ordered wigs and extra outfit to do this with and they will arrive soon ^^ FAIL

• Ordered Iplehouse's J.I.D Sierra last Wednesday, so she is getting ready (super excited)

• Cry as I open my new JID Sierra.
• Ship her off to the spa so she can get her faceup done.

My plans were derailed by a sick cat, surgery and work issues. I have a new part time job and my new plans are to hybridize a doll I've wanted for some time.

 

I...really envy all of you who managed to stick to your plans for this year and actually get some of them done. My plans got derailed, crashed, burned and suffered a horrible death.

• Try not to buy a zillion dolls. Maybe just bodies for some of the heads that need them (Little Wyn!! He's #1 on the list) also, stick to actual wishlist and try not to get any just cause they cutes.

So far All I've managed to do out of this entire list is buy Little Wyn a body. And technically I didn't even do that, I bought a different doll a body and gave the old one to Wyn (who matched it better anyway). So my 2015 has been a total fail. Possibly even a total, epic fail.

Here is my new list.

• Due to St. Louis having the worst weather ever this year (it's been raining since it stopped snowing), half my dolls need faceups. So, Faceups. Many, many faceups.

• Somehow I've managed to have more impulse buys this year than ever before (Dollmore, Fairyland and Unoa have proven to be my kryptonite this year)....so I'd like to not buy more dolls (but I say that all the time!! But I have other goals now....) -- What I really need are bodies. I have floating heads, but I have several I'd like to upgrade right now as well...and all the bodies I want are pretty pricey (which is why I have yet to buy them), so I need to really put some effort into saving up for them.

• Clothes, wigs, eyes, parts. The extras and accessories are what I need atm more than dolls. So if I feel the need to spend extra $$ it needs to be on stuffs. Not dolls. Right.

• I would really like to get one other Alex tattooed by the end of the year. Seven doesn't need any mods, so he's the one I'd go with...he'd be so pretty finished....*dreams*

• Fix the arrivals\dates on the full profile on my blog. Somehow I got derailed on that and it's really off for 2015. Now I have to comb through my emails and figure out when I got the stuff I got this year :\

• Speaking of my blog...I need to get back on track there too.

• I've officially run out of room in my room for dolls, so I kind of need to reorganize or sell. Or both.

• If nothing else, I need to wipe Azrael and redo his blushing. He's had it for a long time and I can do better. I could redo his faceup but what's the point...it'll look the same anyway (easiest faceup ever - it's just all black).

I don't see anything else getting done, but if it does, Uriel and David could use a body blush, and I would also like to do Kimi, Isis and Sage (notice how this doesn't get to even be on the real list. I'm that sure it won't ever happen).

2015. My year of fail. It started out so good....

 

My plan :
1. Give Juan from iplehouse a proper name
2. Give ling from bbb a proper name
3.buy clothes for ling
4.find a lelouch consume for juan
5.get a name for my second dd doll
6.get lonnie from iplehouse
7. Get a volks sd10 as christmas present

 

My current plans are:
- Buy a body for my floating Juri head
- Save up enough to buy a Luts Senior Delf Flora
- Buy clothes, a wig, and eyes for my incoming MSD
- Give my Minifee a face-up that she's been waiting for
- Go to a Doll Convention/Meet

 

Still failing hard on this. Especially the do not purchase any more dolls unless its Rhas-Khan or Eilian part *head desk*. Aside from buying the Dollshe head (who's now trying really hard to get me to buy his body and probably winning if I'm completely honest because it's an inexpensive one and currently on sale) to be Wu-Tyr, I have also purchased Edenlei (Unidoll UH-07 Elf) and Prasiolite & Rhodolite (Batchix artist-cast Clever Littles) and plan to order Saraf (5Star Dark) shortly. To be fair, I've needed to switch the sculpts for Rhas-Khan and Eilian and am search for their replacements (I believe I'm close!) but I think it'll be HIGHLY unlikely that I can get them this year *sigh*.

However, I have bought the eyes and wig for Saraf as well as bought his dragon arm and the metal leaf required to turn said arm into that of a platinum dragon. I'm also trying to purchase some hands for Wu-Tyr *crosses fingers*. Ammiel's mod and face-up are complete (and OMG! he looks amazing!). Still sewing clothes for dolls although it is for the 3 most recent purchases. No real photos taken *hangs head*. Just haven't had the time to do it. Haven't done any sorting/organizing of doll stuff and I really should get my butt on top of that. It needs to happen.

2. Work on actually getting more clothes for everybody!

Well, we're already halfway past 2015, but why not add on.

I'm currently saving up for a Luts Delf William to be a companion for my April Story Stella. I already have half to pay off towards him. So close!

In other news, I'm debating whether or not to restring my BJD myself (she's a bit loose), and that's about it. Thanks for asking!

 

So far I have accomplished my first goal!

*Get my first ever SD (Doll Leaves Evan -on order). Been putting this off since I joined the hobby years ago. I'm ready to go big! DONE!

I also got his Kimono, wig, eyes, and did his face up so I get a gold star for keeping on track! It's a big deal -my first!
Except I have added three more dolls this year....

New To Do List:
Get Star Elise a pretty Kimono
Get Ichabod a Mad Hatter style out fit, wig, eyes, shoes (I hate trying to find shoes!) and do his face up (weather permitting as it will be this winter when he arrives -most likely not gonna happen till Spring)

Only two dolls to work on, looks like I can do it, ONLY if I keep a razor sharp focus. I want more gold stars!

 

I only have two goals that I want to do before the end of this year. Really not sure that the first one will happen though....

1. Get bodies from my 3 floating heads; Bronwyn (Dimdoll Larina)
Sage (Dimdoll Laia)
Jester (Modded Minifee Chloe sleeping head)

2. Save the money to start a layaway on Denver-doll for Ghost (white skin Minifee Mirwen.)

 

Not bad progress I guess.... but now I have an owl to blush as well. XD But I've done a great job in terms of making stuff so...

1. Polish off existing dolls who aren't finished.
-Make a decision about Mina's wig: purchase new? --> ACHIEVED! Yay for GO orders
-Eudora's blushing --> Not started yet.... terrified because I am considering doing it myself
-Peg blushing (wings included); get Peg wigs--> Um... haven't started yet... -.-
-Make decision about Antal's wig; purchase new? get second?--> ACHIEVED! (Joined a go for a second wig just in case)
-Get Sitara her beautiful smokey gray eyes--> ACHIEVED!
-Make decision about Sala wig: get a new one? --> Need to look into this one again b/c I got her one last year and it's nice...

2. Get a body for the floating head. (Mirodoll) --> I have a top, mats to make her pants... but not body yet... it's only half way through right?

3. Decide who the new hybrid is/name. Get her eyes and a wig... and something to wear.--> ACHIEVED! (See Bang for reference. XD)

4. Get my Time Lady. (Island Doll Vivien; 6 month layaway on MoC) --> No progress, but the year's still young

5. Post at least four pictures a month on current collection. (These must be pictures taken in that month. May be for the Photochallenge group on DA.)--> Nope nope nope... -.-

6. Do 3 creative projects this year (doesn't include the Comfy swop or making something for the Winter Meet up). [Make a piece of furniture, sew some clothes, make props, etc.]--> ACHIEVED! (Yay swops!)

7. Start the doll apartment. --> No progress

 

My plans for 2015 are very long termed, as I practically promised to my partner and I wouldn't buy another doll too soon (actually, I had only planned to buy one in October and then I ended up buying a second one on occasion in November - he agreed, because I purchased her from a very dear friend of ours), so my Oliver (Honey Delf Pie) and Kathrine (K.I.D. Bambi) will have to wait. It's actually a good thing I have to wait for Bambi: as I couldn't purchase her in the limited edition period, I'm hoping she will be released as basic like it happened for others in few months. So, there, hope XD.

Plus, I am participating in a big project with fellows doll-collectors, money will go there too ^^.

As for the rest, I plan to spoil a bit my girls with some props or toys (I really want to find some nanoblocks for Emma), and I plan to enjoy them *a lot* .

Honey Delf Pie ordered in April (waiting for him) as Luts had discounts. Sadly I didn't manage to get everything I wanted, but I bought enough XD.

K.I.D. Bambi has been added to the Doll Choice and I will wait to see if Iple makes the same offer of DC at basic price in December, otherwise I'll wait for her to eventually become basic (or see If I find one second- hand from Europe)

I have added Aquarius Mia G to my list to shell my Larp Character, Meike Hannelore Pappenheim.

Soooo this should be the whole update!

Update 2

Remember how I have a WISHLIST? Well, I just happened to have a bad case of infatuation with the Luts SDF Event Head... so Romance Carmine was NOT ONLY added to my wishlist, but I actually found one and I'm waiting for him .

Now the doubt: SDF OR SDF65 body?

He'll be the companion to my Meike (a doll I still have to purchase XD)...

Due to a series of events, I will come in possession of a KDF 2015 summer event TOO (I will divulge the particulars in the future, at the moment I can't ^^), and so...

I'm in search of a MSD boy body TOO. He'll be Georg's (SDF Romance Carmine) son.

This thing is escalating TOO QUICKLY XD. I have to dilute the expenses

I bought the Blair Set for Emma during the sale and a pair of black jeans for Maggie ^^. I couldn't pass the blair on, I fell in love with Bonnie with that set and I was very sad when Iple told me they would not restock it (and instead they did!)

 

Complete my elin inspired character, get more clothes and maybe put a layaway for a dollzone head.

 

My main thing would be to finish my final doll by getting him a face up and outfit (which will have to be custom made). I would also like to get more clothing for my guys in general. I am now going to concentrate on the dolls I have rather than buying any more.

 

Well my plan is to order my Iplehouse E.I.D Ashanti! My first BJD Im so excited!
