What are your doll plans for 2015?

my plans for the rest of the year are:
- buy armchair for Irvin Crow
- order new custom wig for him
- do face up on event head
- buy Miracle head and bust show shelf for this head

Well, my plans for 2016...
- The main goal is to buy body, which I have long dreamed of
- Next step is to sew or purchase three piece suit for a boy who will get this body

 

Update 11/08 - Yur has been ordered! (Nov. 1st). It was a costly order as she is a new size so she gets all the extra hand poses (5) all blushed and body blushing with a custom face ^^. I decided to not risk missing the newest uniforms so the EID & nYIDb uniforms come home with her.
Okay, my nYID garden party dress and under gowns are here! Also got bonus SID day dress! It's the white test dress and can be 'trimmed' as I like ^^. I am thinking of sending my JID to my dressmaker to work with.... not sure about that yet. made decisions and have cleared more tasks ^^

0. Buy as little as possible during IH's Carved Heritage 2 series - DONE! The last 3 dolls in the series have been move to 2016 and I only bought ONE LE outfit huzzah! for not buying hardly anything! ^^
1. DECIDE what my twins/triplets will be shelled in! Not sure anymore of my original plans size OR company wise anymore O_o. l twins should be KID's. triplets'can' be but I'll get slightly larger dolls if any come up. KID Angela is a promising sculpt for the twins ^^. I think I will call this DONE
2. Get Leonard from CH RE release with un-blushed short swords and gun! all home 03/23! DONE
3. SID Yur - ORDERED NOVEMBER 1st.
4. Get backdrops or at least figure out a decent place to set up in my house for pics. postponed due to $

5. Tackle 'how to make boots' - postponed.
6. No buying of dollies or bodies for floating heads till end of year (and beyond!) - This one is already giving me grief, though I am safe as long as there is no not-to-be-missed events happening by the year end -
7. MSC incoming heads and do/redo face ups - postponed.

 

@Lilla it's funny how we all try (and often fail lol xD) *not* to buy any new resin... it's like the major and yet most difficult among any dolly plans, isn't it?

Primarily: manage *not* to buy any new dolls. Sell the stuff I don't need. Like, really, and without missing it (while not doing anything with it when it's locked in the dolly place). I finally got down to selling my Yo-SD doll, and some dolly heads, but... oh, man, you don't say 'No' to a graily-LE, right? :3 (just a head though

Besides, (but it's not necessary) try to sew something and take a few really good pics, and maybe sell some clothes? Oh, an finish one tattoo and restore one faceup... DONE IT I mean, the clothes, the pics and the faceup... the tattoo still needs to be redone and I still need to sell some more clothes.

get a few cool wigs for the crew as well GOT IT (on their way to me :3)

there's not much of the 2015 left, but I still need to:
1. sell some more clothes
2. actually 'sell-sell' my Yo-SD body and save up some for a bigger SD boy body ( I won't buy it by the 2016 tho...)
3. finish some projects, a.o. a sexy lil lace dress I'm working on :3
4. Take some pics. Meet my friend at least once to take some more)
5. re-paint my ope-eyed Jina
6. Sew more clothes
7. get a few more pairs of shoes for the crew and sell the ones they're never wearing

 

I don't want to get any more dolls now. Just concentrate on those I have and get clothing and buy or make more props for them. I would also like to get better at photographing them.

* Manicures and Pedicures for: F60 Lishe, Delf Arwen, all Minifee (Not yet)
* Restring: FM60 Rona (Done!), F60 El, Minifee Mirwen, Minifee Nanuri 13 (rest not yet done)
* Tattoos for SDF Abadon, F60 El, F60 Celine and possibly others... (not yet done)
* Attempt to make alpaca wigs for my MSDs. Maybe XD (Someday...)
* Start my de-yellowing project for my Delf Moon head on much newer F60 body - remove default faceup, de-yellow head/blush pink, and give him a new faceup (Low priority, reorganizing)

I've discovered this year that my doll preferences and tastes are changing, I've decided big resin SDs aren't really my thing, boy dolls aren't really my thing... but I do love my vinyl DD girls and my Minifee girls. Rest of the year will probably be spent reorganizing and deciding who stays and who goes.

Miscellaneous

* Sew more! Like... lots more. I barely had the time for any sewing this year and I miss it terribly. ( *still need to do )
* Practice painting eyelashes and brows on my faceups instead of relying on the unpredictable water colour pencil. I did manage to find some (hopefully) perfect brushes for this endeavor. (Getting much better!)
* Decide once and for all if I'm going to actually assign characters and stories for my dolls or if I'll just settle on picking names and basic personalities for them and have them be my chameleons. Every time I think I've settled on a story line/setting, I start to panic and feel that I've "trapped" my dolls into one look... like if I dress them modern for their story then I can't have them dress fantasy, or steampunk, or historical... (constant work in progress)
* In-spite of the above, I do like the idea of having only one pair of eyes and one or two wigs (same-ish colour, different style) for each doll. More than that takes up too much space! So need to decide on that, but really only have 3-4 who have yet to settle. (Good progress here, about 75% 85% done)
* Major spring-cleaning. I want to be ruthless this year in moving on all the extra wigs and eyes etc. I've accumulated over the years and have held onto because they might be perfect for some future unknown doll. (In progress! Lots done!)
* Redoing my doll display and storage into something more practical - acquire storage and shelving and doll stands for each of the dolls, preferably starting with the big 'uns. (Still in progress!)
* More photography and better photography is always an on-going goal (always ongoing!)
* Spend more time getting to know my fellow doll lovers! (always ongoing!)

I got a lot more accomplished in the first half of the year than the second half, but I had a lot more free time then... XD

-order mori kei outfits for Noella - done
-go to a doll meet - not yet, but I'll be at the SDCC panel - went, it was fun, going to SD BJD Con

New plans as of now:
-pay off MNF Liria's layaway - done
-look for a Delf body for my AES - eyeing a couple for when my current layaway is paid off
-get clothes and eyes for Noella (her name is Fujiko now) - ordered from Taobao
-get clothes and eyes for my AES - I ordered some eyes and a wig for her from Taobao
-find a name for my AES - it's Cheonsa Nari
-get a new face up for my Miyu (hers is chipped and dirty) - done, and it's beautiful!

I'm getting a raise on my next paycheck. Please keep me from spending it all on doll things.

Going into the end of the year and the beginning of 2016, here are my new plans:

-pay off current layaway for a new AES (I totes need 2)
-get that body for my first AES (I hope it's still available after Christmas)
-there's another doll I'm drooling after on the MP that I'm dying to get so I just hope she stays available
-get the perfect wigs for my two AESs (found it on Dollmore)
-restring Alex (the elastic I used is too thick and I'm afraid it's going to warp the resin)
-restring and suede Bri (she's sooooo tight)
-get new clothes for my Azone (I know she's not a bjd but she's sitting here looking at me)
-price cameras and lights so I can do nice photography
-design some nice doll clothes with all the fabric I have
-learn to do face ups

 

Dolly goals for the next two months:
Start a layaway on Iplehouse Stella to be my Lucille.
Start attempting to sew her costumes from the movie
Find the sculpt for Edith. If I already have both sharpe siblings, they need their butterfly.
Find a dress for DI before she gets to my house (around the 29th of December)
pay off dollzone's msd body with the gears, to make sure I get it.

Actually finish up the dolls I have. Not one doll is complete: hair, face up, right clothes,shoes,name.

Not buy 6 bjds and 4 off topic littles in 6 months. I got my first doll in June and have gone a little crazy. Oops, bought 4 more dolls since this post, plus a bonus in a MoC grab bag New - try to at least only get planned for/wish list dolls. There are no words for the dolls going in and out after this.

Make some furniture for my girls. I did, at least, buy a couple of benches for my girls. Yesterday I started looking up tutorials and making plans. Who needs furniture when you can get more dolls?

Get more scooters so I can do a ride photo. I got one more scooter, but it needs work. That leaves me one left to go. Never mind. My dollies apparently don't get nice stuff, because there are too many dolls that I want.


Second try

Do NOT buy any dolls until last one is paid off. Technically, I did this. Barely.

Get face up for Leeke LE Elf Daisy. Also paint all of her accessories to make them match the face up. Turn her sewn up dress into a removable one. Face up booked. I did all of these things and promptly traded her.

Make Fairies out fits for my three tiny off topic dolls, and get one more to complete theme. Research started. *Sigh*

Make a fairy diorama. Research started. I got some stuff. It is on a set of shelves completely filled with to-do projects.

Sew more clothes for my girls. Ah ha! One I worked on!

Try to build up a stash of clothes to sell. A few christmas dresses mostly made. Whatever.

Update 11/15 - okay just shoot me now >< I caved on a totally unplanned BIG doll. I ended up putting Soul Doll's new Terra Zenith 'Oscal' on a 6 month LA -_- Blushed with outfit and boots ... he's also a step up in size for me at 75 cm... topping my EID's by 5 cm... I think I've lost it ><.

Get proper wigs and eyes for the dolls I have now, get some faces (re)painted, actually make some clothes

 

I've hardly gotten through my list at all! (It's on the first page)
-I got Tripp's faceup done but the weather turned before I could do her body blushing!
-X is getting close, her painting is coming along, and her helmet and buster are nearing completion.
-I not only got Zero as an extremely early holiday present, but I got another Mini-Machina to be Vile too! I haven't started their mods or painting yet.
-My other plans were to get Tripp's cage all set up and start making doll clothes which I have kind of been working on, but also kind of not...
My poor Tripp.
-I have been slowly assembling props for the reploids so that I can make them a cute little 90's gaming room box.
-I also bought Tripp clothes and boots and my wishlist has been all thrown out of whack by discovering new dolls that I would very much live to have.

 

-Buy bodies for my floating heads
-Buy the wig and eyes
-Try and make an Alpaca wig
- Get a decent wig and eye collection going

 

Here's the update:

- Finish modding Nightcrawler. I'm so close! - Done
- Buy photo backdrops or build a doll room. Or both. - Built multiple doll rooms! No photo backdrop though.
- Sell the wigs and clothing I'm no longer using. Goodness knows I need the space. - Done!
- Finish Nef. Her head needs to be blushed to match her body. Possibly mod her nose. I'm still trying to decide on that one.- Done
- Complete my layaways - Those are done but I went and started new ones. D'oh!
- Buy Pete a nice outfit. His pants don't really fit him. At all. - Hm. I just put him on a bigger body and now everything fits.
- Faceups for the blank ones - Done.
- If I have the time, blush some more hands!-Done

 

Here's my doll plans for 2016:

- Rehome my unused items and extras, pare down a doll or two.

- Work on face ups! I have at least two to do.

- Knit and crochet cute stuff for all of my crew! Try my hand at sewing some items as well.

- Potential additions to my crew: 1 more MNF body in NS, and possibly bringing a Littlefee on board! I've been eyeballing the adorable Ante. And I'm always up for adding to my collection of floating heads.
