Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023.     1. Um. I still haven't really made any progress. Lessee what happened.

      • Try not to buy a zillion dolls. Maybe just bodies for some of the heads that need them (Little Wyn!! He's #1 on the list) also, stick to actual wishlist and try not to get any just cause they cutes.

      So far All I've managed to do out of this entire list is buy Little Wyn a body. And technically I didn't even do that, I bought a different doll a body and gave the old one to Wyn (who matched it better anyway). So my 2015 has been a total fail. Possibly even a total, epic fail.

      Here is my new list.
      • Due to St. Louis having the worst weather ever this year (it's been raining since it stopped snowing), half my dolls need faceups. So, Faceups. Many, many faces. Still have blanks hanging around.

      • Somehow I've managed to have more impulse buys this year than ever before (Dollmore, Fairyland and Unoa have proven to be my kryptonite this year)....so I'd like to not buy more dolls (but I say that all the time!! But I have other goals now....) -- What I really need are bodies. I have floating heads, but I have several I'd like to upgrade right now as well...and all the bodies I want are pretty pricey (which is why I have yet to buy them), so I need to really put some effort into saving up for them. Well I got two bodies!! One didn't work, and is still sitting around with no head and the other is for a new head. And I got more heads. So that's a big fail.

      • Clothes, wigs, eyes, parts. The extras and accessories are what I need atm more than dolls. So if I feel the need to spend extra $$ it needs to be on stuffs. Not dolls. Right. NOPE

      • I would really like to get one other Alex tattooed by the end of the year. Seven doesn't need any mods, so he's the one I'd go with...he'd be so pretty finished....*dreams* NOT EVEN CLOSE TO STARTED

      • Fix the arrivals\dates on the full profile on my blog. Somehow I got derailed on that and it's really off for 2015. Now I have to comb through my emails and figure out when I got the stuff I got this year :\
      Kinda. I'm still missing one I have to track down.

      • Speaking of my blog...I need to get back on track there too. Oh hey I sorta did that.

      • I've officially run out of room in my room for dolls, so I kind of need to reorganize or sell. Or both. UM. A little.

      • If nothing else, I need to wipe Azrael and redo his blushing. He's had it for a long time and I can do better. I could redo his faceup but what's the point...it'll look the same anyway (easiest faceup ever - it's just all black). NOT EVEN

      I don't see anything else getting done, but if it does, Uriel and David could use a body blush, and I would also like to do Kimi, Isis and Sage (notice how this doesn't get to even be on the real list. I'm that sure it won't ever happen). yeah. Basically I ended up reworking a large chunk of my collection and doing nothing else with any of my other dolls. So everything is fail.

      My new plans for 2015 are:
      Stop making plans. All the plans fail. All of them.
      And no more new dolls.

      Maybe.

      I love this thread. It shows me just how great I am at procrastination.

    2. Update 12/10 - only 2 days after my last update a major upheaval in the family derailed the timing of nearly everything. Custom clothing plans were put on hold until further notice ... which means they have been moved to 2016 when I can pay attention to them.
      Over all I have done well. The clothing needs/wants changed a bit but are on track ... the timeline now extends into 2016 as has the receiving of some split items to accommodate partners move etc.
      I will call my plans for 2015 a success!

      0. Buy as little as possible during IH's Carved Heritage 2 series - DONE! The last 3 dolls in the series have been move to 2016 and I only bought ONE LE outfit :cheer huzzah! for not buying hardly anything! ^^
      1. DECIDE what my twins/triplets will be shelled in! Not sure anymore of my original plans size OR company wise anymore O_o. l twins should be KID's. triplets'can' be but I'll get slightly larger dolls if any come up. KID Angela is a promising sculpt for the twins ^^. I think I will call this DONE
      2. Get Leonard from CH RE release with un-blushed short swords and gun! all home 03/23! DONE
      3. SID Yur - Arrived home Dec. 2! DONE
      4. Get backdrops or at least figure out a decent place to set up in my house for pics. postponed due to $

    3. Okay ... considering I went on a couple-month unplanned hiatus, I'm still kind of on track. I'm waiting for Dollits to open his event before I place an order, but I'm very likely ordering AprilStory's 1+1 Gift Box with Adrian and Adrienne, mainly for the bodies.

    4. My last update to this, and grad school really kicked my butt:

      Definite
      * Build up a little more stock of purchased clothing. -- 12/14 accomplished thanks to Dollheart Fukubukuro event!
      * Do faceups/blushing on Winry, Alphonse, Razzy, and Izi (inclusive of all sizes). -- 3/10 Winry and big Al are done, little Alphonse is next
      * Do final cleanup, retouching and blushing for big Jace. -- 1/14 DONE! Technically he still needs a bit of gloss, eyelashes, and restringing, but that's relatively small compared to where he started yesterday
      * Redo Adet to the proper skintone, testing out the Mod Podge sealing technique to preserve the color. -- 9/15 Adet's been dyed, and is restrung for now; she'll get faceupped and blushed later, and may still get a bit of mod podge in the joints to protect the color
      * Get some Spoonflower "kits" designed and uploaded for sale, and ordered so I can create the tutorials too. -- 3/10 some preliminary work is done
      * Finish the current doll bed with its mattress, bedding and quilt (also do a tutorial for the quilt kit).

      Ongoing/Carryover from last year
      * Continue working on clothing patterns. -- 6/17 more patterns are actually together!
      * Continue making actual clothing. -- 6/17 more clothing finished too!
      * Finish up Cetewind's wig (now that the right parts are here).
      * Continue working on Ed's automail mods (both MNF and LTF sizes). -- 9/15 LTF Ed's leg sculpting is done, MNF Ed's leg is nearly there!
      * Complete (more or less) replacing all eyes and wigs that still need replacing. -- 12/14 there's more of these that need doing than I thought, so this won't be finished any time soon, but a good number of dolls got taken care of this year!

      Hopeful
      * Get Instar blushed and work on his wig.
      * Settle on a look for and blush/redo all the Soomlings.
      * Snag a couple of Soom bodies for the catgirls. -- 9/15 Liora's Soom body arrived and has had its dye work done; she's restrung for now awaiting final blushing and magnet insertion.
      * Bring home three additional dolls ( FairyLand, Little Monica, Luts) to "complete" two sets. -- Whoops modified! It's now going to be six additional dolls; ordered an Illusion Spirit doll I've had my eye on before the end of the discontinuation event, adding one more FairyLand, and a third from a currently undecided company. -- 12/14: Got the FL one that ended up being two when I thought about it, didn't manage the LM again, and may swap the Luts to Darak. Also got the "third from an undecided company," so... of the six I had listed here, I actually only missed two. Plus, one of the two sets is now "complete." So... success?
      * Replace Gabriel's body (again), and sell off the current one (then get him in line for his mods) -- 7/21 The old body's gone, so for now this one's done! (I'll worry about the mods later)
      Longshot
      * Get a couple of F60s.

      So while school kicked my butt a bit, there's only one "definite" item that didn't get any work done at all, only one carryover, and only two hopefuls. (The longshots are still longshots.) This was kind of more a year for bringing things in than actually working on them, but school's over soon, so next year can be a more "doing" kind of year, now that I have stuff to do!
