What are your doll plans for 2015?

- Buy Alex (Supia Juah)
- Buy Nneka (Twigling Ingenue) On layaway
- Buy Hunter (LLT Roderich) and his body (April Story Senior boy body) I'm gonna buy a LLT Lazuli instead. Also a different body.
- Buy Annabelle (Iplehouse SID Eva) When Marien was released, she seemed like a much better option.
- Buy a Popodoll 68cm boy body for Andrew I compared measurements and the body won't fit him.
- Buy a 2D Doll girl body for Charlotte I will get a Volks SDGr girl body for her instead, but probably not this year.
- Buy from Freedom Teller
- Buy at least 4 pairs of urethane eyes
- Buy wigs for Damian, Annabelle, Robin, Jaxie and/or Scarlet
- Buy a school uniform for Gerda
- Buy more clothes for Robin, Connor, Tahir, Damian, Scarlet, Annabelle and/or Hunter
- Commission one or two face-ups

 

- Sew more clothes
- Hunt down more well-fitting shoes
- Save up for the 3 WITHdoll boys
- Sand and paint cat ears
- Order new eyes
- Buy heel feet for the new girl

That's all I can think of at the moment.

 

My "Plans" for the year, such as they are, are topped by the need to spend as little as possible in the coming year on dolls. I've decided that it's TIME; the house needs some TLC and I want new furniture, who knows how long the wheezing old minivan is going to last (I have MY priorities, you know? dolls before wheels ) and unfortunately there's a *whole* lot less disposable income than there has been in prior years.

But that doesn't mean I don't have ideas. My collection needs adjustment: old guys need spa treatments and restringing, I have umpteen unfinished projects on which to exercise my modest sewing skills and, most of all, my camera is getting rusty from lack of use Unlike many, photography is my least favorite part of the hobby, but it needs to happen anyway.

One concrete goal? NAME the ones I know won't be going anywhere! I just need to do it.

I also hope to whittle down the overall size of the collection - but I say that every year and it never seems to come to pass. It seems to me that I would do more with them if I worked down to my core loved ones

Above all else, I intend to enjoy them in 2015, no matter what else I do with them.

1. Get either Supiadoll Lina or Feeple60 Rin (Possibly Celine? After seeing owner photos of her, I think I'm starting to like her as much as I like Rin. .) I'm making it my goal this year to at least get one. At least, for now. Haha, bottomline is I'm aiming to get 1-2 dolls this year.
2. Buy more doll clothes/shoes/other accessories for my doll, as well as (hopefully!) upcoming dolls.
3. Try out restringing (buy the necessary tools for it?), as well as doing faceups.

 

1. XD my first plan a few mins ago was to take a piccu of one of my BJD's with fireworks in the background XD can check that one off the checklist..
2. I'm also planning on getting Peakswoods Kisha for my b-day money this year ^-^
3. Erm.. Wanna get more BJD's and outfits from my list XD
4. Wanna make a Diorama..

My Doll Plans for 2015:

* To buy more dolls from my hope list
* To make clothes for the dolls I do have at this time
* To have fun in the hobby

 

1- Trying to not spend too much money in buying new dolls
2- Shoes for everyone!
3- I still have to buy a Dia tan

 

*Order my dream doll
*Get shoes and more than one outfit for everyone(No one likes wearing the same thing everyday)
*Start making a home for my tinies!
Yup! I think that's a realistic list for the year

 

- Sell the dolls I don't play with. Better they go to a good home than sit in boxes gathering dust
- Start doing my own faceups rather than keeping the factory default
- Take up sewing classes so I can make my own clothes (and hopefully sell on etsy one day)
- Take at least 1 photo a week and mix the poses/locations up
- Keep to dolls on my wishlist (unless LE and can be put on layby)

 

I failed horribly at achieving my dolly plans for 2014, I was kind of able to accomplish going to a doll meet because I ran a BJD panel at MizuCon but that doesn't really count so I'm not hoping for much this time

1. buy Nadeko at least one new outfit (bought her 2, one commissioned just for her )
2. enter a VOLKS lottery (and won! another dress for Nadeko)
3. take Nadeko out for photos more often (took her on more shoots than last year, 3 of which were this month)

 

1. Give faceups to all my dolls that are currently blank
2. More clothes for every one
3. Learn to make doll shoes that are cute
4. Clear the top of the dresser and turn it into a staging area where I can take pictures
5. Attempt to make eyes and wigs

 

HAPPENING

✧ Blush Chloe’s body/do nails/some sueding
✧ Redo Ian’s face up/blushing/some magic-looking tattoos/some sueding
✧ Add some shimmer to Alyss’s face up/finish blushing/fix her sueding/nails

✧ Get them a little wardrobe or something for all their stuff cuz wow guiz you have more crap than I do at this point...

✧ Figure out how to do hot glue piercings and give everyone earrings
✧ Chloe wants hip studs

✧ Make a scythe for Malachy and maybe some proper necromancer props

✧ Decorate said shelves
✧ Make beds!!
✧ Find/make more food props
✧ Research more dollie patterns/do more sewing
✧ Get better at wig making!!
✧ Get better at face ups!!
✧ Just get better dagnabbit!!!!


WISHFUL THINKING

✧ Get Samael home (DC Matthew I have on layaway currently) and decide how I want him to look
✧ Get him faced-up/blushed/restrung and sueded
✧ Clothe him
✧ Figure out something cool to do with his wings...
✧ Also decide what I’m doing with the event doll
✧ Get eeeeevvveerryyoonnneeee’s back stories written out now, before more dollies make it home and I get backlogged worse than I already am
✧ Find a MiniFee to love?
✧ Jointed hands for Ian
✧ Cute hands for Chloe (which is really, really hard to find for a 60cm I think... unless I’m just derping and not looking in the right places, which could well be - I can be pretty derptastic justsayin’)
✧ Make a Flickr
✧ Get a better camera for my dollie picture taking


IN MY DREAMS

✧ Get Soom Hyperon - tan preferred, but I am sooooo not picky about that, as long as layaway is an option.
✧ grab some stock bodies, to support my floating head purchase impulses

✧ Take out another credit card for dollie reasons
✧ Go to a meet!

✧ Learn to knit... because doll sweaters this year killed me with their cute omg...

Other plans
1. Get all my doll stuff organized. I have clothes and fabric everywhere. Started I got everything straightened up and in one place. Need to get more storage space and separate the doll items by size and category.
2. Sew!! I really need to catch up on my sewing. I have so many outfits planned but have fallen behind.
3. Faceups for anyone who needs them. All incoming dolls will be coming blank. I also have 4 dolls waiting. I need nice weather first.
4. Shoes, eyes, wigs!! Just about everyone can use new shoes. Everyone is pretty set with eyes and wigs. Just need to make sure the incoming dolls have everything they need.
5. Repair the hairline crack in Aria's arm. I've pretty much stopped playing with her so I don't actually damage her. It breaks my heart because she's a favorite.
6. Possibly do an eye opening mod on my Miyu sleeping head.
7. Find a nice display cabinet thing to set up rooms for my dolls.

1) get a good grasp as doing faceup, tie everyone's faceup style together so they dont seem like a mess
2) get some good quality eyes for everyone, especially the smaller girls since their eyes are like deer in headlight right now
3)maybe make some outfit for my dolls since i don't plan to keep my faceup shop open??
4)think up legitimate characterization and backstory for everyone...

 

-buy 3 MNF's!! Chloe on a M-line body with full bust, Celine on a M-line body with full bust, Rheia on an A-line body with full bust (the Rheia head would go to my friend and the body I would hybrid with one of the M-lines to get the bigger bust for my Zoey (MNF Miyu) to get her "boob job"

-HOPEFULLY buy Dodge (IH JID Boris)

-Spend the rest of the year getting face ups, clothes, and wigs for all my incoming dolls!

 

- Sew/purchase more clothes...it's embarassing how few clothing options my bjds have :/
- Get some practice heads
- Practice faceups on said heads
- Figuring out storage for all the doll stuff
- Try making some eyes
- Do more tattooing on my dolls
- Acquire more dolls (especially getting my first boy bjd)
