What are your doll plans for 2015?

I'm waiting for my pre-Christmas purchase but I'm hoping to buy another doll in June, when the companies do their summer events. I very nearly bought two dolls during this event but talked myself out of it, to my wallet's delight. Just gives me something to save up for!

I'm also looking for new clothes for most of my crew - 3 of my brood have outfits I love but the rest need a makeover. Starting with my SD boy, he's been ignored for way too long. Poor guy - I bought him several years ago and forgot about him. Then I bought him a girlfriend, and forgot about him. I really need to pay attention to the dude! Thankfully a few sellers on etsy do 'lucky packs' so I've gotten quite a few things I never thought to look at before but I've ended up adoring.

 

To dream and hope to buy my first BJD doll

 

-Everyone is getting new eyes
-I need more MSD size shirts
-My only 70cm boy is getting either outfitted or sold
-Trying some new wig styles

 

My plans for 2015 are very long termed, as I practically promised to my partner and I wouldn't buy another doll too soon (actually, I had only planned to buy one in October and then I ended up buying a second one on occasion in November - he agreed, because I purchased her from a very dear friend of ours), so my Oliver (Honey Delf Pie) and Kathrine (K.I.D. Bambi) will have to wait. It's actually a good thing I have to wait for Bambi: as I couldn't purchase her in the limited edition period, I'm hoping she will be released as basic like it happened for others in few months. So, there, hope XD.

Plus, I am participating in a big project with fellows doll-collectors, money will go there too ^^.

As for the rest, I plan to spoil a bit my girls with some props or toys (I really want to find some nanoblocks for Emma), and I plan to enjoy them *a lot* .

I'm no longer planning for dolls because I always ended to get another things or sometimes changing the plans vice versa. T_T But, I'm saving up to get them more fine dress/clothes/wigs for this year ^^

 

BJD Plans for 2015:
1) Make some fancy clothes for Senya, based on modified clothing patterns since his shoulders are a bit broader than the typical SD.
2) Figure out eye-positioning to make him look super good in photos instead of staring blankly to one side.
3) Gather up the courage to attempt re-stringing my doll - I still haven't been able to, detaching his head was tough enough.
4) Hopefully start a layaway for Ringdoll Raymond-B.
5) Search in progress for a Switch Soseo head/doll in normal skin.
6) Studying up on photography in order to be able to take good photos.
7) Following up on 6), learning how to use Photoshop or related editing tools so that I can create good photo-stories.
8) Get a pomeranian BJD (if there are even any) for my SD/BJD pets.
9) Buy BJD furniture (eg table and chair etc) as well as cutlery/food or those kinds of props.

In someplace that's not reality, I'd also be able to:
9) Get a male YoSD, fantasy-themed if possible.
10) Finalise a decision on which MSD to get and purchase it.

 

I only have one plan: To finish Remo, my Volks Williams. He already has his dreaming eyes mods, his body and his shoes, but will need accessories, a wig, the right eyes, and his outfit. I'll be a happy puppy when he's done!

 

I want to get to know my two dolls.
Noodles a realpuki 'pupu' is already a tease, hides on me, gets hidden by my daughter in strange places and is currently watching me avidly whilst I type.
The doll I am waiting on is called Orlando, however I may change that when we meet. She is a 58 cm Doll-zone SD. I am planning on making her a kimono from genuine kimono fabric. Depending on how that goes I may also have a go at making one for Noodles though she is really small at under 4 inches.

1. DECIDE what my twins/triplets will be shelled in! Not sure anymore of my original plans size OR company wise anymore O_o.
2. Find something to keep all my 'weapons' in that is safe AND fairly easily accessible. (display case?)
3. Find something to work as a 'newborn' with my EID's (doesn't even have to be a proper bjd!).
4. Get backdrops or at least figure out a decent place to set up in my house for pics (lighting would be a nice bonus here ><)
5. Get stands! With this helpful post I have a great place to start! Thanks Ash! ^^
6. Specific clothing etc. needs.
- SID black pants
- EID tall 'regency' boots (SID if I can find them?)
- Black lace skirt

 

* Finishing the look of my current MNF
I have a MNF Chloe that is absolutely lovely, but her look isn't quite finished yet. I'm not sure what to do with her, so I'll just try loads of things until I finally find the right look for her.

* Making an outfit for my DHS Elvenia
Because the poor thing has been naked since he got here a year ago!

* Paying off my layaway
I have a Sugarble Issac on layaway that I will finish in no more than 3 months. I ordered him without a face-up and it will be the first face-up I do myself.

* Making a MNF Unicorn girl
I ordered a MNF Mio in WS in november that I will turn into a cute unicorn girl. Though it will probably still take quite a while for her to get here.

* Acquire my holy grail
My holy grail is Noble Dolls Radicelle. I'm going to try and acquire her this year. Because she is quite expensive (for me, at least) I hope to be able to find someone who takes layaway .

 

I'll get my first doll in February. With the help of my friends we'll sew his custom clothes. Meanwhile I'll keep saving for the next doll.

 

Finish what I have! I have so many unfinished dolls. Many of them still need clothes and even eyes and wigs. I would love another doll, but I can't get any until my two Minifee are fully wigged and dressed, and until my Dollstown SD has a few outfits of her own.

Must. Get. Sewing!

 

2015 doll plans:
- not to get any new dolls
- buy six tops and two skirts for my big girls
- buy one hoodie for my only MSD girl
- buy a few short length Leekeworld wigs in 8-9
- top priority is to upgrade my Arien's body to a more mature one

 

Ahh I feel so new to all this ;3;

My BJD Plans
-Recieve Bartholomew (Ringdoll Andrew)
-Recieve his clothes and wig as well as his glasses
-Recieve Azalea (KS-sky Moon Stone)
-Recieve her dress
-Make clothes/ cosplay for both of them
-Put together a living/ resting space for my dolls
-Include them in my uni work somehow (to help show working scale models for my designs)
-Photoshoot with my dolls
-Try and host a doll meet with some friends
-See if its worth getting Mew a violin (as I may need a set of hands for him to hold it)

I think thats all

 

So many people wanting to make clothes, that tends to be my permanent thing I need to do but as specifics go:

- Buy all the dolls! I'm a bit sick of trying to save for a house so a bit of my savings are getting spent this year
- Customise all the dolls? - Once I start acquiring my daedric princes I need to make them look the part
- Also redo blushing on current dolls - Lireal needs a decent paintjob on her roboty bits and Mal's tan paint is all rubbing off at the joints
- And start turning up at meets again

Its going to be a fun year

 

I'm not sure how much of this will come to fruition since I tend to be less disciplined with saving and more keen on, "buy,buy,buy!" ^^;;
but here goes.

Doll Plans:

****I know for sure I want the nostalgia of buying a full doll straight from the company(as lately I've been piecing dolls together)
and I'm hoping to get a blank Switch Shiho boy ^^

****Buy Switch Ajeong head, Switch Soseo head and Switch Vian head. Possibly DollClans Kien and Volks Sch A.

****Get face ups for blank heads I own or plan to own

****Get bodies for some in SD13 and SD17 size

****Be prepared to buy more Switch heads ^^

Other plans

****Buy more shoes

****Buy more casual outfits

****Invest in more Urethane eyes

****Be reasonable with clothing purchases(doll clothing is my Achilles heel ^^;

****Complete at least one project in usual creative areas(jewelry making, wig making, faceup, etc)

****Buy more doll furniture

This list is pretty ambitious but I'm hoping to take it slowly. I have a whole year, but time does seems to fly nowadays.

 

My doll plan for 2015 :
- No more NEW doll (I've actually gotten all my wish dolls last year, so I have no plan to order/purchase new doll this year, unless I would find a really interesting doll and have budget left )
- Waiting 3 heads to return from my face up artist
- Focusing on sewing project for all my dolls
- Taking more and better photos

 

OK, this is it so far:
1. Finish paying off my DC Zora layaway
2. Pay the last payment for my Ahkmel Aki
3. Put up for sale a couple of Sooms, two Pipos Charlottes, and probably my Cristy Stone faced up Luna Tamer human.
4. Find a better way to store and display my collection.
5. Maybe add one or two more dolls to the collection. To be determined.

 

All ready making headway! ordered EID 'Hessian's'! picked up the white shirt & black pants while I was at it ^^ I am waiting on stock to come in for 'stands' ... hopefully I won't spend or they won't run out of something else before I can order ;p
