What are your favorite 1/8 scale dolls?

Feb 3, 2024

    1. I’m looking for a doll between 15 and 20cm and I’m wondering who your favorites are in terms of head sculpt, pose-ability, and clothing options.

I like Gem of Doll Mr. Rabbit, but I haven’t seen any customer photos, only the company ones.

    2. I like Pukifee, Lati Yellow, and Withdoll BWD the most for that size, they all have different things I like about them. Withdoll has amazing resin and pose well and I like the looks of Lati Yellow and Pukifee. Myou 1/8 dolls pose really nice and I love their resin if you’re looking for a different style. I tend to stay around 15-17cm but if you want something a little bigger Realfee are cute. I also have a Luts Tiny Delf, Dreaming Doll Honey Elva, and a TTYA Child. Other artists/companies to look into could be Meadow Dolls, Nikki Britt, Chicabi, Irrealdoll, Secretdoll, and iMda.

This is not my listing but looks like these are photos of the doll you mentioned

And here’s a YouTube video, not my video, just found it searching the internet

    3. Depends on if youre looking for mature or childish. If mature, I really like the Bardo Research tinies like Peme, and Merry Doll Round's pygmy line, with mousse, dango, and bunyol.

    4. Thank you! That’s super helpful ❤️

    5. I would say childish, but I’m open to anything really. I prefer dolls that are unique in some way (anthro, elf ears, fangs, etc) since most of my collection is fantasy.

    6. If you can sew then I’d definitely say Fairyland’s Realfee are worth looking into although they’re at the larger end of your size choice. Their bodies are designed specifically for the purpose of being able to change the lower portion for bunny legs or other fantasy parts although currently the range is limited as they’ve only recently been rereleased after a long hiatus.

Pukifee have also just recently seen a partial rerelease and again the available sculpts are limited but there is a very good reason why they are so popular…. so damn easy to buy things for! It doesn’t hurt that they’re also great posers, have easily removed hands and feet (magnetic system) and some of the cutest faces.

Lati are also hugely popular and have been for many years but I’ve not personally owned any so cannot really comment.

Luts Tiny Delf have some cute sculpts with elf ears and are similar in size although I have found tight ankled trousers difficult or impossible to get over their feet. I also did not like how quickly the NS resin on mine yellowed. That may not be typical, he’s my only Luts doll and a few years old now. Those are the only bad things I have to say about him.

More and more companies are bringing out 1/8 sized so it’s going to boil down to personal taste at the end of the day, that and whether or not you can sew as the ‘Tinies’ range has perhaps the biggest actual range when it comes to body shapes and other than typical YOSD or Lati yellow/Pukifee the smallest range of clothing, wigs, eyes and shoes available for them which can be hugely frustrating!

    7. Thank you! This is very helpful!

I can alter clothes, but I’ve never sewn them from scratch, so perhaps I should stick with a PukiFee.

    8. Realfee size is a little more difficult to shop for, easier than Pukipuki and Realpuki, but the easiest in the size range for me are Pukifee.

    9. I have two supiadoll babysup, and I really like their cocoa and seron? But they do have smaller heads if you don't like that. I think they are more proportionate? They are really cute and childlike. They do sell add on ears I know for the fantasy element.

    10. I’ll look into those :)

    11. Doll Peddlar is having a sale on a lot of their old stock Lati Yellow, look for the ones marked sale. There are a lot of full sets on sale too so you would not have to worry about wigs, shoes, and clothes. Make sure you read the descriptions if you want full set or the nude doll

    12. Not sure if this counts as 1:8 scale but I believe the Elfdoll tinies (Hana, Doonah etc) are about that size! 20 cm, childish but not super baby-ish? They're discontinued now but they have multiple faceplates. I have one so maybe I can measure her tomorrow!

    13. Secretdoll, for sure, has some cute and unique 1/8 sculpts, I love their Mongs and MiniMongs.
Meadowdolls Twinkle size are occasionally available.
MYou Doll also has some cuties.

I love the small sizes and although the company outfits are usually pricey and sporadic, I've found an endless supply of lovely clothes and shoes on Etsy.

    15. Awakening this thread because I was lurking around to see if I could find a sort of master-list of this scale (specifically the chibi or childlike style of Lati/Puki/TDF/Myou)

ChicaBi has an absolutely adorable Chibi 16 line; TTYA has a similarly named Child line; and A Doll Village also has a Bebe16, and a Little Elf (21cm) line, which is possibly the only other 20cm range I've seen outside the Tiny20 Delfs- however they seem to be 6/7 heads, not 5/6. There are some interesting/quirky/anime/expressive baby sculpt options among these, and ADV seems to offer purple resin, maybe limitedly...? I also found a very small selection of 1/8 scale by Huajing Doll. That Jiujiu is so cute!

Still on the hunt for more, but I wanted to share a few lesser known options. :whee:

    16. They aren't made anymore, but Luts Tiny20 Delf were really nice, too. I managed to get hold of one secondhand about a year ago.

    17. What do you mean? They are still available on LUTS' website as well as via Denverdoll. I was just browsing them last night! :ablink:

    18. Hm. Maybe I misunderstood and it was just the headsculpt that was limited-edition. My bad.
