1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What do you do with your doll(s) for fun?

Feb 14, 2022

    1. I Photograph them and talk to them haha
      ( * ॑꒳ ॑* )

    2. I got my doll to sew for, but I like sitting her next to me while I’m reading or playing video games too!

    3. I photograph them! I have a diorama at home but I usually take them to photo studios.

    4. I have taken them to meet-ups in the past. Mostly though, it's taking pics/doing photostories with them, and dressing them and talking to them and figuring out who they are.

    5. Depends on what my brain lets me do! on a REALLY good day, it's making sewing patterns, sewing for them, styling for them, crafting for them.

Been a few years since I've had that kind of creative urge. Lately, the best I can do is take them somewhere fun (meaning "find somewhere to hike") to photograph them... or, more often, change their outfits and pose them nearby while I'm doing other stuff. Because I live in a city now (hissssss) and hiking options are limited to overcrowded local parks. -_-

    6. To have fun with my dolls I do a lot of things depending on my energy and mood:
Paint faceups, sew clothing, make jewelry, tattoos sometimes and occasionally make eyes and shoes and restyle wigs. I love photographing them and especially if I can take them into a beautiful garden or landscape for pictures, I enjoy having them on display on a shelf in my house and looking at them sitting together with each other. I enjoy making paintings inspired by them and writing little poems about them sometimes and always daydreaming about the characters that they have to me, their imaginary worlds and the projects I can dream up for them.

    7. Just looking at them makes me happy! To me, these dolls are like art pieces, so I like to admire their faceup and sculpting. Occasionally I'll change their clothes, but they mostly just stand somewhere I can see.

    8. I like to take my kids out for pictures every now and then, and I also like to redress them in something nice and new...or something old and forgotten, take your pick. Regular dolly stuff, in other words!

    9. I would say probably just hang out with her. I haven't done anything real extensive with my doll yet, but I enjoy her company and being around her.

    10. I love dressing them and changing their eyes/wigs!

    11. I am super busy every single day. I place my dolls where I can see them anytime in my dining room. I enjoy them just by looking at them.

When I do have spare time, I move them just because. I started making doll clothes as well but I rarely have time to make them. I love changing clothes, different posture hands and wigs. I also enjoy doing face up when I have chunk of time during the day time (for natural light source)

I am figurative realism artist and commissioned portrait artist by profession. When I first bought my doll, I had an excuse to use her as my "model' on my works to avoid hustle with living models. I was not interested in doll photography. But from there, I ended up doing actual photo shooting cessionary and started making sales on limited prints.

    12. I photograph them. I painting face-up and tattoos, and trying to knit some sweaters. Love to change wigs and eyes and clothes. Also making dolls rooms, dioramas, backgrounds.

    13. I love to dress them up most of all and plan their look. Shopping for them is so fun. Doll photography is definitely my favorite. Love making stories and character profiles. Just staring at them, carrying around my little dolls and taking them to my friends' house for dolly weekends :sorry.. Making accesories for them, finding them buddies, dioramas, just anything. :chibi
