1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

?

Do you own bjd eyes with coloured sclera?

Poll closed Nov 11, 2022.
  1. Yes (coloured sclera)

    17.9%
  2. Yes (black sclera)

    27.4%
  3. No (I only have eyes with white sclera)

    54.8%
    1. I can add one more option to the weird eye color vs normal eye thought, you can always do both at once in the same doll.
My boy Alice (short for Alistair) reminding me of that. He has one normal blue eye his "good eye" and one fancy eye that's black and red with a heart pupal that is his glass eye. (even though neither eye is made of glass RL)

So one more doll image to show the effect of having one normal and one fantasy eye.

You might have to click the pic and go to my flickr to get image big enough to tell that his pupal is a heart. Also forgive his bangs his old wig always hid his face.

    2. I've considered getting eyes with very light blue sclera. Many of my dolls have a disability or chronic illness of some kind, and blue sclera in humans can denote a certain medical condition. However, colored sclera I've seen go for bold, striking hues like black, red, etc.

    3. I'd like to have a doll with black sclera and yellow irises eventually to suit their demon character. I currently have eyes with irises in non-human colors, but all of them have standard white sclera.

    4. I currently have black (with red iris) and purple (with fantasy iris) that I bought for a doll I no longer own. I bought them because the character liked going a little crazy with contacts, the more outlandish, the better! I even had some double iris eyes for this character. I've since sold the doll, and I don't have any plans for any more fantasy dolls or dolls into contacts, so I don't really plan to buy any more colored sclera eyes, but I think they can look really cool on the right doll!

    5. I became obsessed with Dolk a few months ago and came across these kinds of eyes on their website. Always thought the black sclera with red pupils were really cool, but the only unconventional pair of eyes I’ve picked up (so far) have blue pupils with no iris and a magnetic butterfly you can attach to them.
