what doll in your collection is most like you?

Hm, good question! I would have to say my Emmeline is the most like me, if only for the hairstyle. She's way cuter of course.

 

I’ve been collecting for a long time and currently have 50-ish dolls. Each one represents an element of myself or a life experience expressed in a fun, fantasy way. My collection is my life journal. But I would have to say the one that is actually most like me in both attitude and looks is my pokemon trainer, Sugar (Luts Summer ‘10 Kid Delf.) Everything about her represents a younger me.

 

My #1 is my Irrealdoll Nur, Parker. She is most like I was as a kid. Long legs and always wanting to see what was next. Also the teeth as I do have a over bite.

But I was only blonde for my first year of life, I now have grey hair but was for most of my life a brunette.

 

Hmmm...this is a good question! I'm probably most like my Doll Leaves Pearl, who I've named Quinn. She's a character I shelled from a post-apocalyptic novel project. She does a lot of things that I probably wouldn't do after an apocalypse, but she's dependable and brave, and I hope I have at least some of those qualities...or maybe just her eagerness to please

 

Probably the most boring answer ever, but I never purchase dolls of any kind, because they are like me in any way. I would never own a doll that reminded me of myself, physically or emotionally. The closest thing is I dress most in black from head to toe, because I love black in general but mostly dress in all black since I could barely read.

I find my own personal appearance to be hideous at best. I don't even keep mirrors in my room and avoid them as much as possible, because I know I'll just scare the dickens out of myself. I could probably be a disfigured monster for Halloween without an actual custome.

I could use a Doll Chateau body, but there are no ugly BJD heads that would work. That is, if I wanted an semi-accurate representation if myself. I prefer collecting dolls based on beautiful anime or Japanese video game characters or just pretty looking fictional entities. Their personalities are not that important, but certainly nowhere near mine or they would also be boring as heck. (:

There aren't any crabby old ladies in my crew... But I do have one pretty snarky old guy. He's short, too...
So, I guess if I have to have a representative among the resin minions it would pretty much have to be Merlin.

 

It may be a bit weird but all my dolls got something from me in their character.
Leon: plays in a rock band
Seymour: loves anime and manga
Johan: Is a redhead
Craig: can find common ground with anyone
Liang: desperately needs to spend some time alone sometimes
Eugene: loves video-games
Aksel: is a sweet tooth

They are all stemming from facets of myself even when it's interests I have in random things. But I use a lot of personality elements and style elements I relate to. So Marina is very accidentally like me because I make her lots of my favorite styles of clothes I've had. Al and Kiki were in the beginning intended to be more like me though. I relate to those three a lot, and possibly Sven. He reminds me of myself because he wants to wear a lot of black but then it's constantly covered in cat hair

 

Oh none of them but the one that fits my funky phenotype is Rowena- Darker blue eyes, really pale skin, nearly black hair.

 

I'm not sure which doll represents me best, but I know which doll I want to be as me it is my Peakswoods Gumiho Miro because she's my favorite doll. I have a doll I want that I think is somewhat like me. It is Volks Rozen Maiden Suigintou in some aspects she is similar to me not her personality, but her desire to be loved and feeling insecure about her being "junk". I felt sad for her from what little I can recall on this show. The doll I want as well is Volks Rozen Maiden Hinaichigo. I think I might be similar to her in personality from what little I can recall.

I would like to add all the Volks Rozen Maiden dolls into my collection, but i doubt I will be able to get those dolls. Does Volks often re-release dolls or make more of a same theme dolls? I know they make Hatsune Miku often from what I have observed. I don't know if they would make Rozen Maiden again.

 

This is oddly easy to pick, though I have RP characters shelled like Kyle and Josie, or any of them really, as they all have a bit of me in them there is one that stands out.
My speedster boy Velocity was meant to be a mix of me and a fav comic book charcater, long story why he was made, but of all my dolls he is truly a mini me. Velocity is a Iplehouse Vera on the newer SID body with the smallest bust in peach gold, who use to be on a YID body with a bigger bust. You might note I used male pronouns, but also spoke of his bust size change, well I am a trans male. As I slowly shifted from f to m so too did Velocity. The smaller bust was so I could try and fake a more male/wearing a binder look with him. I am waiting to get top surgery and once I do, I would like to mod Velocity's chest to also be flat. As Velocity is my fanasty me I want him to look as boyish as he can.

 

I think I have similarities to all of them but probably my Iplehouse Isabel. Cute but pouty ! lol

 

My Crobidoll Heena! (who still needs a name…) I dress her in the same very casual + comfy + lightly spooky style that I wear. I also like that her expression looks either grumpy or soft & sweet depending on the angle, which is very me.

 

As far as looks, Harriet, my OfButterfliesNThings Paulette. We’re both plus size girls with light eyes and similar goth taste, though she takes it further than I do.

Personality, probably Pepper, my Dolkot Bera. We both have a weird/immature sense of humor, share a lot of interests, treat pets as babies, and have the same favorite and most hated foods.

 

Vidania is a character I made about a really dark point in my life (without realizing it) so I keep adapting and updating her newest trajectories. Zilvriia is a character I made about coping with/navigating/dealing with some backstory stuff for me (again, made unintentionally!) and she got a little more of my personality and way of speaking. A glittery, larger than life bard, incapable of silence (for better or for worse!) who periodically massively overshares because she has 0 idea how Normal people talk.

there are bits of me in almost all of my characters and dolls, but those are by far the most significant.

 

All of my SD dolls have a bit of me in their personality. Easy going, kind hearted, good sense of humor, and I also see my dolls as being Christians like myself. Yes weird I know - but if dolls can be wiccan, why not other religions.

However, there is no doll which could look like me physically. I am elderly, over weight, and disabled.. But I suppose I could find a doll which resembles the MUCH younger and MUCH healthier version of myself. I was once a petite blue-eyed blond cutie .
My dolls do reflect my personal style of dress. I'm a jeans and tee shirt kind of gal and I dress my dolls in casual modern clothing.
