What doll size do you consider most "fun" ?

Sep 29, 2013

    1. For me i into SD size it more fun and is big you can play with the body joints and add they wig and dress them up nicely and see how big there eyes are and whole body proportion too.

    2. Definitely SDs for me! I love their weight and since I plan on making many things for my dolls (from clothes to furniture to food/props), 1/3 scale is comfortably workable for me. My hands aren't the steadiest!

    3. I love SD's, they are fun. And I agree with nigiyakapepper, making them clothes and props is a lot easier because the bigger the work is, the more detail you can add. I know I hated making clothes for my MSD because I could hardly even fit them in my sewing machine without adding on a lot of extra seam allowance. But making clothes for my SD is perfect, not to small, but still fast work because it's not that big :)

    4. 16cm dolls, Pukifee, Lati Yellow, Tinydelfs, this size is just perfect! The dolls usually are super cute and adorable to pose plus their tiny size makes it so easy to carry them around. I always have a few around me :)

    5. MSD and smaller in my opinion. Minis are the best because you can easily carry them around and it's super easy to get clothes for them. Also props for Minis are so easy to find.

    6. Traditional 1/3 for sure! So 54-57cm. The weight and general size is perfect, and they're a nice size to photograph. I've handled all sizes, and lati yellow size is a close second just because they're hilariously tiny to me.

    7. MSD or SD for me. Maybe SD is even a little too big for me. Sadly, I've only handled those two sizes once, at a convention and my two guys are 70cm. I'm 4'6" so at 70cm and 651698431lbs, I just can't lug them around wherever I want.

    8. I've only ever owned MSD and YoSD, but out of the two I'd probably say MSD because of the size. My MSD is pretty easy to cart around, and I've had more luck finding props for her as opposed to my YoSD.

    9. I have mainly SD's and one MSD. I like the SD's the best, their clothes are a little bigger so they are easier to show a little more detail. The tiny's scare me, they seem so fragile.

    10. I have SD sized, minis, and two yo sized tinies. At this point I really like the SD sized dolls and yo sized tinies the best. I love my minis, but there aren't as many minis that really grab me as there are larger dolls. The tinies are nice and portable, but the ones around 26cm have enough substance to them to feel nice to handle, and there are a lot of clothes available for that size.

    11. I have MSDs at the smallest all the way up to those 70cm behemoths that are the Iplehouse EIDs, and while I like all of my dolls, my preferred size is definitely within the 60cm range (give or take a couple of centimeters). That's the range I most enjoy sewing for, mostly because I find the size of the pattern pieces easy to work with and I find it easier to find fabrics with patterns in an acceptable (if not always perfect ) scale. I think it helps that I don't carry my dolls around a lot. If I did I would probably prefer the MSDs. I have carried dolls around in public three times and in every case, the MSDs were so much easier to deal with.

    12. I think it's fun to have all sizes. :)

    13. My size of choice is definitely SD. I prefer more mature-looking dolls, and I love how big they are ^_^

    14. The majority of my collection is yosd. I really like that size. Not too big, not too small. My smallest is a zuzu delf and my biggest a msd. I do like the sd aesthetic more. So much detail and looking mature. But they are simply way too big for me.

    15. I enjoy my MSDs and Yosds the same. I love making clothes and props for them. I'm getting my first SD very soon and can't wait to try out that size. I'm sure I'll SD just as much. It really doesn't matter what size they are really. I just love dolls period.

    16. I only have two sizes at the moment, sd and yosd, I find them both fun but dressing my sd is great because I can put more detail into her outfits.

    17. 60cm range, honestly, part of the reason i like the larger sizes so much is when you hold them it feels like you are holding something substantial, you can hug them, hold them and do whatever and it feels satisfying, i think that's part of the reason i find them fun, the other part is the clothes, small enough to be cute but big enough to be not awkward to put on and just easier to work with the doll in general.

    18. Yosd size is my favorite. I have a couple of MSD size and I just don't handle them much at all. I love to look at them but I don't change their clothes or drag them around the house. I love pukifee lati size too and I've come to love a few smaller sized ones though I have a harder time taking decent photos of anything smaller than pukifee lati size. Right now my preference is turning to more mature looking dolls but there aren't that many in yosd size. I really want a Minifee but I'm hesitant of her size I have a DIM Miru and she has barely been touched at all. I guess it's possible I just don't like the body on Miru and that a Minifee would be more posable.

    19. The one that I enjoy the most and have fun with is my MNF Shiwoo. He is easy to pose or change clothes, and easy to carry around. Usually if I do any dolly outing activities I take him.

    20. I love msd's and I think they are a nice size to have fun with without being too immature, (I'm not really a big fan of yosd's), sd's might be too big.
