1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What dolls have you bought as a direct result of DoA??

Aug 31, 2008

    1. Thanks to DoA, soon I will be adding Pukis to my list of dolls. LOL Thanks a lot, as if I am not broke enough. LOL

They stole my heart the first time I saw them here.

    2. Hmm. Brownies.

I bought a puki, because it was really, the closest thing I can afford until some things get straightened out, but I've always fangirled the bigger dolls. I told myself I'd get my little pukisha, and then start saving for the Elfdoll Aden Limited I really want.

And then people started talking about this great sale that was being had for Brownies and I fell and fell hard and ordered two. Two!!

And my wishlist, as I keep looking at everyone' pretty dolls, just keeps getting longer and longer!

    3. Pretty much all of them. XD

    4. Honestly, I think I bought each one of my dolls I own today as a direct result of DoA or at least as a direct result of viewing owner pics :)

    5. yes! i love going through all of the news threads on DOA and the galleries, and i tend to click on ones about dolls i have never heard of before. sometimes i find amazing finds!

my latest girl is names Casa and she is a Narin Dandelion. i love her dearly and it was thanks to DOA that i had the oppurtunity to by her and learn about her. not only that but i was able to meet a lot of other Dandelion owners and it was such a great experience with everyone talking about their dolls and what they want to do when they get her.

    6. I got brownies because someone on DoA had a heads-up about their discounted fullsets. I knew I wanted a tiny, but pukis didn't have the faces I wanted....brownies did :D SO happy! :D

    7. One hundred percent of my dolls came from the Marketplace, and that's about as direct a result as you can get. XD And I'm grateful of it, because my dolly family would be totally different (read: nonexistent) without DoA.

    8. Absolutely influenced by DOA for my purchase of Twiggy Yumi due to the News posting, would not have gotten to her in time browsing occasionally at the retailers. Also ordered my Ante because of owners' adorable pics of her in the gallery. Thanks much to everyone, but now I have to stay out of the gallery for a while at least, well for a couple of hours anyway, ha.

    9. DoA helped me finally come to a decision on getting a Rosette girl, and because of this place I will likely get a Little Fee and/or a Puki at some point.

    10. My Dollzone Mo girl is a result of seeing Mos on here and thinking "He'd make a very nice looking girl."

My incoming Resinsoul Mei is also a result of DoA, seeing her owner pictures made me want her more than just looking at her official pictures!

    11. All but my very first doll, which I sold :XD: I blame DoA completely for my not just sticking to one like I thought I would

    12. All of them, basically :3

    13. Nothing yet, but the forums are really informative. There are so many molds I've fallen in love with because of Doa. Like Volks Kurumi, or many of the Soom monthlies. Also, the Supia girls and quite a few minis.

    14. I recently purchased a shoyo head from the marketplace. it was such a good deal!! :D

    15. wellp, i just ran out & put in an order for an estrella after seeing a hot ppic of one in the gallery.

      i have no regrets.

    16. my jinwoo, well, my friend frm here actually give me his picture and i fall in love with him at the 1st sight. so... yeah :D

    17. I saw these amazing pictures of a Naked Cuprit next to a Beryl. I knew I had to have a Cuprit. I didn't even realize Soom at the time. So I hunted down who she was and bought her piece by piece second-hand. And I am glad I did. I think, overall, I'm a limited-type of girl ;)

    18. I wouldn't have my Suiseiseki if it weren't for this forum.

I did not always love this sculpt, but after seeing more and more photos, and seeing one in person due to a meet-up organized here, she became one of my favourite dolls.

Ordering from Yahoo Japan is something I've never done, and while I wouldn't be afraid to order something smaller from there, purchasing a big doll was not something I wanted to risk. I was lucky to find someone selling one here on DoA for a very good price, so DoA has been entirely influential for me in getting this doll. :)

    19. I'm throwing my hat in the 'basically every single one' ring 8D

    20. Although most of the dolls either on my wishlist or already owned are from companies that were already loved through my friend, I would've never found the company Asleep Eidolon, and my darling Mo, if it weren't for the forum.
