What fits Iplehouse nYID girls?

Wow! That's less severe than I imagined the mod would have to be. Do the feet fit the shoe arch well or does that need alteration as well?

 

It was a WHOLE lot of sanding...even now, the shoe fits but not very well. I just got tired of sanding them down and left them as they are. I don't wanna squeeze those shoes onto her, cuz..those heels are too pretty to break.
I tried giving her other feet, but the ankle joint difference was very obvious.

 

Oh, that's too bad. Do you have shots of the completed mod?

 

I know, I know. . . it's OBVIOUS that this jacket fits, but I wanted to show everyone how epic it looks in real life!

You can see a bit of the bomber jacket lining here. It IS difficult to get on over her default hands (even moreso over the type 1 extra hands) But in general it's a very realistic fit and lovely. Absolutely lovely.

I've heard other iple girls can wear SD16 shoes. so did they make the nYID with bigger feet or what??

 

There are some SD16 shoes, like some of the Time Will Tell sandals, that can stretch to fit Iple girl feet because of the way they are designed. According to Iplehouse, all of the Iple girl feet are the same size. SD16 *generally* does not fit Iple girl feet. The Iple arch and the SD16 arch are not the same, and Iple feet are wider than SD16 feet.

 

I thought I would post this photo for comparison. My Elfdoll Sooah is wearing a Play Wonder outfit because Desdemona has stolen her dress. Yes, a dress made to fit the old LB Elfdoll body fits on the LB nYID girl without a fuss. I tried it because I was curious if it would work and it zipped up with no problem at all. Mind you, with this dress, there is no worrry about the hips. The dress was made by Kio and purchased at My Favorite Doll (mfd) quite a number of years ago, so no idea if it would still be available. However, just the idea that my girls might be able to share more clothes was exciting.

Do you know if this would fit nYID girl?
the waist is 21 as opposed to nYID 17.5
Hip is 28 nYID is 28.5
Thigh is 15 nYID is 17
I'm super worried about the thigh because these shorts are exactly what I'm looking for. :c

 

Hmmmm does anyone know how tough it is to make custom shoes? That seems like the safest solution to me, my first girl is going to be an nYID Emilia and she suits the character perfectly, I have sorted out the easy parts (wig and eyes) but now I'm trying to work out what to do about shoes and clothes. I was thinking that if I just make things myself then it might be easier than damaging her in all my newbieness trying to fit the wrong sized clothes on her especially shoes and there's no way I'll risk modding her. But initially I thought I'd pop in with some questions.

I'm lucky though, her character wears skirts and dresses since she's super feminine (retro/vintage stuff looks tough to find though), unfortunately she also should wear heels, which almost seems like a no go? She'll be medium bust, did someone say that SD16 shirts would fit?
Lastly how hard is it to find skirts (since they shouldn't have the same thigh issues)?

 

My nYID Emilia has the large bust option and she can wear many of the stretchier SD16 shirts just fine. She actually wears a complete SD16 outfit in this picture. The shoes are peep-toes from Iplehouse.

Talking about making shoes, well, it's not that difficult, however the problem with a doll of her size and weight is that you have to make sure that the material you're using for the soles and heel parts is going to be able to support her weight. The thinner the heels the stronger the material has to be.

 

I was wondering has anyone tried Crobidoll shoes on their nYID? I especially had my eyes on these. The length is only 7cm, but I wondered if the high-heeled feet are sort of "smaller" than the regular feet? Those shoes are so cute, they'd be perfect for the character that I had in mind for my upcoming Emilia >3< So I really hope they would fit..

Also, would 7-8inch be the best wig size? For Emilia specifically. I got a 9-10 Crobi wig for her, but after reading that some people use 7-8, I'm fearing that it might be way too big for her :/ I will use a silicone cap and I got always sew in the wig a little bit from the back, but if the difference is huge then it might be better if I just get a similar wig in smaller size...

 

I don't have Emelia but I have 2 other Iplehouse girls and I use 8-9 wigs on them, I know others prefer 7-8 but I have tried that size on the Iplehouse heads and find them too small, I haven't managed to get one to stay on yet. I prefer to use the 8-9 with a silicone cap underneath.

 

I have those exact shoes from Tata's Paradise, but in the brown. They really are super cute! ^_^
Now, I only have EID women, but being that the feet are the same size...the feet are definitely too wide to fit into the shoes. They fit my super gem girl's feet really nicely though.

 

Thanks for the info! My friend has a SID and she uses 8-9 too. I've been wondering if the nYID heads are even smaller though, as I've never seen any IRL. But I like using silicone caps myself too, so hopefully the wig won't be awfully big on my girl... I'm very pedantic about what kind of wig I want for her and haven't been able to find the exact same style that I got in any other size ^^;

 

Out of the four 8-9 size wigs I've got two fit my Bianca fine and two are really big so I would say it depends on the wig really.

 

For sure, I have a 8-9 on my Bianca right now too, but I tried an 8-9 on at a meet from some other company and it didn't work.

 

I just bought a few things from Crobidoll and they fit pretty well. I bought a 7-8 wig and though it is a tight fit, it fits well. I prefer my wigs fit tighter anyway, but it is a bit of a stuggle to get on. However, I think it looks great on. I also bought a the galaxy tank top and while it does fit, it is definitely loose. It is wearable and might fit better on a bigger busted girl. (mine is a medium bust) I also bought the acro skirt in black and I think it fits great.

And from Iplehouse I have my girl in the SID Ashley dress which fits well and the SID grunge leggings which are a perfect fit. Otherwise I bought a 8-9 wig (#56) and it fits great as well as the nYID hoodie in grey which is a perfect fit.

 

RE: Wigs

I just buy 8/9 wigs for my Bianca. I got her the Iplehouse 8/9 wig, which obviously fit, but I've tried a 7/8 Leeke wig on her and it would not go on or stay on her head. Granted, this was a short Leeke wig, which means it didn't have an elastic cap - so the longer Leeke wigs with elastics may fit. But the short ones were definitely not going to stay on, unless you're a wizard of stretching things (and it just didn't seem worth the trouble).

The exact measurement of Bianca's head circumference is 20.5 cm. Which is pretty close to the 21 cm measurement that Iple gives you - and it's almost exactly 8 inches in circumference (8.1 really), so... Which size it'll fit is really up to the company.
