What fits Iplehouse nYID girls?

Jun 1, 2012

    1. Thanks Troublestar! SD13 girl flats will fit too that doesn't seem right XD. I have a pair of sd13 boy shoes (did not see they were sd13 boy size =_=) so that's great.

Can anyone tell me if Rexy can wear a non stretchy 8 inch wig?

    2. ok so I know Iple has the YID listed as an 8-9 wig but will that be too big on my Bianca? I'm looking at this one and I'm scared to get it and have it slipping off her head:

      Anyone have any suggestions?

    3. Sloane (nyid rexy) wears 8-9 and they fit just fine :)

    4. Ah, Emilia is using the Iplehouse wig that came with her but all of my 8~9 wigs won't fit. Is Iplehouse's 8~9 size different?

    5. Does anyone know if the Krita set for SID (linked below) would fit on an nYID medium bust? I feel like it ought to be close.... I know the same set is also available for EID but I thought SID would be a closer fit.

    6. This thread needs to come back to life! My Rexy needs clothes! :)

I tried this outfit from Sadol in the Love60 size on my girl (medium breast)-- it fits very well, maybe just a little tight, but it zipped all the way in the back!

    7. Are there any seamstresses out there? If so, patterns drafted on large bust Elfdoll girls will fit nYID medium bust girls. That means patterns by Gracefaerie will fit. Patterns by Adams-Harris should fit. (My Audrey has not yet tried any of the clothes I made from them.) Patterns by MHD Designs will not fit, because they were drafted on a small bust Elfdoll. They might, however, fit small bust nYID girls.

Here is MB Audrey wearing a dress adapted from Gracefaerie's Takeshita Dori pattern. It's a Lolita style dress, but I omitted the sleeves and all the lace to make it more mainstream. There was no fiddling with size. It's a perfect fit.

    8. Wow, Vermont chick great news! Thanks so much for letting us know about this! And thanks for the picture, too. Shows how well the outfit fits her. Wow, I think I'll go peruse Gracefairie patterns right now.

      Have a wonderful day!

    9. THANK you, VermontChick!! That is indeed very useful and wonderful news! I've made my girl a few outfits but accommodating those curves is tricky and pattern drafting is not my thing at all. I already have a couple SD patterns from Adams Harris-- her 1920s dresses-- so I will see what I can come up with this weekend. And I just unearthed the Takeshita-dori pattern from my pattern drawer; I bought it last year and never used it. That dress in your pic fits like a glove! I am so excited now!! (bounces off to Gracefaerie's website)

    10. Oh! I have resized an Adams Harris MSD pattern, Wonderland, to fit nYID. Resize to 140% and it fits nYID medium bust and SD16 (tad loose on SD16, 135% might work better?). 130% resize fits Feeple60s/Delfs. I'll try to scrounge up some pictures and add them in later!

    11. I should add one caveat about the above-mentioned patterns. I doubt some of the narrower skirted patterns will accommodate those hips. I still have a lot of clothing I need to try on Audrey, things I made for my Elfdolls over the years.

Adams-Harris also has some patterns drafted on the old YID girls. Those don't fit medium bust nYID. Small bust? Maybe?

    12. Well. I just tried on a dress I made from this pattern, and it fits my medium bust girl pretty well. The bodysuit is made of stretch fabric, and the fit of the dress is good.

Edit: here is the dress, and the coat too from an Adams Harris pattern sized for the old YID. The coat is meant to fit generously so I imagine it would fit lots of sizes. The dress fits like a glove!

    13. That looks really cute on her, Sylphide. I've been admiring that pattern. I might just have to buy it.

I'll have to re-try the dress I made from the Annabelle pattern on my girl. The first time she tried it on, it wouldn't go over her hips. Could be my seams were a little too generous.

    14. Could someone try to put cherry blossom set on nYID girl? I like the set very much, but I don't sure if it fits my nYID girl. I hope it could fit girl with large or glamour bust well enought and I would be very pleased if someone could take such photo.

      Thank you!

I had this dress lying around when I got my girl and it fits rather well. The jacket is too small, you can get it on but it greatly reduces mobility. The top part is stretchy and although my girl is small bust I would bet it could fit medium or perhaps even large.

Shoes are http://www.leekeworld.com/En/Product/p_view.asp?it_code=727&B_catalog_num=29 in the largest size, and they required a bit of wriggling but JUST fit without any socks or leggings.

    16. I hope I am posting this in the correct thread.

I wrote Freedom Teller and asked about having them make clothes for the nYID body. I sent along the measurements from the Iplehouse website. They are willing to make the pants and trench coats for this body for the cost of the actual listing, plus $10. But they will not make jackets or tops. They want things to fit and without owning the doll, they say it would be too difficult.

So, if you want the pants or trench coats they sell for either the SD16 or SID girls, then they will do it for you.

Nice to know but I wanted a jacket! That means I have to tackle it. I cannot blame them. I would never attempt sewing for a doll if I did not have the doll right there to try it on a zillion times!

    17. Hi Dollswest. Someone who has nYIDs told me that she uses SID clothes for hers. So while I was thinking about it I compared the SID measurements to the nYID and the main difference in the length of the doll is in the legs - the waist to toe length. Just a thought for you.

      Have a great day!

    18. dollswest, I bought a SID dress with my nYID Olivia. It fits pretty well in waist and hips, but is a little wider in shoulders. You can see by yourself here:
