1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What if our dolls had Jointed Fingers?

Feb 21, 2006

    1. I've seen hands like these, and they took a while to grow on me. I used to have this obsession about not liking to see the joints - I always covered them up in photos of my dolls or edited them later - so seeing a hand that was nothing BUT joint, put me off. Now they've grown on me, but I wouldn't want them for every one of my dolls. I think it'd have to go especially with the character. I currently have two Abio Angels with dreadfully undetailed "noodle" fingers, but even them, I don't know if I could do the jointed fingers. Just wouldn't fit with them :/ Lol! That seems to make no sense, but I swear in my brain it does!

    2. Not a big fan of the jointed hands that I've seen mainly because of the looks. I've seen DD compatible bodies (Arte Tokio or something like that) which are fully enclosed and use wire to bend. But I also hear that wires are prone to breaking over time, so haven't been too tempted by them.

But the real answer to the question of "What if our dolls had Jointed Fingers?" is:

you'd no longer have to IMAGINE that only one finger is sticking up.

    3. I'd love to have jointed hands for my girl!! but I haven't any...:(
