1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is holding you back from having your dream collection?

Feb 7, 2024

    1. For me, it's definitely a combination of money and how specific my vision for certain things is. Trying to compromise on the vision due to the lack of what I'm looking for is hard. I know I could commission stuff but that costs quite a bit of money as well so, in the end, it all circles back to funds lol
I'm working through it slowly. I have everyone in a roulette wheel so it picks for me who I should be focusing the time/money on so I don't overwhelm myself with how much I need to do still.

    2. Money & Time

Now that I know the next six dolls I have planned, money and time. While I could take money out of my savings and buy those dolls, that would be stupid on my part, and I like having my little nest egg to fall back on, so, I can only order a doll every couple of months or so if I want to keep my financial safety net.

It's a matter of getting the ones I want to round my photo story out in the upcoming seasons. I really wish I could just order them all at once, but it's just not possible. I have to wait.

    3. The dolls I go for are mostly at the highest price range. Plus I'm very picky with esthetics, so if I condlude that I can't get a sculpt to look exactly the way I envision, I won't buy it. I've had to many " regret" purchase. I know what I like, and what I don't. I'd rather really enjoy 1 or 2 really beautiful dolls vs 10 that I bought with a lot of compromise.
