1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is the most positive thing that has ever happened to you in the hobby?

Dec 18, 2014

    1. Since I havent really been long in this hobby I don't have so many stories. But right now that I can remeber is that as soon I wrote on one group about bjd's in my coutry a friend I know that had dolls but found out I liked bjds too so she asked if I wanted to help making a bjd convention. So I said yes.

    2. My answer's a bit off the wall, the best thing I've taken from this hobby is a skill I couldn't harness elsewhere - patience. I was always into art and producing it, my urge to make beautiful dolls into my own and the research involved taught me a lot I wasn't willing to learn about from the different angle prior to dolls. :)

    3. Being in this hobby allowed me to express myself in another form, that I am beyond grateful for. I never really had a passion outside of cooking before. Being in this community has a sense of belonging. Although, I barely know anyone! HAHA

    4. I have always sewn, but finding BJDs made me SO HAPPY because they are perfect to sew for. They look gorgeous in everything I make them!
I have made a very dear close friend in the hobby, when I attended a doll meet at her house.
I LOVE attending doll meets!!! What could possibly be more fun than a room full of women and dolls, talking about dolls like rabid squirrels, and eating lots of sweets?
Nothing else in my life has been such a catalyst for inspiring my art work as BJDs. I love painting them, clothing them, and making them props and wigs.
....And I just plain love playing with my dolls, sometimes I spend hours just looking at them, twitching their little hands or feet into new positions.

    5. I think meeting wonderful people because of dolls have been such a positive experience for me. I've met some wonderful people both online and in person.
I tend to be a bit of an introvert/home body but I really look forward to our monthly meetups! Everyone is super sweet and helpful, I learn something new everytime. It's also nice to have local people to do the occasional group order with.

Other than that... I love how this hobby allows me to be creative in so many ways :)
