What is your grail doll?

When I started into the hobby I was overwhelmed by all the choices, I fell in love with several... MANY different sculpts. But because price was a factor I made myself take the time to study up on these dolls and found out there's much more to them than a pretty face sculpt. After that I looked specifically for a doll that had a certain look about her. I found the Dollstown Ariel. She's my grail doll. She was my first doll and remains the favored. DT discontinued her sculpt for a while but by popular demand brought it back. I now have three of her sculpt (one is a floating head at the moment).
But my original remains my "grail" doll and always will. I swear I'll be buried with that doll.

 

mine would be bluefairy's alice as she's so adorable and pretty. i'd say shes at a decent price range like other 1/3 dolls. however i'd love to have a volks doll one day^^

 

A Mecha Angel Antares for sure. But I doubt I'll be able to get one before the site is closed in the fall, and when they say they're bringing them back on Soom I don't know if that means they'll be the same? Ah well...

 

My grail doll has to be Cerisedolls' Constantine, I feel in love with her mysterious and unusual face instantly! I am so very lucky to finally have one, she will definetly never leave this house now!

She's my Grail Doll! She's a Volks F-32 one off. I'd been looking for a F-32 for years, but she was Sato only and not very popular. I think she's available at Volks USA now, but I found this one on Mandrake's website (a second hand toy and hobby shop in Japan). Her price was way less than what I was expecting and I snapped her up as soon as I saw her. Her name is Valentine; she was a one off offered at a Valentine's Day event at one of the Sumika stores. I was so excited when she was on her way, then I shook and giggled as I opened her up. For a long time I just held her and grinned. There's nothing like getting a very special doll after years of searching and saving!

 

Mine was a limited edition, I have 2 grail dolls and I managed to buy one of them LE in the first version they released, brand new! (She is a Bluefairy TF Olive V, picture in my sig)
But my other Grail doll is the open eyed version of the same doll, I'd like the limited edition 'Chocolate' misty rose skin Olive that seems impossible to find anything about. But I'd probably be just as happy with the normal skin default version that I could buy brand new from the company! I'll get one when the right 'Olive' comes along.

 

Asyd was the first grail that I got my hands on. He has the saltiest frown and I love it, but I don't think he picked up many fans looking like that. When he was up on the marketplace I snapped him up, since then I think there's only been one or two for sale. Pretty sure that if I hadn't jumped then, I wouldn't have one now.

Before Asyd, there was Peroth. I was absolutely in love when he was still being released, but never got him. His sharp duck bill look was a bit too much, and I was afraid to sand it down so I gave up on getting him. In his re-release sculpt the duck bill was no more, so I wanted him again. Of course I missed the seven day window, so when I was poking around the MP and saw him I bought him, fast.

Fairyland's Minifees seem to be the only type of doll that I would buy as of now. They just appeal to my taste a lot. ^^

 

I'm one of those lucky people that managed to clear their grail doll list. For me that used to be my narrow-eyed triad, my Crobidoll Daydream Lance, Switch Seoha and Immortality of Soul Chaos. The first I found for an incredibly good deal -so much I couldn't believe it- from a reliable seller overseas, so since I had the money I indulged in a heartbeat. The second I managed to snatch modded from a seller within the EU -which is an uncommon small blessing for me as I don't have to worry about customs striking me- and I sent him off for further mods as I planned to do that anyway in the first place. My penultimate grail, my Chaos, managed to elude me for two long years. The first time he was released I learned of him three days after his sale had ended, the second time I had no money. A couple heads that showed up in the marketplace were snatched up before I could even contact the seller and the one I was once offered was through a rather shady deal I couldn't trust. At long last a most wonderful lady here on DoA found my want to buy thread for him and offered to sell him to me. When he came home I almost flipped, I had to open him as soon as I made it to my university as I picked him up on my way there and proceeded to squeal like a silly person in front of everyone. All in all a very happy ending.

The new doll that has attained grail status currently is the Dollfie Dream Sister Mariko-sensei which I hope to be able to bring home eventually. uvu

My grail is Migidoll Cho. He's the first doll I fell in love with and sadly I haven't gotten him yet. I always seem to be getting waylaid by buying other things but I've gone and made a separate account so I can put money away for him and not spend it ^^ I'm just a bit nervous for when I do finally get him because him for so long and I really don't love any other sculpt out there as much as I love him and all I can think about is 'what if I don't bond with him?'

 

I have 2 right now...and they are sapping the life force out of me. >___<"

I am really, really wanting the Ringdoll Frankenstein. I was so upset I couldn't get him the first time around, and I am saving for him. Then I just spotted a Soom Sard for sale...he was my first love. So I am desperately hoping I can balance things out to hopefully get them both. :I

Though...right now it looks like I can only get one. Unless I can sell more things and get extra funds to get both.

I am very new to this, but right now my grail doll is yo-tenshi Una. So beautiful!

 

I'm also very new to this and haven't even received my first doll yet, but my grail is Soom Beryl - Neverending Dream. Amazing!

 

My grail doll is a little Monica enrill becuase he's a beautiful sculpt and I do plan on getting him ASAP and my other grail doll is a luts cp delf shine which has the largest eyes I've seen on a doll I like and I'm excited to try to get one of them soon

 

The one that I saw and had to have no matter what was Ringdolls LE Carlos. I have him now and stare at him everyday as I just find him so beautiful. The one I want but have not yet got would be Soom Sabik.

 

My grail doll, well there are a few...
However, most of them have yet to be actually offered, nor are most of them likely to be offered...sadly.

1a. Volks MSD Kohaku, in Ebony skin.

My top two grail dolls

3. A Volks SDGr13 Kohaku, with the exact same face sculpt as the MSD Kohaku, just SDGr13 sized. Preferably in pureskin or whatever they call that color now.

4. A new Volks doll. It would be a SDGr17. Slightly taller than SDGr13, but with the same type build. Not muscular like the SDGou body. The head would have a definite Anime face sculpt, a slightly older and more mature looking one than the Kohaku face sculpt. The eyes would still be cat shaped but narrower. The nose should be less upturned, but still pointy, and not realistically sculpted.
The mouth, small with thin lips, neither smiling nor frowning. The face should be longer and narrower than Kohaku's as well, but still have a pointed chin. A Sensei for my SDGr13 Kohaku!

 

I'm gonna get my grail doll this year...Zaoll Luv.

And although I would typically only consider unobtainable dolls my grails, I suppose you could say Doll Love Arefa, my first doll, is also a grail. I'm aiming for a couple more soon ;P
