What is your grail doll?

My grail doll is the Iplehouse Zera but as a custom Y.I.D not the size she comes in normally She is the most amazing beautiful perfect doll and I love her so much I'm willing to save and pay more to get her in the 60cm size rather than the 65cm size 65 is just to big for a girl for me lol

 

my holy grail doll was actually the first doll i got - an iplehouse SID Claude. so im pretty happy with that since he's my favourite doll sculpt and has been for a long while.

 

I was lucky enough to get my grail doll. He's my Chiron - Souldoll Zenith Centaur in white skin. My next grail doll would be a Cyclops. Just wish I knew a company that did one.

 

Whoo hoo! My littlefee Luna grail doll is now being made and will home hopefully just after my birthday in November. Now, I just have to lose my 70 or so pounds to get my other grail doll, Iplehouse Luo.

I would say a grail doll is one you would desire above all others even if price and availability were no object. For some people that does mean a limited, very expensive or discontinued doll, but some people happen to fall in love with a more easily available one. However, no matter how much a person may love a certain doll that might be easier to get, I think the word "grail" indicates that there has to be SOME sort of struggle or search to obtain it.

And if you're not really pining for one that's out of your reach, that's great! Enjoy being content.

 

I haven't been in the hobby long enough to truly have a grail doll, but I really want a Dollfie Dream (Alright, more like a billion of them XD) and the Kid Delfs Coco and Mango (Mainly the boys... Especially the Mango).

 

My grail doll is a VOLKS Myu. She's absolutely precious and it's been years since I decided I wanted her, but I just want her more now than ever. She's $400, but I also have to save money to buy a new wig and eyes and shoes, since I'm hand making her clothes. I guess she's in the middle in terms of dolls prices? I always thought your dream doll had to be some huge, expensive doll that was limited and you might never get them. But, it just turned out pretty simple for me, I guess

 

My grail doll at the moment would have to be an Iplehouse Asa head on a Soom Super Gem female body in white skin. In my mind she would be the ultimate doll, and a beautiful hybrid, though I'm not certain I'll ever find the funds (and luck) to add her to my collection. Keeping my fingers crossed though!!

 

Ahhh man! For a few years I've had 2 grail dolls- Homme Ducan fullset and Dollti Dong-e. I had no idea so many people had the same grail dolls as me! Ducan, i think i could pull off. Dong-e? Probably not.

 

Grail doll? One? I have always have more than one. And most of them I own by now. And yes, they are all LE - that is the reason why they were so more difficult to get, and that is why they are "grail dolls" for me. And they are all by the same company, Soom. The first of my grails - Mylo - I was lucky to get secondhand just a few months after the first release, and she was the first doll I was rather crazy about. Then, there were Sard, Shoshon and Cuprit - it took a couple of years, but luckily, Soom did the FC events, and that was the solution. Another "grail" - Soom Amber - I just welcomed home recently, bought on the MP. When I got her, I understood that she is the biggest grail of all for me - I have never felt so much happiness about a doll as I do about my Amber. And I know I need more of this same sculpt. Thanks to a dear doll friend here in Germany, as I will soon buy her Amber from her, I am getting another one in white, from the original release! I couldn't be happier. So, I could say I am a really lucky person as I got almost all my grail dolls so far.

But you know how it is - once you get something, you get new ideas what to get next?... I have new ideas for "grails" forming in my head already (Bronze Cuprit, anyone? LOL).

 

After acquiring my triad of vaguely possible grails (IoS Chaos, Switch Seoha, Crobidoll Lance Daydream) I only have one and that's quite impossible and probably will always be. It's a little silly to lust after a doll you won't ever get (I've never seen one sold ever nor have I seen any members with him around)... so yea... ^ ^; I'm quite helpless... eep.

 

Right now I'm pining over Pipos Beige Ringo.... not quite the same as many other grail dolls out there. I'm hoping that someday Pipos will re-release Ringo in a rainbow of colors, like they recently did with the cheese mouse.

 

My grail doll is actually many. But there's like one of them I guess and it's a Volks Lieselotte, Volks DD Saber Extra and Rise Kujikawa, and Dollmore Lusion and Trinity. I don't expect at them to be in my future bjd family. For me, Volks Lieselotte and Charlotte are my grail dolls including Chii, Bianca, Luna, Miruku and Lorina!

As of right now, don't know if this will change in the future, my grail doll is Volks Charlotte. I just won her on the Volks USD lottery and I am so excited to get her in the mail at the end of the year. It is indeed a super expensive doll, I almost debated on buying a 2nd hand one but thank god Volks re-released the doll so I ended up getting both Charlotte and Lieselotte. Hopefully Charlotte will continue to be my grail doll.

 

AoD Bo was my big one, and he is currently in my closet. I suppose 5Stardoll Aiden in Redskin was also a big one, I wanted him bad when he was released but figured I would never get him due to the limited nature of his color. He's on my shelf. If I had to pick a grail doll now it would be two of the big Dollmore dolls... One of the Trinity line and one of the Lusion line. I try not to go look though, especially in case they add new sculpts in those lines... They are very expensive but very amazing and I need them both so I can figure out who would best fit as my Bo's girlfriend.

My grail doll is Iplehouse Carina! I have wanted her for the longest time but somehow I never end up getting her! This might defeat the purpose if a grail doll, but I would consider getting an Iplehouse Stella or Jessica instead too...I guess I just really want a big Iplehouse girl! As far as dolls I already own, my Soom Dia was a grail doll before I bought him and Fairyland Minifee Chloe was the doll I would always want and never get because I only collect SD sized dolls...however, when they released the Feeple60s I bought her right away!
