After looking for so good amount of time, finally i got them. Ren was my easy to find grail doll but my first girl and the one that always go first to meet all the others. She is my main doll. Renee took a lot of time and Ian, even worst to find her as a kit like i wanted from the beginning.

Now, one thing interesting is that we might say that after looking for our grail dolls and found them, we won't be buying more babies, that's a hard thing but something i can guarantee is that my grail doll search finally came to an end after 6-12 years.

 

I just got another one... *sigh* Even less likely than the IH Arvid.

I doubt I'll ever be able to drop $1000+ on a doll, though.

 

Up until last Sunday, it was Volks Reisner (2011 Cruise edition). I didn't buy him at IDEX because I wanted to save for Ryoma Sakamoto instead, which meant someone else got to buy one there. I second-guessed myself for quite a while afterwards, but the doll karma finally paid off and I nabbed him on Mandarake. He arrived yesterday and I couldn't be happier with him. He's perfect!

 

Volks Alice. Yeah, I doubt I'll ever be able to afford her. xP

 

It might thrill you to know that mine wasn't terribly expensive (compared to other sculpts) or a Limited Edition. (Even though I do own a Limited Edition doll as well.)

I do have him, and he's still as gorgeous as ever. (And in case you're curious, he was just over $230 with shipping.)

Congratulations! I hope she'll be everything you ever hoped for when you get her!

And if you have her already, then I still hope she was everything you hoped for.

 

I'm too tired to read through all 19 pages right now, but...mine would be IH Claude. And since the new Addiction version came out this month, it has been bumped up. Even if I can't manage to get my hands on vampire/demon Claude, I'll still get him in the CDS. Claude may be at the top of my list right now but he wouldn't be complete with a CDS Mari on a nYID body. Then there is a ridiculous list of other dolls from different companies to fit the other characters from their world.

 

I have a couple:
The big one is Volks Suigintou, Shes a real "here's the limb you require for payment" doll; but that face is just so wonderful.
Even just getting her head alone would be amazing.


Volks Megu is the other. Megu was the first doll I ever wanted, and at the time I was in no position to be able to get her with where I was living. Now my living situation is fine but I can't afford her.
One day living situation & finances will line up and I will be able to get her.



...And Souldoll Grey. They discontinued the doggy that looks exactly like my real doggy!

 

Uhm, I think I already have my grail doll!
He's brand new! I was lucky enough to come by the money shortly after I discovered him so I didn't have to go through a long anxious period of wanting and dreaming and saving. lol Now that I have him, I feel very complete and at ease. There are other dolls that I want, but not quite like this.
He is a Spirit Doll Celtis! He has it all: looks, personality, and posing! He probably has the perfect face I could ever ask for in a man lol. And a very nicely sulpted body. His joints lock into place firmly and he is a strong poser and very strong and balanced while standing! He pretty much satisfies all of my fantasies for pretty boys (I know that sounds creepy, but it's not really lol). I don't have any complaints about this company's dolls at all! I recommend them. Right now, I don't have any need to buy another doll from Spirit Doll, but I like their dolls so much that I sort of want to get another one just because they are very nice dolls!!! But I have to pace myself and wait until there is a need LOL.

 

Mine would have to be Satyne by Enaibi, Arielle by Enaibi, or Okaeri by La Tarte Au Citron, but sadly I'll most likely never receive one since they only sell them at Ldoll Fesitval in France

 

Soom Vega Last Song. I love the Vega head sculpt. I need him. Badly.

Fortunately he's not unaffordable since the Mecha Angel bodies are wildly unpopular. I'm putting some money aside each month for now, and then -- the hunt begins!

Soom Sabik/Dia and Iplehouse Claude are my grail dolls but I was finally able to get IH Claude someday I'll have Soom Dia too!

My grail doll has been a Leekeworld Mikhael, He was the instigator in to this hobby, I have his head he just needs a body and someone to give him a face up.

The problem is Iplehouse keep bringing out so many jaw dropping dolls he gets pushed to the back of the to do list.

And as soon as I find a face up artist who's work I am blown away by, they close!

 

Luts SDF Karis is my grail doll. He's the one who lit the BJD fire for me. I am hoping to buy him in about a month's time because I apparently have no self-control and just cannot stop looking at his beautiful face!

I'm sure I will have more grail dolls to add to the list as I immerse myself into BJDs. (Why does Iplehouse have to make such gorgeous dolls?!)

 

I don't have a grail doll anymore. I've been remarkably lucky in getting all of the dolls I've "had" to have, save one...the Supia 60. She was the first doll released by the artist, in a batch of only 20, and nearly impossible to get. I longed for her for a very, very long time, and there's no doubt that she was my grail. When one finally did pop up for sale though, I realized I'd have to sell one of my dolls to finance her or pass her up.

The moment I realized I loved my crew and couldn't sell one of them to bring her home, she lost her status as "the doll" and became less important to me. She hasn't been on my active wishlist in years and I doubt I'll be able to ever find one, and I'm totally okay with that.

For me, Supia 60 will always be a fond memory, and a reminder to myself to treasure what I have!

 

I don't think I've quite found my grail "doll" yet, but I've certainly found my grail body x3 The Doll Chateau A-body-03 is definitely a must have for me, but I can't quite find a grail head (or even one a like much at all, really...) to go with the body >.<

I was never able to pay $800+ all at once through the CDS system so I thought I was never going to get him but Iplehouse had the wonderful idea to release Claude again as a special edition again! which would let some poor people order with layaway...like me =D

 

My first Grail Doll was Elfdoll Soah. I fell in love with her the first time I saw her. It took me several years to get her, and she did not disappoint me.

Then after that- my Grail Doll became Customhouse's Saint Mina. You don't see too many of these dolls and I love her so much (she is the doll from the movie Doll Master). Then the other day a friend of mine sent me a link to an ebay auction for one. I REALLY can't afford her right now- husband just had heart surgery six weeks ago and we have a massive amount of medical bills. But....I couldn't pass her up.

So she is now on her way home to me and I am SO excited!

 

My grail doll is actually the doll I am wanting to make my first, but now that I am in a position to buy a doll, I may have to select another sculpt since I may get tired of waiting. My grail is an MSD Shiwoo Elf. I think it was a limited edition, but I could be wrong on that. Although, I have started to waffle on what size doll I want for my first. Before I thought an SD was too big, but after seeing others at a recent meet, I think it might be ok.
