What is your grail doll?

IO-Wind Walker From Soom. It's actually the doll that got me into the hobby.

I didn't get one when I saw him, because I wasn't the one in charge of finances at the time (for good reason too :P), but I stalked BJDs in general and joined this forum (before it was invite only).

But yeah, back on track, he's the one that if I saw him again for sale (second hand of course, he was a limited), I would swipe him, no problem. I love both his scar face and his normal one. ~_~ guhh, so pretty.

 

My grail doll is Iplehouse Asa, and a eluts Delf Yuri :3

 

Hmm... going by unattainable, DoD's Elf-Ducan would be my Grail Doll. Missed him the first time, and had no money when the made the other event... However, the human version is just as great, and that one is sitting in on my shelf :3

 

My grail doll is Lilith with Gray skin from Doll Leaves. I love her so much. ♥

 

I want to say I do not have a grail doll, and then I remember, think about, Angel Region's Prode of Jocker Ren. He was a limited addition doll sold before I was in the hobby. He was also one of the first dolls I ever saw a picture of that made me want one. Granted I know I could buy a Ren and paint it or have someone give it a face-up just like the PoJ Ren but he would still be missing the outfit that makes a Ren a Prode of Jocker Ren.

The only other doll that comes close to be being a grail doll for me is a Doll in Mind Danbi but really the only thing that is stopping me from buying one is not being able to save or justify spending the money on him. He is a fairly available sculpt.

 

Mine is Bactro by Mewiefish....ahhh I will probably never ever actually own one, but I still love to drool over photos. To me, Bactro is one absolutely amazing doll! And I feel like I haven't run into anything else quite like her.

 

I had to add Soom Arkose, in Light Violet skin, to my list. :3 I'm also keeping a lookout for white-skin Luts Lu-Wen heads with company make-up.

 

I don't know if I really have a grail doll yet. I do really love the Grey & Ace Wind Elf dolls by Soom (those cute little fox feet! ) and I know if I had been into dolls when they were released I would have bought Grey in a heartbeat. But at the same time, I'm not really pining after him either? I mean, if I come across one for a decent price in the marketplace, I'll consider it.

I'd also like to get B&G's Sapphira though I think he's still available so I'm not too much in a rush to get him. Watch him be discontinued the moment I decide to get him though, haha. (knock on wood)

 

My original grail was AR Ren, the doll that got me into the hobby (seems we have something in common, mymel0dy). He was discontinued by the time I actually decided I was ready to get a doll, but by some miracle, he was put up on ebay the night I was about to settle for another sculpt. So I bought him.

I didn't have a grail after that until I saw a Sweet Gale Cyril. Now I've gotta find one, if it kills me. @__@ He's so pretty I can't stand it.

Mine was the DollZone Cloud, silent crying inside when he was discontinued. It was luck that, when plodding around ebay I found one, listed as new old stock, from Junkyspot, been sitting in their warehouse since being made in 2007 and had been discovered and put up for sale. So I now have him ^^

That is not to say I still do not have one, and it would be the Angel of Dream Jimi. Adore them to pieces, but I do not actually know what character to make of him yet. I'll work it out some day and probably get hold of him ^^

 

For Dollfie Dream, I think the dolls I would call grail dolls are Sasara and Saber Lily.

I think I need more pictures but for SD/SDGrG I would pick Belldandy.

Grail dolls are dolls that I would love their default face-up and clothes.

 

I guess mine is nothing unusual. I've wanted a Unoa Lusis ever since I first got into the hobby but have just never taken the plunge. One day. I'm almost scared to actually go ahead and buy one.. like, will that be my *final* doll? Will she finally satisfy me? haha.

 

I've been pining for a boy Feeple60 Luka NS >w< I love him muchly!
I keep changing my mind about Delfs Miyu and Soony...But I think Miyu is now a firm want as I finally thought of a character for her that suits :3 (darn it xD)

 

My grail doll would currently be Ringdoll Amethyst! Technically I could get him if I saved up enough, he's not terribly expensive, but still pretty expensive. I'm thinking of taking the plunge and just buying him already. Ringdoll has an event going until the end of the month, so I'd be able to get a free tiny with him. But even though I want him really bad, and I find myself comparing all other sculpts to him, something's holding me back. But I'd still consider him my grail doll since I'm currently obsessed with him in a way I haven't ever been with another doll.

 

To be honest, mine are keep on changing. But the dolls that never leave my mind are Dollgru09, which originally was the reason I got into this hobby, and Volks Reisner+Cecile duo.
Well, I've already owned 09, left only the duo which I really couldn't afford them right now (I think I could afford Cecile at some point, but Reisner's price in secondhand market is such a nightmare come true LOL) But I promise myself I'll get them someday though, so that I can finally finish my collection.

 

My grail doll(s) has to be Doll Chateau - Stacy in white skin, and Lillycat Cerisedolls - Lyse in cream skin.
I love their unusual shapes.

 

Great question. My grails change over time and as new dolls come out. I'm lucky to already own a couple of them (Iplehouse Stella, Dexter). Problem is each time I get one, another one appears! My latest hope is to someday acquire one of the Soom Supergem Centaurs ... Zinc or Hornblender or a similar one that they might come out with.

A Delf/Feeple 60 Miyu. I had her before but I sold her since I was such a newbie in the hobby and I didn't know what to do with her. Also because of college! Now, I want her back!
