What is your grail doll?

My girl grail is Kinoko Juice Kiki but I've heard the artist is collaborating with AZONE to cast her? And for the boys it's Rosetta Doll's Zio head. I have the perfect character for him but I can't find him anywhere. I'll just have to hunt ebay [emoji36]

 

Definitely Iplehouse Ashanti (ebony). She's so breathtaking and perfect for one of my characters, and it's so nice to see dolls that don't look ambiguously white--basically what I'm saying is that I love that Ashanti has a non-European-esque facial structure If only she weren't so expensive and I weren't a student OTL

 

My dream doll is an SQ-lab 1/3 body with a Haruka head with factory faceup. Im back in the hobby after being obsessed with anime for a few years and realizing the anime style dolls are to die for I'll be shelling out $400-$500 for the doll and two heads in Febuary probably. I plan on purchasing wigs, clothing, stockings and shoes before I order her. She would be my third doll.
I had a Bobobie sprite or something (pictured) and a dollzone fox yeaaaars ago and I did not bond well. I will not settle for cheap this time I want to bond with her as soon as I take her out of the box !! i want to smell the resin and dress her up and find her persona ! 3
I was in grade 8 when i purchased my first doll. I'm an adult now and want my grail doll so bad!!!
I'm so scared i will not be able to contact a dealer or SQ lab so purchase the products, And i have no clue how to Pre order :c

I own one of my grail dolls, she is and SQ LABS SG body with Haruka head. I have always been absolutely in love with the detail and curves that her body has. She is gorgeous and I'm happy I own her But my ultimate/expensive grail doll would be a Fairyland FeePle65 Chloe Elf or a Smart Doll by Danny Choo

 

I'm lucky enough that my first Must Have doll was the one I got (and still own) - a Souldoll Paris. The other doll that has remained a grail doll since 2006/7 is the tanned Volks Scarface Cecil. In a perfect world, he would be modded to have both eyes open. Well, one can wish!

 

I would love to own a Dust of Dolls Puns. Sadly, they are no longer making her, but a girl can dream

I have two grails, They are Ringdoll Zombie Sol and Soom Cheshire. I've always wanted these two but by the time I actually picked which dolls I was going to buy, they were sold out.

I am actually lucky enough to own my grail doll, even though getting him was another matter a Luts Delf Lu Wen! I just missed him when he went out of stock and then I had to wait for three years to get my hands on him due to a deal gone bad! Thankfully I actually managed to get my money back and find a seller here who was very sweet and got it to me real quick!

 

My first Grail was also my first BJD purchase, Volks Isao V2! It happened within the first week of joining DoA, and he had his default eyes still. It was just the head and eyes, and it took me a while to get him a body, but he makes me so happy still, 9.5 years later.

My other three Grails are a Volks Tohya (I would love a V1 fullset of him...), Volks Tony unmodded and with his original face-up, and a Volks Yo-SD Isao.

I have two grail dolls, I have always wanted a DollZone kimi since I first found out about this hobby. I was actually really upset that they discontinued her sculpt, but I am hoping to get into the market place soon to try and find her second hand.

I also really love Doll Chateau's Alberta on a bella body, I think that is my current goal of things I can get on my own.

Gosh I love those girls though and wish I could get them.

My grail doll was Serendipity Noel, I loved her since when I first got into the hobby. The sort of thing that makes you wish "When I get enough money, I'll surely get it!"
Unfortunately it took me years to save up enough and she went out of production in the meantime...

Then I joined DoA and short after writing in the marketplace I found one! And she's a default just like I wanted

 

In my origional post a while ago, I mentioned my first grail, a Dollshe Saint, which I now have.
The other grail is Unoa Zero unassembled kit, which I haven't been able to get yet.
BUT, I found the ultimate grail and fell totally IN LOVE.

This is artist Marina Bychkova, carrying the One of Kind Enchanted Doll Gloriana, which she made.


I believe she is 3 feet tall or so?
I don't think I can ever afford her, but I did inquire with the artist to see if she is going to make this one available in resin (she has some of the smaller Enchanted dolls available in resin). Who knows. I might have an inheritance someday :P Here is more info about Gloriana.

I think my grail doll is hyperon from soom, but it's okay since I have him finally. After that not many sculpt could attract me anymore, my walet is soo lucky!!

 

I know it's stupid, but all I want is a kid delf nana.

 

While I've managed to get a whole bunch of grail dolls I thought I'd missed out on and would never get (Volks Suzuna and Kurenai, OceanMoon ShouRyu, Gomidoll Igon, and now Lovelyhouse Shin-E), I still feel incomplete without at least several more from my wishlist! The ones that are my "grails", that I feel sick that I don't have, are mainly Volks Yu Morisawa and Reisner. There are others that I really want, but if I could only ever purchase two more dolls, it would have to be them. Too bad I can't find any Morisawas at all, and no Reisners for under a couple grand.. >_<;;

 

In 2007, Souldoll came out with a fullset "Street Fighter" Jinwoo. He was only available for a week, if I remember correctly. I didn't have the money at the time, so I waited in vain for Souldoll to re-release him. They never did. He was the biggest "one that got away" for me, my grail doll for years.

I'd resigned myself to having to do without him. He so rarely showed up in the second market, and the few times he did, he often hit over the $1000 mark. When I started this hobby, I set a limit that I wouldn't spend over a $1000 on just a doll, so he remained out of reach. However, recently I found a Jinwoo in the DOA Marketplace for under 1k and was able to finally bring him home!

There are other dolls I would love to have, like a Unoa Zero or a Souldoll Lee Jun Ki. But those, while beautiful, don't fall into that "grail" category for me. I was lucky enough to get my grail doll. It just sometimes takes a LOT of patience and a bit of luck.

 

There are two grail dolls for me :

One of the older Kaye Wiggs' dolls : Pip or Nettle
One of Enaibi's dolls : any of them

But I guess they will remain grail dolls for a long long while
