What is your grail doll?

My grail doll is the Volks F-35. I like to think of a grail doll as one that involves a "quest" of some sort to obtain, such as pining, saving up, searching, and so on (like the search for the holy grail). It makes the process more fun and less painful to me, I hope . I've loved the Volks F35 sculpt for a long time, but it's Sato-only and very hard to find in the second hand market. My quest for my grail doll will just have to continue with me saving and searching

 

I guess you could say I had 2 (sort of). I fell in love with the DoD "Tender Shall" full set for a girl and my 1st grail would have to be DoD Camine, I'd love to have a full set but even just the doll would be nice... I have also fallen for the Iplehouse "Dexter".... he is just to feaking awsome... as long as I can lay my mitts on him.... um ya... I WILL have that sculpt if it kills me ... the body I can wait for but I won't miss out on that awsome expression of his ^^. My addition to my 'grails' reflects my slight change in my doll interest (I am loving the larger dolls now after 6 years).

 

My grail doll is Luts Zuzu Delf Truffle. Not an overly dear one but elusive non the less. I missed out on the original sale of her and I've since discovered she won't be released again as she was a DoA/Luts Anniversary things. But I want her so badly!

 

Now that I have some money, I've decided to continue with part B of obtaining grail doll Williams: getting a body for him. I thought that getting his head would prove difficult, but I've since long decided that the body I want for him has to be a Soom Supergem. A Supergem from 2007 or before (due to resin match).
Finding a Supergem body isn't so hard; there have been plenty in the marketplace the past few months. None of them have ever been as old as I need them to be, however.

... Sometimes I think I enjoy making myself suffer .

 

My grail dolls have always been Soom Adamelli and Bygg. The latest free choice event made it possible to order Adamelli and luckily I was just able to snag Bygg from the market place. So now that I am waiting for both to get here it seems I have to find a new grail doll

 

I would love to get a doll chateau. I love little alberta, and the boy version they did as a limited. Im kicking myself in the butt because I found them right after they closed the ordering for the boy version. He is so adorable !

 

Eh, I reached my first biggest doll goal by getting my Volks Kun way back when, she wasn't limited but at the time a big deal to me (the most expensive thing I'd bought at the time, period). Since then, the most comparable was probably my Lusion Dahlia, again she wasn't limited, but she'll likely always remain the doll I saved for longest and the most expensive member of my crew.

My ultimate wish list dolls that I don't own are a Dollshe Salubia or an old Volks F-07. I doubt I'll ever get either, but it is fun to dream sometimes.

 

I think my current grail doll is to get a Franken Doll of Resinsoul parts. I want a boy (preferably MSD, double jointed body) with each limb/part being casted in a different color of resin ranging from Light tan, to dark tan, to the very pale white....But I'm not sure if they'd even be able to do it...I wanna save up but I'll have to shoot Sun an email asking if it's even possible and a possible estimation.

 

I absolutely LOVE my Iplehouse Leona - I'm amazed at how beautiful she is - and she was the one doll I decided I had to have after looking at all of the dolls I could find.

But if we are talking about dolls that I doubt I'll ever get as the idea of paying second hand prices is distasteful - I'd say maybe - Soom Topaz (morning star & honey dew) and Soom Cylin Foxglove Sprite.

 

My grail doll would be the EID Iplehouse Bichun, I am totally in love with his face He's quite expensive however, and if I had to add the taxe fee and the shipment, plus a wig and an outfit... OMG ! He would cost me a month salary ! I hope one day I'll find him second hand, or else I'll save money for a year and offer me my beloved Bichun

I also like the JID Boris, and I'm having it in one month ! Second hand too, but I don't mine, as long as he's mine

 

I don't have a grail at the moment, since I'm pretty new to BJDs. After looking at many different faces, the one I fell in love with was the Dikadoll Rena and she became my first doll. Now I have my second love, a Doll Leaves Mint, on the way (along with a PKF), yay! Today I was introduced to the MNF Woosoo Vampire Elf girl and I must say I'm quite taken with her. She's currently at the top of my list, along with a LTF Soo Dark Elf. I seem to like a lot of FairyLand dolls, hehe.

 

found one yet, not exacally... but the iplehouse Ashanti in special skin would probably be my choice right now and she isn't limited, and would cost more the then cynthia i wanna get, which now will mean second had as my money situation will not alow me the money for cynthia...

 

... my other is a resinsoul lian,in dark grey, but she would require modifications[fullbody tattoing] and armor before she gets to the stage of my grail doll... the modifications will be expensive...

 

My current grail is a Switch Seoha in NS, I fell in love with the sulpt this year but he was released last year and Switch release all of their sculpts as limited so I will most likely have to find him second hand now unless Switch decided to re-release him for an event (crosses fingers). I have an incoming Soseo in Mocha skin and I need to bring home his pale brother too!

EDIT: I have my Seoha (well just his head), I found him on the marketpalce and had to grab him! He just arrived today and he is beautiful I really wasn't expecting to get Seoha before my Soseo had even arrived lol. Now I just need to get him a body....

 

Urrrgh, I've fallen in love with the fullset of doll chateau alberta... Buying her would take half of what I have in my savings...!

 

I think i own all my grail dolls. I have a Euclase and god i wanted him when i came in to the hobby a year after he was release. other then that i think Yugiri and Okita was grail dolls but i own them to. so only one i have left is Volks Lieselotte....

 

I love Bermanns, but doubt I'd ever be able to save the money up to buy one, so I don't really consider him my grail doll. Probably for me Iplehouse Claude and Felix at present, because I can't bring myself to cross that $500.00 upper limit. As far as unobtainable goes, my one true grail doll is a Limwha Mano Elf. He was the first BJD I ever fell in love with, and I've never seen one other than the sale pictures. I'm not sure anyone on DOA even has one.

 

There are many dolls I like, but probably not one I would consider a grail doll. I have some grail-status lolita outfits, but not specifically doll sculpts I think.

 

May I have two? Because I would love either! I love Iplehouse sculpts and would love to have my very own Elin and also Asa. Now if I ever get spare cash.....well you know they are coming home to me!
