1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What part of the doll customizing process do you DREAD?

Jun 1, 2021

    1. Faceups for me.

Faceups come in such a wide range and styles it’s hard to figure out what I’d really want to see on my dolls. I’ve been through incidences of not being happy with customised faceups from artists, that I had to either painfully wipe them off or sell them away.

Had to eventually take things to my own hands and attempt doing my own faceups. My skills aren’t that great yet and it’s a tough learning curve as compared to other customisation skills involving BJDs, like sewing, wig making, adjusting moulds, and photography.

    2. I dread the day I have to dye or do tattooing on a doll. Dyeing sure I’ve seen some help threads on here and they are helpful it’s still a daunting task ahead that I’m unsure I’m prepared for. Tattooing can be highly intricate while I know people might just use decals I just kind of want to do them as they look wonderful done and also hold alot of weight for some of my ocs that without them it feels wrong.
