1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What size doll do you prefer?

Mar 14, 2025

    1. 1/4 and 1/3!
Clothes look better on 1/3 doll somehow,
but I find 1/4 dolls face sculpt range more interesting.

    2. I like little dolls, 1/6 and smaller. I don't have a lot of living space so they fit better, and it's nice being able to hold your doll in one hand!

    3. I own just about every size (except the really really big guys) but I think my favorite is 1/4. It's the goldilocks zone of dolls for me. Still easy enough to sew for/find clothes for, unlike tinies in my experience, but not too big like a 1/3. Easy to carry around for a while, not too heavy or too possible to lose.

That said, once you have enough of them, the "don't take up as much space" thing kinda goes out the window.

    4. I've handled 1/3s and 1/4s and I prefer how dainty 1/4ths are. They're also a bit easier for me to handle, since I have nerve damage in one of my hands; plus they're easy to pick up and take outside for excursions and photos! 1/3s are really lovely but are just so daunting to me to dress, style, and then take along on a little trip for pictures. But that's just me!

    5. 1/3 for sure! I do like tinies for their portability and they are cute so they are the runner up.

    6. I've always really loved 1/4 and 1/3 dolls, with those making up most of my collection, though more recently I've expanded a bit to other sizes!

Now, I would say that the "Big Baby" 1/4 size is my favourite. I love how chunky they are, and they are a delight to hold and pose. I've also really started to like the versatility of 1/6 scale dolls, after previously swearing I would never start purchasing 1/6 scale dolls because I thought they would be too addictive. Unfortunately, I was right, and purchasing my first 1/6 girl second-hand opened the floodgates haha :sweat

    7. I prefer 1/4 MSD size due to space limitations. I'm amazed by the gorgeous 1/3 scale dolls I've seen but I don't have anywhere I can safely display them. 1/4 scale is a good compromise for me.
