It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Whats in YOUR doll carrier?

Jan 3, 2007

    1. *is taking notes for when she gets a carrier for Kyoya* I don't need a carrier for Kaitlin, she fits in my bag, but when I take her on holiday I take with me:

      her pet Poodle
      Extra clothes
a chair for her to sit on
her bottle of water and some crisps (healthy eating woop! xD)
      Her bag
ETA: Opps forgot about her sleeping bag, which she travels in xP

And I think that's about it. I don't really take her out so don't need to take any blankets, but I really should get a magic eraser..

    2. I don't keep that much in my doll carrier (it only has one pocket) most things just go in my normal bag.

      But it commonly holds:

      - My Camera
      - Batteries
      - A bus timetable (for the place where most of the doll meets I attend are)
      - A pair of doll boots (in case dollys are refusing to stand in their fancy shoes XD)
      - And A wee bag of Brace elastics (they are tiny rubber bands, great for tying up hair and such, I use one to keep my girls headcap on)

    3. Depends on the carrier xD
They often contain 2 dolls, one of the size for which the carrier was made and one smaller.
      cushions and facecaps
If there is only one doll: my camera (otherwise it's in my bag)
Extra bags on the carrier: clothes, wallet, phone etx.
From time to time: food xD always bagged several times, only when i'm wearing too much and don't have enough place in another bag.

    4. Most of my dolls' stuff is in their carrier!

The clear coat I use, extra eyelashes, all my face-up supplies including pastels and brushes, almost all of their clothes and accessories, a magic clean eraser, magnets, and the pillows from their boxes for safety.

    5. Let's see, from memory...

      - A Magic Eraser sponge
      - Some old dried-out eye putty
      - A pen or two stolen from a hotel room
      - A couple Ziplock bags to use for covering/protecting face ups (looks creepy but it works)
      - Random accessories, clothing and knick-knacks.
      - A comb... maybe?
      - Pillows, sometimes depending on how many dolls I'm attempting to squeeze in that carrier.

...Yeah, I really need to clean that thing out.

    6. Just wondering. : D

I couldn't find a topic like this, so if there is one, Mods, please delete this. D:

Okay, so I was thinking about a conversation I'd had with my grandma this morning while watching my cat paw at the nature channel on TV... : D

She'd gotten mad at me because I had lost the shoes and bonnet one of my non-BJDs had at a friend's house. So she told me that for awhile, I probably won't be able to take Novella outside the house ( Gah. Still waiting for her to get here. D: ) because she didn't want me to break or lose anything Novella would wear, etc.

Then I told her about dollie bags, and she said she'd consider it if I got one. : D

So my question is: What's in YOUR dollie bag? ;3

    7. I have two mini-size carriers, one I bought (which is awesome and padded) and one that came with my Dolkot boy (less awesome, but still nice). I can get 3 minis easily in the main carrier, and at least two in the Dolkot one. Once I had three minis and two tinies all in one bag. So inside the main compartment is just the dolls and additional pillows for padding. The dolls are carefully wrapped and have faceup protectors on at all times in the bag. It has two small outer pockets, which have some basics in them - Hemostats, extra string, rubber band, eye putty, small chunk of magic eraser, long twist tie (for threading through parts when restringing), length of ribbon, that sort of thing. Usually one of the pockets has all the stringing/maintenance stuff, and the other might hold the doll's goggles, an extra piece of clothing, maybe extra hands if I'm going to want them for the Minifees.

    8. Whenever I find the time to take Emma with me, I'm probably going to wrap her in a towel or blanket, put her in my bag, and keep a magic eraser inside just in case, too.

    9. Magic eraser, crochet hook, shoelace/ribbon/elastic cord, extra still-in-package elastic, hemostats, pencils. Mostly because my roommate and/or I get roped into restringing dollies a lot. XD

    10. -Facebubbles & bubblewrap scraps & rubber bands-- an oddball assortment always lives in the bag, ready to wrap a wide variety of doll sizes & builds.

-Haircare products & implements-- depends on the wig being worn by the dolls who're travelling that day. If it's a fur wig, or one that needs no styling, I don't bring anything. Other wigs need a toothbrush for tidying, and/or a bottle of wig-oil or hairspray, and/or a tub of Volks Water Wax. A doll wearing a smooth sleek wig gets a hairnet put over his head for travelling... delicate or styled wigs get taken off and travel separately.

-If it's a 2-day convention-- a change of clothes & hair for each doll

      -Head-removal hook

-Ziploc bags, you just always need them

      -Chunk of cleaning sponge

-If it's a stationary meetup with lots of space, I might bring a doll-stand and/or couch

-Camera bag with extra battery, because batteries love to die in the middle of photoshoots

-Bottle of water, because endless yakking about dolls is thirsty work

    11. Almost always there is a hairbrush, toothbrush (for the pukis XD) and hair goo for wig issues. I also bring a lint roller cause I have cats and dolls who dress in black. And most definitely a magic eraser...I've had accidents.

at least one doll pillow, possibly more depending on how many dolls I'm trying to cram in there.

Various props (mini foods, coffee cups and alcohol bottles)

and for some reason i have a facemask for me in there too...I think I put it in as a joke, it's a decorative one not a functional one, and now that's where it lives permanently.

    12. Hmmm. Never thought of the blanket thing, but I don't have room for one in there anyway.

      Magic eraser
      crochet hook
bent over piece of wire (I use this for stringing instead of ribbons).
      White-tacky
      Comb
      Brush
      Sarielle's sheep
      Some odd rement goodies
Small scissors and a little emergency sewing kit
Diaper wipes for hands (mine and others)

    13. Wow... I feel kinda bad for my dolls. I usually carry my dolls with me, since I don't have a carrier or purse, and I don't think to bring extra supplies. If I do use a "carrier" (usually converted from a school/work bag), it's usually just the dolls and a camera.

Granted, most meet-ups and such are usually in town or at our house, so extras really aren't a big deal for me. And when I travel, doll stuff goes right in with my stuff.

    14. doll, camera, soft white t-shirt to protect my doll, separate bag for wig ~

    15. Pillows, bubble wrap, face protectors, magic sponge, wig brush, batteries, lint roller, and sometimes a can of MSC.
