1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. I would definitely prefer a box. It is safer to ship and easier to store. For carrying the doll I would like to have some special bag.

    2. I have to say that a box would be preferred by me. I have seen dolls broken so easily by poor shipping that the whole bag thing makes me nervous.

    3. Can I have an option of a bag inside a box :XD:
It would be great to have a box as storage and a bag for transporting doll. Hard to pick either one but if I have to choose between those two, probably leaning more to box.

    4. Box for easy storage.

    5. In a box! Those cardboard boxes are designed to withstand a good load of abuse during shipping. And who could ever resist the temptation of a doll box opening anyway~ :wiggle

    6. I've gotten all of my dolls in boxes............including my Impldoll Chapman. I think bags would be less bulky though.

    7. I prefer a box, mostly because right now I don't have any other means of storage or display for my dolls and I have cats. Cats that like to knock things over and get into bags and such, as most normal cats do. I feel like they're more secure when the dolls are in the box at least.

    8. Box. It can take more abuse and just feels more formal/professional.

    9. Boxes, because I find them sturdy. Some of my resinsoul bodies came in their own bags and it just scared me. Though nothing has been chipped/ cracked/ broken- thank god

    10. Maybe it's a superficial reason, but sometimes I see boxes with really nice artwork or typeface on them, and I think it can add to the experience of getting a doll. It sets a tone or creates an atmosphere, if that makes sense. I don't mind bags, but sometimes the boxes seem more special.

    11. I've gotten dolls in boxes & in bags. I prefer the bags because they are more useful - I take my dolls out all the time. I do keep the boxes (resales & moves) but I flatten them. I certainly don't use EITHER for doll storage since my dolls are ALL on display (why would I ever pay this kind of $$$ to hide them away?)

    12. I prefer boxes, because it makes it easy for storing/stacking them in my closet. Bags are nice too, but I like the sturdiness of a box just in case it gets bumped around. It's also nice for shipping purposes.

    13. I haven't received a doll in a bag before, but I'm going to say in a box. Mostly because I like the big pretty boxes and I can usually rely on them to not squish my doll.

    14. Bags for sure. This things aren't easy to transport and a bag would be mighty handy. Boxes...they don't do jack and they take up a lot of space.

    15. I would love a carrier bag in a box ! Especially for the SD dolls...

    16. Neither. I could not care less. So long as it arrived bubble wrapped to the nines and intact I really don't care one whit about packaging. I just throw most boxes away anyway and honestly I've never seen a doll company bag that I liked and would use. Most of them are kind of ugly I think. I always make my dolla a nice fleece blanket and a yoga type bag. I want any carriers they are hanging out in to be stylish and comfy and I am admittedly fussy about that. :)

    17. I've gotten bags from Dollshe and Iplehouse, and wish I had more. My Dollshe bag is getting a bit worn; I've put a lot of miles on it! They're very well padded and secure. Bags are more weatherproof and durable than a cardboard box, convenient for travel, store dolls just as securely as boxes in my opinion, and take up less room when not in use.

When I didn't have the room, I couldn't keep the boxes. I have the room now, but have discovered I don't seem to need the boxes, so they're simply more trash for me to throw away. I've been in this hobby since '05 now, and haven't sold a doll. Chances are I'm not going to, so what's the point in keeping the box?

    18. Preferably a box, it's just a thing I have but I did buy a LTF Bisou and had her face up done and she had no box. My first LTF was a fullset so have box. I recently bought a pet bjd for my girls, fullset.....

    19. I wouldn't mind if the company sends me in box or bag. I don't like to pack my dolls in box after they arrive to my home. So box for me is just a material to protect and secure my dolls during being transported. But the bag? I haven't received any doll which was sent out in bag before. But it seems quite interesting and...if I have to choose between a beautiful boy and a bag...I would say, I choose a bag because it's easier to keep in my room. :) (I have so many boxes and...no place for them anymore...)

    20. Oops, I think I answered this poll wrong :doh

I would prefer (if I had to choose) that my doll come in a zippered, padded pillow bag, rather than a company box. Because this is how I store them, rather than in the boxes. Ideally, I prefer shipping to be outer (shipping) box > inner (company box) > zippered pillow bag > doll.

      I've never seen a doll mailed in just a bag before, so I thought this question was about whether you care about company boxes or not ^-^;
