1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. nope l don't keep the box's.

    2. I kept a good number of mine.. but now every other incoming box that isn't really special or I have already one of that sort or isn't shiny will be thrown away ^^... I don't have much space. yet.

    3. I keep the boxes. They're too cute to throw them away and it would hurt me to do it.

    4. I have extra boxes, since I bought two bodies for a pair of heads. I keep them all--some just store pillows, some hold clothes and accessories, and some have served as beds. Never thought of turning them into carriers, like Mad-March; that was a good idea! It's not likely I'll sell a doll, but I might need to send them someplace, say for body blushing or repair, and then the boxes would come in very handy.

    5. I keep my dolls in doll boxes and doll carriers. I much prefer RS's pleather doll carriers to boxes, but I do keep the boxes from my other dolls just the same for the sake of storing the dolls.

    6. I keep all of the box that they are come in. Even the not so nice ones :sweat
Never know when they come handy!

    7. I keep all my doll boxes, just for some places for keeping doll clothes or shoes... etc.... XD

    8. I never keep the shipping boxes, but yes, the doll boxes themselves I do keep. They're just so pretty, I couldn't throw them out xD. But I keep all spare parts in them, and accessories I've collected for photographic reasons. And their cushions and face protectors and everything I might need.
So when I have to transport them for a permanent situation (moving houses, not dollmeets) then I use the boxes to move them.

    9. My Puki Puki doll box looks like a storybook, red with metallic lettering. Plus, it has magnets to keep it closed when traveling about. So yes, I do keep it. And, little Elly does sleep in it, for safe-keeping.

    10. Yes, I keep all my dolls' doll boxes. Not only are they handy for storage, but for shipping if they are sold.

    11. I don't have enough space to keep them. I share a house with other people.

    12. I allways keep the box. Are so beautiful <3 And for me it's an important part of the doll.

    13. Yes, I keep the box. Like someone stated earlier, I use it for when I move and also for putting accessories in it. I am kind of attached to Soom boxes ^^ But if I bought just a body I don't think I would care as much about the box then if a full doll came in it.

    14. I keep the doll boxes. I store my dolls' extra parts in them (hands, not used heads etc.). And also the face protector masks, the pillows they came with, and sometimes parts of the bubblewrap packaging - all those things that I think might be useful to protect the doll in case I move to another flat/house. Because I know I won't stay living in the current one forever and I want my dolls to be safe while moving. Oh, and some doll boxes really are pretty...

    15. Reading everyone's responses has really given me heaps of ideas for the ever-growing pile of boxes that I seem to be collecting in my closet (not to mention the giant rubbermaid I have in my storage unit full of all the Tonner doll boxes I own...well, all of the ones that would fit in the container...*shifty eyes*).

A few of my lovelies came to me without a box - so they get put away in a box with one of the others that has room. They are great for moving, because they are sturdy and protective! Plus, they are too darned pretty not to keep. The Fairyland ones for puki puki and such are genius though - they look like books and fit on my bookshelves!

    16. I have 26 dolls at home at the moment. Many of the boxes are at my storage unit. But I have a huge stack here as well. I have kept some of the packing boxes, since I have been known to sell dolls. Most at the house are in the attic.

    17. I keep boxes as well as many other people. I keep doll hands in there, extra parts, face protectors,faceplates/heads and stuff like that. I also rather to keep it because in case of moving houses, boxes are the best thing that I can use for my dolls. I still have to find boxes for 2 dolls of mine as they were second hand and came without boxes.

    18. I have two large boxes, (DOD-Ringdoll) I keep them clothes and wigs, etc., Eric and Hwang, my boys, sleep in one large drawer, which turned into a bed for them. I think about throwing away the boxes, but they are so beautiful ....

    19. I keep my boxes! most of them are at home now, as I'm in a dorm in college, but they're great. If you have fabric you can make them into a bed, you can stack them and turn them into a couch. they're just great tools for places to sit your dolls if you don't like keeping them boxed all the time!

    20. I kept the lids to the boxes, stupid me -_- now when/If I ever sell them, How am I going to find a bottom for the boxes? LOL
