1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. The only reason I keep my box is for moving purposes. It's the safest way to transport her right now and so far, its done a good job on protecting her during moves.

    2. I haven't gotten one yet, haha, but if I do, I probably will. I'm not actually sure if Bobobie gives boxes, though, and that's the company I'm waiting on at the moment...hmm. But when I order other dolls that do give boxes, I'm sure to keep them. My mama always taught me to keep packaging, because when you move or want to sell, those boxes come in handy.

    3. I keep my boxes for many reasons. If I ever decided to sell my dolls (which I don't plan on) they would go away with their boxes. I also store them in there boxes when I am not playing with them to help protect them from the sun or anything else that could damage them. I have two dogs so I always make sure to put them away incase my dogs don't decide they look like a nice chew toy. :sweat Also, we are a military family so we move around every 3 years or so. I'm living in Italy now so when the time comes they will need to be sent back to my new place in the states. :) I will definitely be putting them in their boxes to avoid damages.:aheartbea I'd be devastated if anything happened to my girls.

    4. Yes I keep mine, basically for the same reasons everyone here keeps them, transportation and to store them away when I'm not using them to keep them safe.

    5. I kept my Serendipity box, but I use it to hold art supplies, so it's terribly dirty now. I wish I'd kept it cleaner. I use a VS Pink case to hold all my doll stuff. Much prettier.

    6. I have both Malice's Orientdoll box (its so tiny!) and James DoD box. I use the boxes to keep their stuff in. That way its easy for me to remember which clothes go with which doll in the future when I have more. It also helps to keep things organized.

    7. I keep my doll's boxes because I keep my dolls in them to avoid them getting dusty. One day, when I get a room to display my dolls, I'll probably... still keep the boxes and store doll clothes and accessories in them. I think I'm probably one of the few people who store their dolls back in their boxes after bringing them out for photographs. :3

    8. I keep my dolls in their boxes whenever I'm not using them too. I just find it easier that way... I don't think I would ever want them laying out all the time. >.<
It helps that I've got a cupboard to store those boxes in though. Maybe I wouldn't want to waste space with them if I didn't...

    9. I stashed mine in the closet. I think it will be useful when I need to send her out to get her face up and body blushing done.

    10. I do, just in case one day I might just decide that they have to go and it's obviously easier to sell dolls when their boxes come along with them. I don't know when that day may be, but all I know at this point of time that it's far far far far faaaaaarrrrr away XD

    11. I used to make flat the company doll boxes (so if I want to resale a doll to post it in the original box) and store them behind the bookcase of my atelier but after we moved the atelier and split doll collection with friends , I got rid of all the boxes & pillows too. I only kept the certificates (plus boxes become more and more complex and its hard to make them flat anymore)
As I display my collection in a shelf of my bookcase and at the top of an art items drawer (and floating heads on a vitrine hanged on the wall) I have no use for boxes or pillows ... so got rid of them all except the puki one which was so cute and now its a case for my pastels.

    12. I agree with a lot of what's been said already. xD I don't use mine to store things (I actually recently bought a plastic cubby thing for dolly clothes/supplies/etc), BUT, I do know that at some point I will be moving--so having the boxes seems easier and less stressful than just shoving them all into my dolly bag. Besides--I only have two boxes so far, so it's not like I'm being overtaken by them (though I am sad that my secondhand girly didn't come with a box--the plus to DZ boxes is that they're big enough to fit two dolls into, if need be, I guess~).

    13. I keep all of the boxes. They're too pretty to throw away! At the moment I just store all the boxes under my bed. :) I'm currently living in a dorm, so when I move out from here I'll put the dolls in them so they won't be ruined when moving. I'm thinking about making one of them into a bed too, unless I can find a proper bed for them. :)

    14. I keep the boxes and I keep the dolls inside. That's still the best way to protect them from the 4 cats that rule the house.^^

    15. My dolls currently live in their boxes, but even when I get a proper display I will keep them for storing the dolls if I ever need to.

    16. I do keep the box, because I don't have a carrier so I use the box to move my doll around. I also keep her clothes, wigs and shoes in it when she is not in it. My 5stardoll box is nice quality, its not just a cardboard box. :3

    17. 3 of my dolls came with carrying cases instead of boxes. So I put the boxes inside the boxes along with all my other doll things (it's like a russian doll in there). One bag fits inside the other bag, but the 3rd one is filled with all the traveling pillows and facemasks.

    18. I use my doll's box to store extra clothing and stuff, I'd probably regret it if I threw away their temporary/first home!

    19. I do keep my boxes for the bjd's. I just can't part with them and I will store some items in them as well.

    20. I keep my boxes and usually store spare clothes, wigs, and eyes in them
