1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I keep my dolls box, because i need somewhere to put him at night XD i don't like to leave him out in case he gets damaged by unwanted guests -.- lol

    2. I've kept all of mine but I am thinking of throwing out the lati ones as they are just taking up space in the cupboard. i'll keep the Fairyland ones though.

    3. I still have my pukipuki's box. It looks like a book, and I really love books. I am storing all the tiny little puki outfits and accessories in it currently. I like that it is small and doesn't take up very much space, so I imagine I'll keep it around as long as I have her.

    4. Mine are all stacked under my bed and empty at the moment but i would never get ride of them b/c i do pack my dolls away burring like a hurricane and so i have them when i move. I also don't think I would but a second hand doll w/o it's original box unless it was a resinsoul or something and didn't come with one.

    5. I keep the doll box. I like to store the sleeping face plate there, as well as any wigs she's not currently wearing.

    6. Exactly, lol! Not just doll things, but things like photos or other keepsakes. I will totally keep my girl's box when she arrives for clothes and accessories though!

    7. I've kept my box, as it's perfect to store Josephine away when she's not in use, or needs protection now that my home is being overhauled. It's overall very convenient.

    8. I always keep doll boxes because I'm pretty paranoid about sunlight and keep my dolls save in their boxes almost all the time. Aaria's box is under my bead and boxes of the smaller dolls are kept in a closet.

    9. I keep my two boys in boxes when they're not out, for the same reasons as everyone else really :) Plus, its all cushiony and comfortable in there, I just hope neither of them are scared of the dark! When I get them out, they sit inside my wardrobe which is also super protected ^^

    10. I kept everything that Chaucer came with. Even the cardboard box haha. I am very sentimental like that~!

    11. I kept my box because not only is it a handy place to store Taka if I need to, but also it was such a nice purple color with gold writing, I couldn't bring myself to throw it away. Ringdoll boxes are so pretty...

    12. I have kept 95% of the doll boxes, Mostly for storage when they arn't out or Should I need to move. Also initially it was where I kept all their clothese.... untill they quickly outgrew the box. I do use one littlefee box to manage all the spare plates, and a doma doll box to house all my floating heads.

    13. I want to keep my dolls outside, on chair for example, but I'm afraid of fast yellowing so I keep them in the carrier. It's comfortable too because they don't get dirty of everything what's in the air (my room is near street and it brings a lot of dirty :/)

    14. I keep all my boxes, I usually put their extra clothes/eyes/accessories in there when they're not being used. Sometimes I make carrier bags out of them, theyre the perfect size already for my doll.

    15. I've had to move multiple times, and probably will again in the future, so having the boxes gives me a safe place to store them for the transition. It just makes everything that much easier, so I hold on to all of them. :)

    16. I live in an apartment and have a large collection, so keeping that many boxes is completely impractical. I have a few, the ones that arrive to me in better-than-average shape, but most of them get thoroughly abused in the postal system, spend a few weeks as a kitty fortress, and get tossed.

If I kept them all, they would take up most of the only real closet my apartment has, and the ones I do keep are used to store other things (shoes, art supplies, other random items) so that they are not just sitting there wasting space. I keep all of my dolls on dislpay in my makeshift office.

    17. I always keep the boxes. I think they're really too beautiful to just throw away and also all the doll stuff is stored inside. Also they remind me of the box opening, the first time seing the box, seing how big it is, the anticipation of seing your doll for the first time: all is in a box. :D
And I might move someday and could just use those boxes for the dolls again. ^^

    18. I threw 90% of them out. I don't see myself selling any of my current dolls + I have 32 dolls! With plans for more. I live in an apartment and I just can't store all those boxes! They were fall out of my closet and taking up far too much space. So for me it was a decision to declutter and not worry about resale/transport.
I still might just get rid of the rest now that I have a bag from spiritdoll for carrying them in! Keep a few of the soom fancy pillows, a few of the pillows with ties to keep them closed and toss the rest!

    19. i used to keep them... but while they're printed nicely they're pretty flimsy. The limwha box I had was great, it was sturdy and i used it for storage till it fell apart. The others not so much. I did like the ones that collapsed in on themselves.

when I started this hobby it seemed important to keep the box in case i sold the doll. People seemed to want the box as well. But i live in a smaller apartment now and there are more important things for me to store than empty doll boxes. like... doll furniture, or christmas ornaments.

    20. I keep my boxes for everything, even for my figures and I have LOTS of anime figures. I kept my box for my doll in case I ever need to put her away for moving reasons or just to save her from being dusty. Dx
