1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I keep him in there at night, because I think he would distract me too much while I was trying to sleep, lol. It's just nice to have a place I can tuck him away where he'll be safe and out of sight.

    2. I imagine I will keep all of mine so that I can put things in them. As long as they can fit under my bed, that is. It seems like such a low bed, even the cats have trouble being under it.

Plus, I'm a terrible packrat. I could never throw anything away.

    3. I keep the sturdier boxes, but I don't like clutter and even now I'm trying to justify keeping the box from my Soom Azur. I didn't keep the flimsy plastic boxes from either of my Dollfie Dreams, my Iple boy came in a carrier, and there's no way I'm letting go of my Yo's box after that bid war. :XD: Or my Idealian's box since he's so frakking big, I'd never find another one his size. That and I'm also pretty good at cramming maximum dolls into minimum space if I have to. :)

    4. I have kept all my boxes and I have only one doll that came with a carrying case instead and I use all for the same purpose. I store each individual dolls clothes, extra heads if they came with one, wigs, pillows (these are kept for travel purposes since I usually use a shopping wheelie to take all the dolls I need to transport) and accessories. It keeps items organized per doll so I do not have to rummage. I do not have more than 8 dolls currently so this limits my space. Dolls sit on my boxes which are arranged like a bench so everything is compact and readily accessilbe.

    5. I kept m blythe boxes till they got to be too many. now I just keep 5 or so so I can ship them off to spas and if I sell any.

i did just get a domadoll Cooki and Im keeping her box as it makes an awesome carry case!

    6. I've got all my doll's boxes save one, and that's only because he didn't come in a company box since he was bought second hand. Most of the boxes I've got have been nice and sturdy, and even the Soom Super Gem boxes have served me greatly as one long couch for all the dolls to sit on.

I keep them because I know eventually I'll be moving and I want to be able to put them in something that's fairly safe. That and, for the time being, I've been good at playing Tetris with them for storage, and have also been able to store props, outfits, tools and other items in them as well. In the future though... I'll probably have to cut back on the boxes. They're starting to dominate my closet space.

    7. For the most part I do have most of my doll boxes though collecting them has become less critical over time.

    8. I not only keep their boxes, but I also keep a token from the box that their boxes came in, since they usually have logos on them or some such. I don't have any shelf space, so I need the boxes for UV protection purposes anyway.

    9. Yes I always keep them. And try to keep them in great condition. Mostly because I think the boxes are so beautiful and are little homes for the dolls. Also because I wish now I had kept the boxes of my childhood dolls so its also for sentimental reasons.

    10. I use my Doll Family box to keep my dolls wigs, clothes, eyes--etc, and BJD dealer business cards in. c:
I keep it in my closet, stacked on other boxes--but easy to get to!

    11. I keep my boxes. They're useful for storing doll things, and for when I want to transport my dolls safely. ...Sadly I'm cleaning out my room at the moment, so they're going to the attic...

    12. I like to keep the boxes for doll storage as well. It's been particularly useful since Elodae's box is so nice and I've had her stored for quite a while now, since school has been so busy. It's also a safe way to transport them with all of their things, when you do need to move them--I know I'll be thankful for those boxes when I move out of my house!

    13. I keep all my dolls boxes (all 5 of them)! At first this was how i traveled with them. Packed up back in their boxes. Now this is where i kept all my dolls individual things, like cloths and spare parts. So know whos is whos and dont have to look at it and be "i think this is Luw-wens.... or maybe Shinwas? " Plus i think its just nice to keep them. When i designed the table i built to display my dolls on i specialy included a cabinet section for just storing their boxes!

    14. I keep my boxes.. JUST IN CASE! because you never know what's gonna happen.

    15. Doll boxes yes I keep them. Shipping box no. I only kept one to store bubble wrap and stuff.

    16. I like to keep the boxes but due to space reasons on my room some boxes that they were a little bit damaged went to the trash the last month, i like to keep the dolls on the bxes because like this they are safe from the lught and well protected, the ones that they don´t have box now share their space with other dolls that the actually have their boxes.

    17. I only have one box, so its not a problem. If I had maybe 10+ I'd see were that can be a problem.

    18. I kept my dollie box too! I just have one for now and I really love his DOD box, so pretty!:D I am going to keep any others for memories purposes too.:):aheartbea

    19. I don't have any dolls yet, but when I get them, I'll probably keep their boxes. Besides the fact that I'm a pack rat and don't like throwing away a perfectly good box, you never know when you're going to need it again. I think having a box for them already on hand would come in handy if you ever have to move or redo your room or something. At least they'll probably be safer that way.

    20. In the past I've answered this question as no, because I tend to get rid of the boxes, however I've kept all the boxes from all the dolls who came with boxes in the last year. I'm not sure if I'll keep them or not, but sometimes it seems like a good idea to keep some of them. For instance, t is nice to have the box for my Lusion Dahlia because I didn't have anything else big enough to pack her in, and I've had to do it a few times since she arrived for various reasons.
