1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I've personally kept my boxes and plan to keep those that will come in the future also. They are really convenient and you can use them for all sorts of things too besides just storing things, like modding them into carriers or beds or platforms for your dolls to use.

    2. I keep all of the boxes from my dolls and anything relating to my dolls. I also have the boxes for their wigs, and all of the bags and boxes from their clothing and accessories as well.

I keep them in case I want to sell anything later on. However I don't see myself selling my dolls, I want to keep their boxes in case I need to transport them somewhere. I think it would be hard to find a box to fit my dolls (Dollfie Dream) so I keep their boxes. Also the Dollfie Dream boxes are really pretty to me~

    3. I keep the boxes. I use them to store doll clothes and accessories in. Sometimes I even use them for transporting the dolls. There are probably more space-saving ways to store my things and I'd love to get a doll bag for transporting...but it's hard to throw out the box.

    4. Ok, so i love to watch peoples box openings, and i know when i have a doll i like to keep the box they came in, but ive noticed some people wont keep the box, or they will keep EVERYTHING like the bubble wrap and the box that the box shipped in
So my question to you is, when you open up a new doll what do you keep?

    5. I don't have a doll yet, I'm still trying to find my perfect match, but I can guarantee you I'll keep the box. If not to keep her in when I'm away, then to put her things in.
I know some companies send little cards to give out, too. I'd definitely keep those, just because I'm a hoarder and they're little.
But I wouldn't keep packing bits, like bubble-wrap or packing peanuts. A face-plate, maybe.
I guess I'll know better when I get my first doll, huh? XD

    6. I have a profound believe in recycling, also in my country bubblewrap and boxes are both hard to find and highly expensive (in my opinion). My country does not have postoffices, I drop off parcels at a tobacco or bookshop. I ship out a LOT. Often people expect seller to pay for packaging.

So yes, I usually keep bubblewrap and shippingboxes until I have to send something.

I flatten boxes to go behind the sofa in our guest room and keep bubblewrap in a special box.

    7. I keep the bubblewrap, and the packing peanuts. Depending on how beat up the shipping box is, I keep it, too. I keep these things to re-use when shipping things out later. I normally join swaps a lot (didn't do any last year, though) and ship things off to my sister who lives out of state, so I wind up needing the shipping material, and why pay for it when I can instead re-use what comes with my dolls?

As for the doll boxes themselves, so far I keep them. I store my doll related stuff in the doll boxes.

    8. I will keep the inner box -- those come in handy if I want to sell a doll later, or need to transport a doll to a con or meetup. I also keep the pillows to use later as packing as well as any certificates from the company. The outer boxes tend to get pitched out over time, since there's a limit to how many large boxes I have space for.

    9. I keep everything. I can use it for other stuff that I ship out and I can also use it if I move and save me a lot of money. ^^

    10. I keep:
-The inner doll box & pillows & face cover
-Any booklets/pamphlets/paper work that comes with them (incl. postcards and business cards)
-The bubblewrap (which I store away for when I need to ship things out over the year)
-The EMS slips attached to the box

      I toss:
      -The shipping box
-Packing peanuts if any (too messy!)
-Crumpled newspaper if any (I can just crumple my own if I need it)

So generally, I save a good portion of the box opening contents. I can fit the inner boxes inside each other for different sized dolls, so they don't take up too much room. I probably don't need to save the EMS forms, but I always do for some reason. They stay filed in a folder.

    11. I recycle the shipper, unless I have something I need to ship in it right away, keep the bubble wrap and peanuts for future shipping needs, and keep the boxes if they are in good shape. I have to resort to very creative places to keep them, though, because my house is very small. I also keep stuff that comes with the doll: papers, gifts, postcards, etc.

    12. I tend to keep the shipper box, bubble wrap, the doll box, pillows....whatever comes with the doll! Unless it's newspaper. I smooth it back out and fold it, and put it in the recycling box. The bubble wrap, peanuts, etc, can be reused when I ship something else out. I store this stuff in our garage, in my spare room, and under the bed. Doll boxes themselves are up in my closet, under my bed, and a couple are on a shelf in the spare room since there was no room!

    13. I keep the actual doll box, books and pamphlets, pillows, etc.
I toss the shipping box and any packing material.

    14. I keep the doll box, pillows, face protectors. Shipping cartons and plastic, foam, packing materials, those all get thrown out. I tend to buy more than I ship anything, ever, so there's no sense in keeping it. Besides, I don't have the space. XD The doll boxes get used to store clothes and accessories.

    15. I tend to keep everything, tbh :sweat Even the shipping boxes, as it's easier to ship them back out if I decide to sell a doll on. Unless it's broken or not easy to reseal (I'm talking about the flimsy plastic bags that use a glue line and a flap to 'shut' the bag), I'll save it somewhere. Even though it means I have a massive bag full of bubble wrap D:

Interestingly, when I receive small boxes for small resin/non resin items, I never re-use them by shipping out stuff to buyers. I use them to store the doll stuff instead.

    16. I keep the doll box, and the little papers or bubble wrap that fill in hats, wigs and shoes. I also keep any bigger pieces of bubble wrap to play with...:sweat. As of right now I recycle the outer box and any packaging material I think I won't need in the future (which is rare).

    17. I know my mum keeps smaller packages and bubblewrap, but she doesn't have the right place to put large folded boxes...
I keep inner boxes, pamphlets, cushions... and maybe a face-plate too... hm.

    18. I kept my box, and the protector pillow, i almost wanted to keep the bubble wrap, but threw it out while power cleaning my room.
(though I thought it was hilarious every time i stepped on it and had a hart attack because i forgot it was there, hehe)

I use the box and pillow as her bed.

    19. I keep all but the really used up bubble wrap. I like to reuse !! peanuts cost allot here too. I love gather peanuts. I am always using them :}

    20. the box an pillows. when I open my dolls, I tear off the bubble wrap so even if I wanted to keep it, it wouldn't be good for use :sweat

I MAY get rid of a few box I have in the near future. my dolls are all 65cm+ so their box take a lot of place X_x most likely, it will be the soom box that will leave and I will only keep the pillow case to keep the dolls in! and since Iple sends their dolls in foam instead of pillows, I would keep their full box <.< (gotta store dem dolls).

I rarely receive face covers but when I do, I keep them. those kind of things can be really useful!
