1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I keep everything, especially the bubble wrap, crumpled newspaper and packing peanuts.

    2. Oh yes face covers always!

    3. I keep the Inner box/carry bag, pillows, paperwork and any pretty company promo stuff that comes included (like Fairyland postcards). I sometimes keep the facemasks but not usually because i have a heap of coolcat ones. I also sometimes keep the outer shipping box to store things in (they make good fabric storage boxes). I don't bother keeping bubble wrap or other packing stuff.

    4. If you are a seller of anything, bubble wrap is like plastic gold. I keep every bit of it that crosses my path :D

I keep the heavier, nicer boxes, and toss everything inside except pillows/bags, face covers, ribbons, and the aforementioned bubble wrap. Everything else goes. I don't have room to store all the boxes.

    5. I think I pretty much kept everything except for the tape, bubblewrap, and the little promo booklet that came with the doll. I don't think I'll ever be able to throw away the box and pillow though since they're like my doll's bed.

    6. I toss the mailing box or use it to store things. I keep everything else in the doll box so if I need to pack them up for some reason I have the materials.

If I have a lot of bubble wrap I put some in my doll bags so I can protect them during meetup transport.

    7. A lot of the time, I keep all of it. I reuse the shipping boxes for other things (like when I sell textbooks) and I keep the company box for whenever I move, so I know my dolls are safe. Bubble wrap is also good to keep, especially with shipping other stuff.

But not packing peanuts - those go RIGHT in the trash the little devils.

    8. Normally I recycle the shipping boxes and any packing materials that come with. I definitely keep the pretty doll boxes, the pillows, faceup protectors, the cards, stickers, freebies, etc. If I get extra hands or parts, I'll keep a little bit of bubble wrap to store them in. Normally I get rid of the all the bubble wrap, but I've got plans to ship a doll so I've been hoarding bubble wrap, even from non-doll purchases XD

    9. I keep the doll box and all packing stuffs/baggies etc that the doll came wrapped in as well as all inserts but recycle or reuse the shipping box. I'd keep those too but they generally don't fit under my bed, which is where the boxes and dolls get stored.

    10. I try to keep everything, the boxes came in handy for christmas this year... and then cause my family knows how I am I somehow ended up with twice as many... Unfortunately my nephew got into the bubble wrap and had a hayday with it.. The peanuts are safe.. for now.

    11. I kept the goodies that came with, obviously, since Junkyspot is the goodie god. I kept the inner box, although I shreaded the thin layer of plastic off on accident in one place, and ended up completely stripping it to the bare box itself. I kept the bubblewrap for a while, but ended up tossing it due to issues with the amount of tape that was stuck to it, and I tossed the outer box and peanuts. My dad works in a mailing house, so I don't have issues with shipping materials, if I would ever need them, because he can get pretty much anything I need for free. I just kept the pretty parts, the box for storage, and the yellow pillow/sack as a lining for the box so I can also use it as a bed/storage for the doll.

    12. I'll keep the box, the shipping box (the box it came in) and maybe some of the bubblewrap.

      I'm a packrat :sweat

    13. I keep everything minus the outer box. I even, at one point, wanted to keep the outer box, just in case, but I just don't have the room. But I definitely keep the actual doll box, the pillows, any ID cards and extra pamplets, and definitely the bubblewrap. :D

    14. I just keep the box and obviously the doll stuff.

I don't keep the shipping box or packing stuff unless I know I'm going to be using them very shortly. I dislike clutter and don't have room for that stuff anyway.

    15. What I don't keep I recycle, it's the least I can do :D Oddly enough I recycle all of
the bubble wrap because it usually ends up in tatters from being taped, so whenever
I sell a doll I simply buy a new roll at my P.O. for $1. I've kept all of my SD's outer
boxes because it's not the easiest to find the right size, and I've always been happy
to have them handy which makes shipping that much easier & less stressful. Also...
I deplore wig nets!!!! Absolutely HATE them because I've seen birds tangled up in them.
PLEASE don't just throw them away, you have no guarantee it won't end up hurting
something in the end. *end of rant* :sweat Don't get me started on peanuts! lol Since they
aren't recyclable here, fortunately none of my dolls have arrived with them so far.

So I keep all of my dolls inner boxes, papers, cushions, face mask.....pretty much if it
arrived with my doll it stays. But I understand that not everyone has the spare space or
wants it filled up with boxes. So, yeah, that's what I keep!

    16. $1? I have paid 12 for the last roll I got! No idea why this stuff is so expensive here!

    17. LOL I know... I was thinking the same $1 !! will have to check the post office next time I go! I normally get mine from Staples and it is much more than that.

    18. I only keep the box, the books, face covers and pillows. I recycle everything else. But Im starting to think I should keep the bubble wraps and plastics in case I want to resell the doll later.... :doh

    19. I usually keep the box, pillows, facemask, doll certificates, promotional materials (postcards etc) and any bubblewrap that's still in good shape.

    20. Everything! I keep the cardboard box they came in, even the Korean newspaper they use to pad out the boxes with. I never know when I'll want to rehome one of them, or send one of them off to be customisied.
