1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. Well my Makrua's box is currently in the closet safely tucked away. I actually need to get around to repairing his box to make him a nice little bed, my postal service for my town kind of damaged it a little.

    2. For me, FCS/Standard boxes have been thrown away, and as for those limited boxes, they have been de-boxed, and have been lying straight so they don`t take up too much space. Now that I AM moving, those boxes are coming in quite handy.

    3. i put my nangong box in my closet. i used his box for storing his material

    4. I keep mine under my bed near the edge b/c that's the only place where it'll fit due to its weird design. I assume I'll be able to get three SD boxes lining the bed. I use those boxes to store things. I only have one now so its used to store doll stuff. In the future, I plan to put my books, supplies and games in the future boxes to clear up some closet space for future stuff.

    5. underneath my sewing table ^.^ I use it to store clothing, accessories, shoes, etc :)

    6. Mine is currently under my computer table now that I have a room. If I get more dollies, I bet that would be the spot I'd stick the boxes. It's a good space.

    7. My Iplehouse Akando's box is so big and just sits there under my bed taking up space. But I'm hesitant to throw it out/use it for art (I'm tempted to make a bed for him out of it) incase I need it one day...
      What do you guys to with your doll boxes they came in?

    8. I use them to store other things that I don't usually need (supplies I have duplicates of, restringing tools, that sort of thing) and stack boxes inside of each other when I can. I then stack all of the boxes on some bookshelves in the back of my closet in the sewing room. I've never gotten rid of a doll box, except to ship the doll it belonged to.

    9. I usually leave my dolls on display and use their boxes for things like their accessories, or other things (like a temporary bookcase) but if I have people staying over in the house, I generally pack the dolls away. Not only for my own peace of mind (as by people I usually mean relatives with small children) but also out of deference to them. (Sometimes people can be creeped out by dollies) then I just pack the dolls up into their boxes and put them away for a little while.

    10. I collect doll boxes.

      It's almost a memory for me. Sometimes I like the box more than the doll lol.

      Sadly, the closet doesn't support that much space and I hate clutter so I'm mulling over on what use I can put to the bunch. :/

    11. I've kept the two doll boxes I got (I bought both my full dolls second hand and they came with their original boxes). I didn't want to throw them out because I figure when I need them they won't be here (and the Dollzone box is pretty. xD ) I've also been thinking about turning them into a bed, but I don't want to get rid of it. <w<;

    12. Just a suggestion, but do you keep your smaller doll boxes inside your larger ones? It's what I do with the MSD and Yo- boxes when I'm not using them. It frees up a surprising amount of space.

    13. Hm, good idea. :lol:

      I do have a lot of big boxes that are the same scale but those can be used as bubblewrap storage instead.. *taps chin*

    14. I have doll boxes in other doll boxes to save space, and I just keep them stacked in the top of my closet! I usually only keep the nicer ones - I was holding on to all of them, but eventually got rid of not-so-nice ones like CustomHouse's ugly boxes. xD;

    15. I like my doll's boxes, they're a good place for them to sleep when im not playing with them :D So far the doll boxes ive gotten were pretty and had nice cushions in them though.

    16. I have more boxes than I know what to do with them but I haven't thrown any away yet though that may change once cleaning time comes around *_* So far I've used the bigger ones to store smaller boxes and doll items among other things.

    17. I've kept all my doll boxes. They're just stacked on a high shelf, and their
      cushions, papers, extra parts & protective bits like face protectors etc. stay
      in there. I never set out to sell any of my dolls, but it's happened, and I'm
      obviously happy having the original boxes available when it does. So much
      less stressful. Hmm I have at least 14 full doll boxes and several boxes my
      heads came in....so having to store 1 box sounds pretty good;)

    18. I keep them for sure!! If I wanted to sell a doll eventually (Which I doubt) having the box would be good. Plus they're just so pretty. I can use them to store things if I need. I'd never throw mine out.

    19. I only have one doll box so far, but I know I'll be keeping all the rest! (I have an msd and an sd coming soon, so, yay!) My current one is filled to the brim with accessories, wigs and clothes. It would be nice to have a box dedicated to each type of item. :)

    20. I have collected and accumulated more than 20 boxes so far and it indeed is such a waste of space XD but unlike what others might be able to do, my dollies don't sit on selves or have their own living quarters, so I have them all sleeping in their own boxes.... so yeah.... I can't throw anything away simply because I don't have anywhere else to keep my dollies protected, other than that, I see no point in keeping these boxes, since nowadays, people are more willing to sell and send dollies without their original packaging as it saves heaps on shipping.
