1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I just keep the Box, the pillow, face cap and the foam ... Oh and the manual of course =D

    2. I tend to keep cushions, face protectors, paper work somtimes. I don't keep the box most of the time. I sometimes keep a shipping box or two cut down as I am always needing boxes but not always for doll stuff. Peanuts and bubble wrap in good shape are kept as well not a ton but I do have some stored away.Packing material is expensive and I like to recycle it whenever I can.

    3. I keep everything, especially the bubble wrap because I need to use it for shipping things. But I most likely won't keep the outer box if I am planning to keep the doll, because the inner box is enough. ^^

    4. i keep everything especially bubble wrap ,inner box ,outer box ...all of them that sent from company together with toshi. ^^

    5. most everything but the bubble wrap... that can always be replaced easy enough should I need to resell the doll

    6. I usually keep the inner box with the pillows and all the papers (flyers, authenticity card, manuals, etc).
I have kept a few outer boxes too, which I use for storage of clothes (my clothes, not doll clothes) which I don't wear that much anymore.
And I have a few pieces of bubblewrap with I have kept, but usually I throw those away too.
And usually I don't order face-ups, so I don't get a face cover very often. But if I do, I keep those as well.

If the doll comes with items like a wig, I usually keep the plastic bags or boxes from those wigs too.

But at this moment I am starting to have too many boxes (and too little room), so I might need to find a different way to store them, or else they have to go too.

    7. i keep everything :sweat
the cardboard box , the company box , face covers , blanket and of course the bubble wrap !

    8. I try to keep everything... however, I have a mum who likes to toss away what she deems as trash. I'm going to try and keep all of what's in my MNF's box and the box itself.

    9. I tend to keep everything! The box in case I need to put my doll away, whatever came with said doll, and the bubble wrap and shipping supplies in case I need to ship something. Waste not, want not, right?

    10. We keep absolutely everything in a new box opening. Pillows, foam, bubblewrap- it all stays in the box. Even 20-some-odd dolls in, we still keep all the boxes intact! o_o;;

Second-hand things, we might keep the bubblewrap if it's needed. Otherwise, the box and packing material gets tossed. We always, always keep the face protectors since we seem to LOSE them with alarming regularity.

    11. The outer shipping box I usually use for projects needing cardboard (i.e. cosplay items, shields etc). Or throw it out for recycling if I have too many shipping boxes. Inner doll box I keep all the dolls clothes and items in. The cushions I keep for transporting dolls to meets and conventions. The official papers I keep for authenticity purposes (If I get them), bubble wrap and face protection I keep for transportation to meets and conventions (especially for extra heads and hands). Never thrown actual doll box out too handy to store each individual doll clothes (They do not share), and props. And in my small apartment storage and order are key or a lot of things would get damaged or lost. I arrange the boxes like benches and some of the dolls sit on them. All dolls are out of their boxes, or on my big bed.

    12. I keep everything that's come with my dolls so far. The shipping box, original box, pillows, foam, etc. I keep Soom fantasy parts in the bubble wrap so that stays. Even if I get a head in the mail, I usually keep the box and bubble wrap.

    13. I kept the outer box for one of my dolls to use as storage for miscellaneous things. I kept the box my first doll came in, and of course, I have the bag that my BBB came in as well. I also like to keep bags that certain items come in if they have a purpose - like any kind of ziplock-type bags can store things until I need something more sturdy.

After that, anything I might need - face protectors, wig nets, etc. - I hold on to.

And there's always the free stuff you might get. Come to think of it, I have a bracelet that BBB sent me that I should try to find...

    14. I usually just keep the actual doll box if it is really pretty, then the pillows, and sometimes the bubblewrap and outer shipping box if it's still in good enough condition for me to pack and ship something else with it.
I store all my paperwork in the doll boxes I keep and sometimes extras the doll came with, that I don't use at the moment. That's pretty much it.

    15. I keep everything because I can re-use it all! Doll boxes are a unique size and for selling a doll it helps to have shipping box options! Also it's nice to have a lot of bubble wrap on hand. I tend to toss the wig hairnets and baggies which I usually later regret.

    16. Honestly I keep everything-- the box with everything inside is too cool and has too many memories to toss out, and I like to play with bubble wrap. I mean who doesn't--

    17. With my first few dolls, I kept everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I even kept the outer boxes. I think after my third doll, with each new one I started throwing more things away. Now, I keep the inner box, pillows, any COAs or other such papers, and bubble wrap (if it is in good condition) to use when I ship things. If it is a head and comes with a clear plastic container, I keep it. I have this idea I can use them for something, though I have yet to find a use for them. I will still keep outer containers if they are in good condition, and I think I will need to ship something in the near future.

I did keep a lot of things with one of my recent purchases. My Simply Divine Harlequin came packed in a cute little box with feathers and tiny paper cut-outs around him. I packed all of the stuff he came with back in the little box and put it in a drawer where I usually keep floating heads. I will probably find something to do with it eventually, but for now it is just saved in that drawer.

    18. I havnt gotten my first doll yet, but for the accesories I keep the packing slips. I want to make some what of a BJD scrap book. :)

    19. I usually just keep the actual doll box if it is really pretty and not too big (i don´t have much space for big boxes), the pillows, papers, etc...and usually i keep doll´s clothes or wig in that boxes with the doll itself.

About the outer shipping box i never kept one, it will be too much for my house.

    20. I keep everything doll-related, including the doll box, paperwork, etc. Whatever I don't keep that can be recycled, gets recycled. My mother has a pottery studio so all of the bubble wrap & miscellaneous packing material goes to her. The doll boxes themselves are great to store doll-specific items & clothes in & my tinies live in one box where they are well protected by all the padding. Someone here on DoA (can't remember who, sorry) put up a tutorial on making a little bed out of the doll box--so useful! ; )
