It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Where do you keep your BJDs' boxes?

Feb 10, 2011

    1. I keep almost everything.
The inner box, where I can store the doll or her stuff. The face-protector-thingie, the bubblewrap (If i have somewhere to store it, the authentic-card-thing...

I think I only throw away the outer box and the wrapping.

    2. Obviously, I keep the doll. LOL! But Seriously, the inner box especially if it's really cute. Also the COA and other freebies if there is... :)

    3. I keep everything. Surely it would be a nightmare to sell on the doll if you threw most of the packaging out? (I guess I'm referring to the inner box and perhaps the face protector more than anything else but for the bigger sizes I'm sure it would be difficult to locate or an unnecessary expense to buy the outer box too.)

    4. I keep almost everything. I use the box to store all of that dolls stuff. I might sell the extra hands, eyes, etc. but everything else stays with me.

    5. I keep everything.

Bubblewrap in bulk is so very expensive and finding boxes that are a good size is a gamble. So I keep everything to reuse; it saves me money and time.

Dolls boxes I keep for convenience, storage and sentimental reasons. I like boxes. A lot. Sometimes more than the dolls themselves. o____O

    6. I keep everything that comes with the doll, like her manual, her box, and of course herself, her clothes, wigs, and any accessories that she comes with. I don't, however, keep her shipping box or the shipping matterials such as bubble wrap as that would take up way too much space. I keep the other stuff because I believe the price I paid include those (doll's box, manuals, etc.) In addition, there are times when I want to store my dolls because I run out of space for them, and their boxes are the best place for me to store them.

    7. I keep the box and the cushions. I also have and envelope for cards and buttons.

    8. I'm an unrepentant box-tosser. I do keep cushions, doll accessories, any freebies included, and of course the doll! I have kept the occasional really sturdy box to store other stuff in, and if I'm even remotely thinking of selling the doll on I'll keep the box to ship. I just don't have room to store a lot of boxes. Even tiny PukiPuki boxes annoy me if they're empty.

    9. I try to keep the box, some cushions, faceplate, papers, freebies. I won't keep the outside shipping box and bubblewraps (well, sometimes I keep the bubblewraps when I ship something, so I always have enough of that at hand)
The boxes are good for storing clothes and stuff. But I'm quite out of free room for further boxes... the first thing I throw away are cushions to get empty boxes, later I might get rid of some boxes (from cheaper dolls, plain ones or doubles)

    10. I keep the boxes, but not the bubble wrap and paper used to fill the body part think that I could use them in the future, or I'm just a pack-rat.....

    11. hahaha this is honestly embarresssing I was sitting here reading this thinking I have mostly dolls off the MP which did not come in a company box so I didn't keep it...but then I remember I kept my first dolls box and now I can not remember where I put it!!

For the most part if the doll is new I will keep the company box and pillows/bubblewrap/foam in case if resell at some point plus as many have said the bubble wrap is nice to have even if it is just for stress relief. I also keep all the shipping labels and certificates and if the doll is used and the previous owner includes a note i keep that as well I also date everything on the back, to help me remember when it came and who it is linked too.

    12. I keep most of the stuff that comes with my dolls. If the outer box is in good condition I'll keep it for awhile, but I don't keep more than 3 big SD shipping boxes at a time. I just don't have room for more. Inside those boxes I store the nice bubblewrap I get with things. I never keep peanuts. I put those in a garbage bag and give them to the pack and ship place in town so they can reuse them.

I always keep the doll's company box. I have them packed in the top of my closet, and in the guest bedroom's closet. xD And I keep all certificates and extras sent by the company too. Even if I plan on never selling a doll, I might need their boxes if I need to ship them off to a customizer or just for transport. You never know! :)

    13. I keep the box, the pillows and the elastic bands used to attach the bubble wrap; the wrap itself gets recycled for shipping other items. I've moved house an awful lot (16 times in 26 years, plus back and forth to boarding school & uni!) so I tend to hang onto boxes for important things out of sheer paranoia if nothing else.

    14. From my Pukipuki, I kept:
      - original red box she was in
      - the cards that came with the doll
      - the front of the silver shiny package (it had the picture of a Pukipuki Pongpong, I had cut it out nicely to keep it)
      - the small piece of transparent paper that was wrapped around the doll's head (I re-use it whenever I store my doll)

It was my first doll, so I wanted to keep as much as possible that was related to the doll. :) I did keep a piece of newspaper as well (which was used to fill the empty space in the cardboard box) because it was in a foreign language. XD But that piece was soon trashed away by my mother.

    15. keep everything else aside from the box mostly cuz im in to tinnies which are small and easy to pack if lets say i move out!

    16. I like a lot of people here seem to, keep everything. Well not everything, like I don't keep the outer packaging, peanuts or bubble wrap, but I keep anything that comes inside the dolls actual box. The boxes I have for my SD boys are gorgeous and I read on here earlier someone was saying that they love the boxes almost more than they love the dolls and I have to agree with that statement. I don't know what it is about them, but I am in love with my dolls pretty boxes. They're special to me it's weird I know, but I'd be so sad if anything ever happened to them, same as I would be is anything were to happen to my dolls.
I also keep the packing foam layers from inside their boxes, that are cut out to fit around them and protect them, just in case I ever have to move them somewhere long distance or something, like I will when I move in a few months. I'd rather they be in their protective boxes rather than their cloth meet bag.
My BBD Vin came with a birth certificate/ authentication certificate and a care guide, which I kept, and Winter, my RD came with a Ringdoll card as well, which is one of my favorite things it's plastic like a credit card and embossed with pretty shiny gold designs and stamped with an identification number, it's so pretty and seems so official. I didn't write his name on it or anything, and I just keep it in my doll bag with my odds and ends, but I love it and I'd love to order another ringdoll and get another ^_^

    17. It's interesting to see how many people keep or toss their boxes. For me, my dolls have a somewhat unconventional of coming to me. My first doll was from a GO so I only collected the doll box, no shipping box. I kept everything, including the bubblewrap. My 2nd doll was bought head first, then body. Head's box is still with me but I've since used the bubblewrap for shipping. I collected his body at a meetup so no packing there, hehe. 3rd doll is a head, I kept the box and wrapping paper, whatever it is called. Bubblewrap usually gets used up for shipping other things, and I keep the boxes for shipping. So far, I've used 1 box for shipping my doll head out for faceup. I also like to keep any brochures they give. They're so pretty :D

    18. Usually I will keep whatever is in the box, even the foam and bubble wrap. The pillows I can use, and the boxes work great for transporting my dollies to and from college. The only exception is that I do not keep free wigs or eyes if they do not work for any of my dolls. If the eyes are glass and not fantasy eyes I will most likely keep them however, because I have so many dolls planned that I will likely be able to use them.

    19. Any bubble wrap goes into our wrapping etc cupboard, since we can always use it for other things. I don't really keep packing peanuts, since we have a cat who would eat them and get sick :S
Anything that came in the box with the doll I keep. Boxes, pillows, foam inserts, everything. Just because it is a whole lot easier if I ever have to move, I can just wrap them back up in their boxes and know they're safe, rather than having them bouncing about in my arms in a car XD

    20. I kept my boy's box and the cushion inside, but threw out the bublewrap after popping it all. ^^; I didn't throw away the shipping box, but it disappeared somehow...
